On each set of 205/55 R16 tires in front of the tests of the pilot passed 500 km to run through. After that, the organizers checked the magnitude of the speakers of spikes and the hardness of rubber.

The manufacturer has been hinting for a couple of years to replace this model as follows, but in no hurry to move from words to business. And if necessary? The second place, scored 915 points and very good results say unambiguously: the potential of the "Contiaiskontact" is still great, this model is early to write off with accounts.

Significantly cheaper German "Gislaved-Nord Frost 100" and Japanese Bridgestone-Blizzard Spike-01 - 2700 rubles per tire. What kind of choose them? To answer, you have to learn the table with the results. According to the results of measurements, these tires are comparable, the difference is only in the subjective assessment of experts. However, "Gislaveda" received 884 points and fourth place, and Bridgestone - 859 points and only the sixth line of the rating.

For 2400 rubles you can buy the fifth "Nordman" (the younger brother "Nokian"). Characteristics are no worse than more expensive "Bridgestone" and "Gislavda". The proposal is tempting that in our table of ranks, this tire scored 886 points, which allowed her to take the honorable third place and climb the podium.

Japanese "Toyo-Owner G3-Ice" is cheaper than "Nordman" only 100 rubles. In the protocol at Toyo, 853 points and the eighth final place. If not so significant, if you are ready to put up with insufficient comfort and mediocre manageability, then the choice of "G3-Ice" is justified.

You can save even more if preferring the "Ice Formula" tire (this is a new Pirelli brand). About 2000 rubles per piece, 863 points and fifth place in the ranking - a good combination. The price of savings is slightly "unlable" characteristics in the snow and insufficient training stability on the asphalt. From Pielli Formula Ice competes "Cordiant-Snow Cross" - 1950 rubles behind the tire. The result is 856 points and seventh place. Participants of our test are all with such marking: these are 14 sets with spikes and nine - without.

The test program is standard, all the routes of the White Hell polygon near the Finnish town of Ivalo are familiar to us - and most importantly, to be lucky with the weather. It was almost lucky: snowfall was not, although the temperature danced from 5 to 23 degrees of frost, so that its influence had to be taken into account by conducting additional races on the "reference" tires. But measurements of the longitudinal dynamics took place in a closed hangar with a more stable temperature.

Here, there was a confusion with Nokian tires, and with a model that is not produced by the first year. And in acceleration, and in braking, Nokian HakkaPeliitta R2 SUV lost not only to fundamental competitors, but even the tires of their own "second line" - Tires Nordman RS2 SUV! Working in the neighboring testes of the company Nokian broke up, they themselves repeated measurements ... A service investigation has shown that the failed tires were released at the factory near St. Petersburg at the end of 2016, more precisely on the 48th week. Then there was a failure in the technological cycle. For details with us, we did not become (apparently, there were deviations either in duration, or in the vulcanization temperature), but they assured that the defective party did not go on sale. Although the external features are all in order, and even the tread rubber hardness is the same as on tires released at the 41st week of 2016 (their results and went to the credit), but the difference in coupling properties on ice reaches eight percent.

After measurements in the hangar, we are chosen on the fastening frost - and once again let's notify that as the temperature drops, the friction tires begin to catch up and even overtake "rose". Asphalt part of the tests are particularly relevant for residents of large cities, in which most of the streets are purified by snow and ice.

The final part of the tests is already in April, on the "summer" coatings. And simultaneously note that this time there were no tires that are spiked.

At the top of the final rating - Tires Nokian Hakkapeliitta 9 SUV. The expected result: if the model of the previous generation regularly won in our tests, then new, and even two types of spikes, easily ahead of competitors.
