Why Nissan Almera is a classic. Nissan Almera vs Nissan Almera Classic comparisons - what to choose

In the first part of the review of this bestseller, we will touch on the problems with corrosion of the body and wear of the interior and salon equipment, and in the second we will deal with motors, gearboxes, electrics and chassis.

To most buyers, the car seemed a purebred "Japanese", although the bulk of the "simple" Nissan Almera were of British origin. And Almera Classic was generally ... "Korean", and a very famous brand Samsung. But we don't associate Samsung with automobiles in any way, but this division of Renault -Nissan is one of the largest and produces many models - remember ... Of course, the origin of NAK, as the owners fondly call their model, is constructively very Japanese , because this is a development of the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy G 10 / N 16, produced in Japan since 2000. In Korea, the model was dubbed the Samsung SM 3 and has been produced since 2002. And in 2006 they started importing to Russia and Ukraine under the name Nissan Almera Classic. In general, this car had many names: like the Nissan Sunny it was sold in Asia and the Middle East, like the Renault Scala in Mexico, the Caribbean and Egypt.

Despite its appearance on our market in 2006, it is not at all the next generation of Almera N 16, but just a "side branch", albeit with its own special design and interior decoration. Moreover, in terms of the quality of the interior, the Classic is in many ways inferior to English cars, which at first could have been a "surprise". But there have always been few English cars, and it is the Korean-Japanese version that we associate with the name "Almera". Well, as for technology, the difference is not so noticeable: the British offered mainly 1.5- and 1.8-liter gasoline engines and a couple of diesel ones. Moreover, the "senior" petrol 1.8-liter came out not too resourceful due to errors in the design of the catalytic converter. And the Korean car received a single 1.6-liter engine, but it is quite progressive, powerful and at the same time not too complicated. And very reliable.

Technics

As for the design, it is typical for budget cars of this class of the early 21st century, except that there is only one body option - a four-door sedan (hatchbacks and station wagons were only in the European lineup). Suspensions - MacPherson strut in front, a simple beam at the back, the engine under the hood is transverse, the arrangement of the units is in-line-linear. The set of active safety equipment is also minimal here: ABS and airbags.

In the photo: Nissan Almera "2000-06

Buyers were offered a very conservative choice of transmission - "mechanics" or "automatic", and the power of the 1.6-liter engine is also "average" - 106-118 hp. No striking technical features or unique characteristics. A very average car, the main advantages of which are simplicity and high build quality. We bought a lot of them, because despite the obvious loss to more modern models in comfort, handling and safety, Almera had a low price, a fairly spacious interior and the image of an unbreakable "Japanese".

Even after the release of the much more advanced and practical Hyundai Solaris, Kia Rio, and there were those who chose a larger car, considering it more prestigious. And the Korean assembly was considered more preferable than the Uzbek or domestic: the complexes about "our" cars had not yet become obsolete. The history of the model ended in 2013, when the already extremely outdated Almera Classic was replaced with a completely new model, the assembly of which was mastered by AVTOVAZ and in which the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy body was combined with the interior and chassis of Renault Logan.

The car clearly has enough fans, and some of them are not quite adequate - just remember the project "Wolf", when the long-suffering Almera was first tormented by collective farm "tuning", and then the remnants of the body were transplanted onto a platform from an old BMW E 34 535 with the help of polyurethane foam and welding. Cars with high or low suspension, "benches" on the trunk, various "spoilers" and other pseudo-aerodynamic elements, with altered leather interiors and blue "pistes" are also found regularly. Like the Lada Priora, many are trying to "refine" this car to the best of their ability.

Body

The key to success in the Russian market is a strong and preferably not rusting body at all. In the Nissan Almera Classic, it almost does not rust, but with the durability everything is simple: the car passes crash tests quite tolerably, and that the body metal is thin is already nit-picking, it does not wrinkle or pierce with a finger. And the original body parts are very cheap, so when recovering from an accident, you can not risk installing analogs.

The anti-corrosion protection is very good, and the paint holds on tightly, flies around only after serious blows. "Kotska and scratches" happen, especially on the edges, where the paint layer is too large, and from this it loses its elasticity - especially since there are the most vulnerable parts of the doors and wheel arches. But immediately the chip does not rust, the owner has several months to take action before traces of serious corrosion appear.

The first signs of misfortune should be looked for on the inner edge of the rear arches, here the damage zone can already be a couple of centimeters wide. The lower parts of the doors hold better - defects usually appear not along the entire edge, but in separate spots. However, in any case, this suggests that the car must be immediately sent to the body shop: the metal is thin, and corrosion will gnaw through the panels in a few years. Defects on the edge of the bonnet and roof are also expected.

But the corrosion of the rear window guide is a surprise for Almera personally. Another major nuisance is the mud-clogged front fender pockets. Dirt gets under the plastic locker and remains inside as there is not enough water flow to flush the space. When the door is open, the pocket is clearly visible from the side of the threshold - it is easiest to rinse it with a pressure washer. And if you pry on the fender liner, the pocket will be just as clearly visible from the other side: there is usually a layer of dirt even more - it's not even a layer, but an array, sometimes the mass of the "soil" is a couple of kilograms. The wing, motor shield, door pillar and sill can potentially suffer from such proximity.

In the photo: Nissan Almera Classic "2006-12

In general, what the accumulation of dirt leads to in this area can be seen on the example of Mercedes /. If there is soil, but corrosion is not yet visible, then careful processing of the cavities is recommended - after all, it will not be possible to close them completely, you can only clean them regularly and put oiled material. Fortunately, these elements have a good anti-corrosion layer, and rust manifests itself mainly on cars of the first years of production with a difficult fate.

Decaying rear arches are very rare, but the nuance is that the neglected corrosion of the inner edge of the wing literally destroys the joint sealant in one place, and after a while the process of the rear arch being rotted out from the inside starts. Due to the thin metal of the panel, the result will be visible from the outside in three to four years. The anti-corrosive agent of this area with penetrating compounds is highly recommended.

The rear arch also has no lockers, and it is recommended to renew the bitumen coating after at least 5 years of operation: it cracks, and further damage to the body paintwork is possible. Yes, and the bottom must be monitored - the outer panels are galvanized, but many power elements are not. When the exterior of the machine is in excellent condition, you will find traces of corrosion on the many seams below.

In addition to corrosion, there are much more obvious problems. For example, the headlights wear off very quickly - the plastic is poorly selected. Their tightness is also not perfect, fogging is a typical problem. The plastic elements of the body are poorly painted, the outer door handles are especially affected. And the material of the bumpers is not very good: they crack easily with light blows, especially in winter, and they do not have the most comfortable and reliable fastenings.

In the photo: Nissan Almera Classic "2006-12

Behind the side moldings you need an eye and an eye: they can be easily "disassembled" into two parts, but are not cheap. Regarding the price of the car, of course: it is not worth comparing with the Mercedes ones, the set of which will pull at the cost of a used Almera in poor condition. And the paint on them is very bad. Otherwise, nothing special, for a budget car, the body is not bad. And if you compare with some competitors, it turns out that the Almera is much better protected from corrosion, and its body parts are cheaper.

In the photo: Nissan Almera Classic "2006-12

Unfortunately, after accidents, corrosion is a frequent phenomenon, because the durability of the body is based primarily not on the high quality of the metal, but on the thoroughness of the paintwork and a thin layer of zinc on the metal of the outer thin panels. Internal elements are not galvanized and protected only by a layer of paintwork and mastics. Any damage and violations of the painting technology lead to the appearance of new foci of corrosion. External non-original elements are usually without galvanizing, and the quality of the metal is not too high, so if the repair was from a particularly budgetary one, then it usually lasts for a short time.

The equipment and body mechanics are also quite reliable, although not without sin. First of all, it is worth paying attention to the condition of the wipers: their niches are usually littered with debris, and the condition of the hinges leaves much to be desired. Leashes also rust, but this is not a big problem. If the wipers work with uneven pauses, then it's time to sort out the trapezoid, otherwise the motor will burn out.

The bonnet mounts are rather weak, the hinges begin to knock, and the lock is not very well made: with small changes in geometry, it tends to open, which is fraught with major repairs. With age, door hinges begin to knock, the seal is crumpled, and the locks themselves wear out. By the way, the sealant can leak, check the floor carpet in the area of \ u200b \ u200bthe doors after rain.

The trunk lid is not only often not stained from the inside and corrodes, but it is also rather weak - it bends easily when trying to "shove something unstoppable" into the trunk. If the gaps are uneven, then it is quite possible that the matter is not in the accident, but in the cover. And the slightest leaks lead to the fact that the trunk loses its tightness. A wet trunk usually has small foci of corrosive damage - these are trifles, you can ignore it for another ten years, but the wiring may suffer in the near future. In addition, there are always chances that the trunk will not open: the lock turned out to be a surprise, he really does not like strong blows and the ingress of dirt and dust. In general, lubricate and be gentle.

Salon

The interior of the Almera Classic is far from its strongest point. Cheap materials with a claim to comfort look bad after five years of typical use. And if you are going to buy a car that is eight to ten years old, then it is quite possible that there will be "fear and horror" in the cabin. Plastic corny peels off over time and, moreover, actively absorbs dirt and dust.

The interior fabric is also not durable, the seat frames and foam rubber inside deteriorate over time, and the seats completely lose their shape. If the driver's weight is "over a hundred", then the same happens with runs up to one hundred thousand kilometers. With runs of 150-200 thousand and not too neat maintenance, the salon already leaves a frankly unpleasant impression - this is not a modern premium car for you, where by a hundred thousand sometimes you cannot even see signs of wear. But there are usually few breakdowns: failures of buttons and lamps do not cause much trouble, all blocks are easily disassembled and repaired.

But the number of "crickets" is multiplying: upholstery made of hard plastic is gradually losing fastening, the front panel creaks, the steering column knocks, the rear shelf knocks, the doors begin to rattle with locks. Initially, there was no particular comfort, and with age it does not increase.

In the photo: Torpedo Nissan Almera Classic "2006–12

Official cars, with their frequent car washes, usually retain a decent look for a long time, and the cars of builders-summer residents, with runs of less than a hundred, make you want to run away from them. On the other hand, there is almost nothing to break here. All simple electrification works: wiring, electric drives, heating - nothing is in a hurry to break down. Unless the interior fan has a very limited resource, it was often changed under warranty due to whistling at low speeds.

What's next?

As you can see, Almera Classic, even after 100 thousand runs in the body and interior, is more or less good. Do simple motors fail? Can I take it with an "automatic"? Will the suspension and electrical parts require a substantial investment? We will talk about this in the second part of the review.

09.12.2016

Nissan Almera Classic is a budget car that has nothing to do with the incredibly popular, at that time, "". In the Korean market, the car was sold under the name "Samsung SM3" and, almost immediately after the premiere, became the sales leader, but in the CIS, the car with the name "refrigerator" was selling very poorly. Therefore, marketers had to urgently look for a solution to this problem, but as soon as Samsung was renamed NISSAN, the sales started. In the secondary market, the number of offers for the sale of used options is very large, therefore, we had no right to ignore this car.

A bit of history:

Nissan Almera Classic was developed in 2002 by Renault-Samsung and NISSAN on the basis of the Nissan Pulsar car. Initially, the car bore the name "SM3" and, only after the debut of the model on the European market, it was renamed into a more familiar name for buyers "Almera" with the prefix Classic. Initially, the car was assembled in Korea at the Samsung plant, and since 2006, production has been established in Russia. Before the car appeared on the CIS markets, a minor restyling was carried out. Nissan Almera Classic is built on the "N16 Pulsar" platform. In 2008, work was carried out to eliminate the most common shortcomings, after which the problems, during the warranty period, became several times less. In 2013, the manufacturer stopped production of this model, in the same year, sales of a new generation started.

Advantages and disadvantages of Nissan Almera Classic with mileage

The paintwork and metal of the car body are of satisfactory quality, due to this, corrosion on the car is extremely rare. But, after 3-4 years of operation, plastic moldings and door handles begin to slowly climb. The front optics are also not famous for their quality, as a result, the protective plastic quickly becomes cloudy, also, on many copies, after 4-5 years, the headlight reflector begins to peel off. If, when driving on an uneven road, a knock is heard from the right side, most likely lubrication of the hood loop is required.

Engines

Nissan Almera Classic was equipped with only one 1.6 petrol engine (107 hp). This power unit is equipped with a timing chain drive, the resource of the metal chain is 200-250 thousand km, but after 100,000 km of run it can stretch at any time. The first sign of the need to replace the chain will serve as a diesel rumble at idle and a metal clatter when starting the engine. The disadvantages also include a leak in the upper radiator pipe. If there is a smell of gasoline in the passenger compartment, the fuel rail clamp must be replaced. On many copies, the radiator fan works without turning off, the cause of the ailment is the loss of contact due to the breakage of the power steering pressure sensor connection wire.

The fuel pump is quite reliable, its resource is 150-200 thousand km, but if you often drive with an almost empty tank, it may fail prematurely. Difficulty starting the engine will be the first signal about the need for replacement. If you notice that the car starts to lose traction and the speed drops, most likely you need to replace the fuel filter. Closer to 150,000 km, the resonator will need to be replaced. It is very simple to check the state of the resonator, you need to lift the car on a lift and, if water is dripping from the "can", then it will soon have to be changed. Otherwise, this motor is reliable and unpretentious in operation.

Transmission

Two types of gearboxes were installed on the Nissan Almera Classic - a five-speed mechanics and a four-speed automatic. This car is that rare case when an automatic machine is more reliable than a mechanic. The biggest drawback of a mechanical transmission is considered to be a small resource of the input shaft bearing (it starts to buzz on a run of 130-150 thousand km), and if it is not replaced in time, an expensive box repair is inevitable. Due to the fact that the box does not have a reverse gear synchronizer, on many copies it is not possible to turn it on the first time. The clutch, with careful operation, on average, nurses 100-130 thousand km, but it also has its weak points - the return spring on the pedals (it often breaks) and the clutch master cylinder (loses its tightness). An automatic transmission, with proper operation and proper maintenance (oil change every 60,000 km), will last at least 200,000 km, but, as a rule, the box starts pushing by 120-150 thousand km.

Suspension Nissan Almera Classic

The Nissan Almera Classic is equipped with a standard suspension for budget cars, an independent front suspension, such as MacPherson, and a semi-independent beam at the rear. The suspension has good energy consumption and copes well with the unevenness of our roads, but it is not suitable for dynamic driving. There is no anti-roll bar in the standard configuration, but, due to the fact that fastenings for it, nevertheless, are provided, many owners install the stabilizer on their own. To compensate for the lack of a stabilizer, the manufacturer installs reinforced suspension elements. Operating experience has shown that the chassis of the Nissan Almera Classic is quite hardy, as for a budget car.

The shock absorber anthers received the most criticism from the owners; after 30,000 km, cracks appear on them, which leads to a decrease in the shock absorber service line. If you monitor the condition of the anthers, the shock absorbers will last up to 100,000 km. Silent blocks, ball joints and wheel bearings, on average, take care of 70-90 thousand kilometers. Steering tips run 90-100 thousand km, thrust - 100-120 thousand km. The steering rack, surprisingly, turned out to be very hardy, and rarely surprises up to 150-200 thousand km. The springs are considered to be the weak point of the rear suspension, and if you constantly carry three adult passengers behind them, they will have to be replaced even up to 100,000 km. The most common brake problem is fluid leakage from the master cylinder. This is due to the insufficient length of the hose that connects the brake fluid reservoir and the cylinder. To fix the problem, it is recommended to replace the hose with a longer one.

Salon

As in many budget cars, you will not find exquisite design and high-quality finishing materials here. Also, do not count on the abundance of electrical equipment (in the Nissan Almera Classic there is not even an on-board computer). Despite the small amount of electronics, electrical problems are common. The most common ones are: failure of the ventilation unit and the heating filaments of the windshield wipers.

Outcome:

Nissan Almera Classic, despite its low cost, is a fairly reliable car. Before buying this car, it is important to know that the cost of maintenance and spare parts is not less than that of a thoroughbred Japanese.

Dignity Flaws

Low cost

Unreliability of a manual transmission

Simple and reliable engine

High maintenance and repair costs
Comfortable and reliable suspensionHigh fuel consumption (up to 13 liters in the city)

Corrosion resistance of the body

Poor quality of interior finishing materials

If you are the owner of this car model, please describe the problems that you had to face during the operation of the car. Perhaps it is your feedback that will help the readers of our site when choosing a car.

Best regards, editors AutoAvenu

Earlier I wrote about + and - without being the owner, I acquired, I am using it and now I am typing the text in a different quality ...
About the poles:
1) Big sedan, for reasonable money and the freshest years
2) Perhaps the most spacious in its class.
3) The strength and simplicity of components and assemblies are internal from Renault and external Japanese look from Nissan.
4) Not expensive in maintenance, maintenance. Spare parts, consumables in any car shop. In fact, one to one from Largus ...
5) ICE K4M, simple, reliable, with a tremendous motor resource and the absence of a phase regulator.
6) Simple, strong, well-adapted suspension for our roads.
7) Excellent visibility on the rear-view mirrors.
8) Decent clearance for a sedan of 160 mm. and not a single suspension element destroys this clearance.
9) A large trunk, folding the backs of the rear row seats further increases it.
10) Very good light of the front optics.
"Russian Almera" is one of the most common sedans from working in a taxi, thanks to the summation of the above advantages and the presence of the K4M engine, which, without any manipulations, nurses up to 500 thousand km, then replace rings, oil seals and back into battle!

1) The K4M engine was designed at a time when the engineer was thinking about the reliability and durability of the motors. Therefore, the cast-iron block, simplicity of design, hundreds of thousands of kilometers before overhaul! But, attention to the timing unit, the planned replacement of the timing belt + rollers every 60 thousand km. or every four years, whichever comes first. For 120,000 km, we will also replace the pump, as well as the rivulets' belt and rollers to it.
2) Design feature of the valve cover. It is fastened with small bolts and acts as a single yoke for the camshafts.
3) Poor tightness of the motor. The valve cover and the place of contact of the oil separator with the valve cover may shed.
4) On sedans with manual transmission, control over the state of the left front drive for the presence of fogging in the boot and possible leakage of transmission fluid. The design is the same as in Renault Logan!
5) automatic transmission DP2 is afraid of: contaminated transmission oil, prolonged driving at high speeds, slippage. Inclined to overheating. At minus t, start the movement, warm up. Having started the movement, do not give high revs initially. Solenoids come out of standing, first of all, the linear pressure solenoid suffers oil in the automatic transmission.
6) Not an important view in the rearview mirror.

So far, no intervention!
Scheduled engine oil change -Elf Evolution 900 SXR with a viscosity of 5w30, recommended for these Renault engines. Oil filter change -Mann 75/3.
In the near future, the replacement of the air filter is still the same Mann 1858/2 and the cabin filter.
If you do not put off the ascetic interior of the car, I recommend this sedan for purchase! For those who do not practice aggressive driving, who need a car for everyday, problem-free operation and want to save their family budget by spending the money they earn not on hardware, but on more significant, fundamental needs!
Good to all!

Many people are wondering what can now be bought in the Russian car market for an amount not exceeding 400,000 rubles. At the same time, so that the car is not complete trash, relatively reliable, and inexpensive to maintain. The amount is not large, and if the products of the Russian and Chinese car industries do not inspire confidence for one reason or another, you will have to look at the secondary market. Today I propose to consider and compare two popular representatives of the "C" segment: Nissan Almera Classic or Ford Focus 2.

As for the appearance of both cars, at the moment, both models can be said to be outdated, but in truth, even being new, they did not differ in particular sophistication. There is a choice of what is called the taste and color ...

In the Russian market, the Nissan Almera Classic was presented only in the sedan body, when the Ford Focus could be chosen with bodies - a five-door and three-door hatchback, a sedan and a station wagon.

In terms of interior and finishing materials, both cars have hard plastic in the cabin and fabric seat upholstery. With regard to design and ergonomics, the Ford Focus interior will be more preferable, since there is, frankly, nothing to catch the eye in the Nissan Almera Classic interior. The optional equipment of the Ford Focus is also richer, although not abundant by today's standards.

In terms of dimensions, the volume of the interiors and trunks of the car, the cars are almost identical, so everyone can measure what is called for themselves.

Engines Nissan Almera Classic

As for the types of engines, only one version of the gasoline engine was installed on Nissan - a volume of 1.6 to 107 "forces", aggregated either by a 5-speed "mechanics" or by a 4-speed automatic. At the same time, as many as five gasoline units were available for the Focus, with a volume of 1.4 to 2 liters.

The Nissan QG16DE engine was developed by Aichi Machine Industry in 1999 and lasted on the assembly line until 2013. It is a simple in-line "four" with a cast iron block and a timing chain drive with variable valve timing on the intake shaft, EGR system to reduce emissions and an intake manifold with variable intake geometry. At its time, it was a fairly progressive motor, which, moreover, was not demanding on maintenance. Since the cylinder block is cast iron, it can always be bored out, which is good for a used car, and they usually have rather big mileage. The chain usually stretches towards the end of its resource, which is 150,000 km for it.

This motor does not have hydraulic compensators, so adjusting the valve mechanism clearance after buying a car with any mileage is simply mandatory. Often runs are wound up, and few people produce such works from the first or second owners. As sores, you can recall the still short-lived catalyst and the constantly clogged throttle valve. For the rest, it is a simple reliable Japanese motor with an average resource of 300,000 km.

There are usually no problems with a manual transmission, a simple reliable "mechanics". The four-speed automatic transmission Jatco (Nissan) JF404E is also not particularly whimsical. The only thing that should be taken as prescribed is the obligatory oil change every 90,000 km along with the filter, and then the box can easily last 200,000 km.

Engines Ford Focus 2

Ford Focus has a much wider range of motors. The simplest engine for Ford Focus 2 in Russia is a 1.4-liter Duratec 16V Sigma (Zetec-SE) with 80 hp. The motor is pretty hassle-free, but it also has drawbacks. In addition to the catastrophic lack of power, they occasionally have a thermostat in one of two positions, and then the motor either constantly overheats or, on the contrary, cannot warm up to operating temperature. Since there are no hydraulic lifters, valve adjustment is required every 100 thousand kilometers. Timing drive type - belt. Its replacement should be carried out every 160 thousand km.

Both Duratec Ti VCT 1.6 engines are 100 hp and 115 hp. have a similar architecture with a 1.4 liter engine. The indications for service are absolutely the same. All these three motors, according to the manufacturer, have a resource of 250 thousand km, but in fact they travel at least 100 thousand km more….

Ford 1.8 liter engine (Duratec-HE / MZR L8) 125 horsepower. Unlike Duratec's smaller displacement, there is already a timing chain drive, which significantly increases reliability. But at the same time, the 1.8-liter engine has a congenital disease of floating idle speed. This motor is actually one of the most problematic in the Duratec lineup and better look at the next engine.

Ford 2.0 L Duratec HE / MZR LF 145 hp. The design is the same 1.8 liters, but with larger diameter cylinders (87.5 mm versus 83 mm). Compared to 1.8 liters, the two-liter sibling looks preferable from all sides: it is more elastic, more powerful, works quieter, and the consumption is the same, plus it does not lack floating speed, as on the 1.8 version. All motors have the problem of the fragility of the camshaft oil seals. The thermostat often breaks down even up to 100 thousand km, and the engine does not heat up or, on the contrary, overheats. You also need to monitor the condition of the candle wells, if oil is found there, you need to tighten the valve cover or replace the gasket. If after 3000 rpm the car refuses to drive and the Check Engine lights up, then it's time to replace the intake manifold flap control valve. In addition, valve clearances need to be adjusted every 150-160 thousand km. Despite all these shortcomings, the motor manages the declared 250 thousand km without any problems, and continues to drive further, up to about 350 thousand km, after which everything rests on the resource of the aluminum block.

Manual transmissions do not have any pronounced problems, in fact, like automatic transmissions. Everything is maintainable, easy to maintain, and at the same time inexpensive.

Suspension Nissan Almera Classic and Ford Focus 2

Suspension Nissan Almera Classic is a classic layout for cars of this kind: McPherson front, rear torsion beam semi-independent. The suspension very well swallows our reality in the form of holes in the roadbed and in view of its spaciousness of the structure it rarely breaks down prematurely, but in the event of a breakdown, it is repaired for a penny, and it runs the same amount, the main thing is not to save money and buy original spare parts.

The Ford Focus Mk2 also has a McPherson in front, but in all trim levels there is already a multi-link suspension at the back, and being the roots of a European car, it has a more precisely tuned chassis, and as a result - sharper handling.

To summarize: Nissan Almera Classic or Ford Focus 2

To summarize this entry, each car has its own pros and cons. For all the obvious advantages of Ford Focus in view of its greater equipment and manufacturability, Nissan can beat it with a simple thing: a lower price. Due to the fact that the Nissan Almera Classic was initially cheaper as a new car, now such a car in 2012 with automatic transmission in the maximum configuration usually costs about 400,000 rubles. Ford Focus 2 for this money, in comparable trim levels, will be years older, and no matter how good the car it was from the beginning, who knows - how it was driven all this time.

Well, and such an important point as the assembly. Ford was going to us in Vsevolozhsk, and Nissan in Korea, there he was by the way called

The Nissan Almera is a line of Japanese passenger cars that was launched in 1995. The first generation was produced until 2000, also receiving a restyling in 1998. The second generation was born in 2000 and was on sale until 2006. In parallel, Nissan began promoting Almera to foreign markets, providing it with a new name. This also affected Russia - the Samsung SM3 car appeared on our market in 2006, having undergone some changes relative to the version existing in Japan. Marketers realized that the Samsung car might not find wide demand, so they began to hang the Nissan badge on it, giving the model the name Almera Classic.

As for the "ordinary" Almera, its current version is now also directly related to Russia - it is produced at the AvtoVAZ plant in Togliatti. Its production began in 2012, and the characteristics of the new generation have significantly improved both in comparison with the direct predecessor and with the Classic.

Description Nissan Almera

Restyling in 2000 brought several innovations to the lineup that were considered progressive at that time: it was added to the range of trim levels, and the body received new headlights and a bumper. "Normal" Almera could be equipped with an automatic transmission and an engine up to 1.8 liters.

The 2006 Almera generation included anti-lock braking system, ESP, had a hardened, safer body shell and could be equipped with a 116 horsepower engine. Nowadays, Almera 2 is often found in the secondary market.

Actual in our time, the generation of "new" Almera produced in Russia. It is based on the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy, which is one of the many representatives of the brand. The newest Almera, which has been produced since 2015 and is a restyled version, received a body similar to the Teana, while being based on the original platform. Almera is produced in three trim levels - Velkam, Comfort and Tecna. The second version is more equipped and has:

  • Driver and passenger airbags;
  • Anti-lock braking system;
  • Alloy wheels;
  • Power windows;
  • Seat heating;
  • Air conditioner;
  • Fog lights.

The new Almera is equipped with a range of engines (1.6-liter and 102 horsepower) and a gearbox to choose from - 5 manual transmissions or 4 automatic transmissions. Having released the new Almera, the manufacturers tried to please Russian motorists. According to calculations, he should have been especially liked by loyal fans of the line.

Description Nissan Almera Classic

The model entered the Russian market in 2006. Car modifications, as close as possible to the Classic version (and also released as Samsung), began to fall into different countries since 2003, when the line came out. Nissan Almera Classic was designed to travel on Russian roads in harsh climatic conditions. Dealerships sold this car only in our country - it did not even arrive in Europe.

The implementation of the Classic was a breath of fresh air for Russian fans of the Nissan Almera. This happened not so much because of the long absence of new products, but because of the inconsistency with our road conditions. Despite the name, the Classic has a rather modern look, even by today's standards, which fits in with the surrounding reality. At the same time, the Classic can be purchased, which repels some drivers. For others, it will be an excellent opportunity to save money and get a car, the production of which has been completed.

Comparison

Despite a similar orientation - the Russian market - Almera and Almera Classic have quite a lot of differences, which are largely due to the interval in the periods of production and the countries of origin. A car enthusiast who is going to purchase one of these cars needs to compare the models in more detail. Immediately one can say only one thing - neither the "ordinary" Almera, nor the Classic are superior to each other, since they are dissimilar cars.

Complete set

Nissan Almera 2015 has excellent equipment even in the initial version called "Welcome". The package includes:

  • Interior fabric upholstery;
  • Fog lights;
  • Fifteen-inch steel discs;
  • Front airbags - driver and passenger;
  • Electronic distributor of braking;
  • Immobilizer;
  • Electric glass lifters;
  • Power steering;
  • Audio system;
  • Heated rear window.

The most expensive equipment also adds:

  • Built-in computer with color display;
  • Navigation system;
  • Air conditioner;
  • Heated seats.

Nissan Almera 2015 has excellent equipment for its money, both in the minimum and maximum configuration. At the same time, drivers may expect a more powerful engine from the expensive version - manufacturers report that such an opportunity may appear later.

Nissan Almera Classic, like its more modern relative, has pretty good equipment. Of course, it retreats to the 2015 version, but the reason for this is only the difference in production time. The minimum configuration offers:

  • Central locking locking;
  • Immobilizer;
  • Driver's airbag;
  • Power steering;
  • Height adjustable steering wheel.

More expensive versions include air conditioning, heated seats, electric mirrors, anti-lock braking system and a second airbag at the front. The question is whether the buyer is ready for more funds or considers the version unprofitable. One way or another, the Nissan Almera Classic has only one engine (1.6 liters and 107 horsepower), and also what unites it with the 2015 model.

Prices

Nissan Almera in the minimum configuration will cost about 400,000 rubles. The car has an excellent ratio of price and all basic qualities by the standards of the new - it is an excellent budget passenger car. The most advanced equipment costs about 490,000 rubles - the increase is not so significant.

The Nissan Almera Classic is only available pre-owned. For some drivers, this fact turns out to be decisive - they believe that a used model does not suit them. For the rest, this is a great way to save money on a car, the quality and equipment of which is close to the modern version. A model in excellent condition and of the highest configuration with a mileage of less than 100 thousand kilometers can be purchased for 280,000 rubles. Of course, the price and condition depend on the previous owner.

Specifications

Parameters Nissan Almera 2015:

  • Length - 4656 mm;
  • Height - 1522 mm;
  • Width - 1695 mm;
  • Clearance - 160 mm;
  • The volume of the trunk is 500 liters.

Classic version parameters:

  • Length - 4510 mm;
  • Height - 1440 mm;
  • Width - 1710 mm;
  • Clearance - 165 mm;
  • The volume of the trunk is 460 liters.

Comparing the physical parameters of the two cars, you can see that the new one as a whole has slightly more presentable parameters, as well as a more practical trunk. At the same time, the Classic has the best ground clearance, and its dimensions provide greater stability. The negative aspect of the low body height is the cramped interior.

Appearance

The body and interior of the Almera 2015 were developed by the Nissan Design Association. It is somewhat different from the corporate one and has aggressive headlights and dynamic lines on a slightly forward-leaning body. "New" Almera, which is quite good for a budget model.

Nissan Almera Classic, like the "regular" one, is positioned as an economy class car, but also has an interesting design. Unlike the daring 2015 Almera, the Classic got a more rounded shape - this applies not only to the body, but also to the headlights, radiator grill and glass. It has no unusual features, but it cannot be called boring either.

Interior

Nissan Almera 2015 has a classic five-seater design. The car was created in a favorable time for the company, so the engineers did not stint either on ergonomics, or on the quality of materials and equipment, but only as much as the budget class allows. Thus, three adult passengers can comfortably fit in the back, and the whole car provides a decent level of comfort - higher than that of many "classmates" and beneficial for its money.

Nissan Almera Classic, unlike its competitor in the domestic market, has more modest data in terms of interior. Firstly, it was created during difficult times for the company, which led to obvious flaws and budget antics. The mediocre level of comfort caused a lot of complaints from the drivers, who opted for the second generation Classic. Secondly, the car has national characteristics that stem from the build of the Japanese. The cabin will probably be cramped for a car enthusiast who is more than 180 centimeters tall - he will not only want to raise the steering wheel and lower the seat, but also move them along the car, which, unfortunately, is not possible. Nissan Almera Classic, according to multiple reviews, is one of the most uncomfortable cars in terms of price and quality.

Driving performance

Nissan Almera 2015 has the following dynamic characteristics:

  • Gasoline engine with a volume of 1.6 liters and a capacity of 102 horsepower, which has 4 cylinders;
  • The engine torque is 145 Nm, and its maximum speed is 3750 per minute;
  • Maximum speed - 175 km / h, up to hundreds in 12.7 seconds;
  • Fuel consumption up to 12 liters per 100 km.

Nissan Almera Classic is almost no different from the newer version:

  • Gasoline engine with a volume of 1.6 liters and a capacity of 107 horsepower, which has 4 cylinders;
  • The motor torque is 146 Nm, and its maximum speed is 3600 per minute;
  • Choice between a five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmission;
  • Maximum speed - 177 km / h, up to hundreds in 13.9 seconds;
  • Fuel consumption up to 10.4 liters per 100 km of track.

Comparing the performance of the two cars, we can conclude: the 2015 version is more dynamic, but, while the Classic engine is not as efficient, it provides good fuel economy.

Outcome

If a driver wants to buy a car that is as comfortable as possible for his class, then he should choose Almera 2015. It combines a high level of safety, an ergonomic interior and dynamic qualities that are slightly higher than that of the Classic. The latter is more suitable for those who want to save money, but still get a high-quality and rather powerful car - for those who are ready to sacrifice comfort.
