In motion, the updated version of the Audi A6 gives the driver a lot of pleasure. The most powerful motor, when you press the gas pedal, allows you to instantly take off and fly forward. The same can be said about the controls - the easy rotation of the steering wheel and the aerodynamic properties combine to give an indescribable feeling. It feels like the car is floating on the highway, despite the unevenness of the asphalt surface.

The improved suspension has exceeded all expectations. This is that rare case of combining both sport and comfort properties. It is so easy to operate that you just want to drive along serpentines. The new A6 responds well to steering and also fits perfectly into even the tightest turns. The best part is that she does it silently and gently. Simply put, it is a sports suspension limousine. The gearbox cannot be ignored either. She is always cocked and ready to switch at any time. And so softly and clearly that you don't even notice the gear change.

At first impressions, the Audi A6 strongly resembles the A8. The only difference separating them is the size. The older model in the lineup is undoubtedly larger and more spacious, although there is still little room in it. They are very similar in terms of comfort and technical equipment. After all, now the new 2018-2019 Audi A6 has a completely new function in the list of its capabilities - autopilot. If previously it was installed only on the Audi A8, now the innovation can be seen on the new product. True, the European government has not yet approved its legal use, therefore, instead of an activation button, the designers installed an ordinary polished "plug" made of a beautiful finishing material into the interior.

Vehicle appearance

The new Audi A6 has completely changed and acquired the C8 body. It is not a copy of the already existing newer models, however, it borrowed a lot from them - a malicious front look, angular edges, sills with doors and other exterior solutions. The new design is very similar to the A7 and A8, although the case was developed completely from scratch. The A6 has always been a kind of compromise between these units, but now it has shone in a new way and is practically no different from them.

So, consider the front of the car. Matrix optics immediately stand out clearly, which cannot be confused with incandescent lamps. Two parallelogram-shaped headlights grab a small portion of the front fenders and taper towards the center of the grille. This configuration makes them look like a pair of evil eyes, looking into which you can see and feel the full power of the new Audi A6. However, without a radiator grill, this effect would be difficult to achieve, so it stretched from the hood to the very bottom of the bumper, in which, by the way, there are air intakes on the sides.

If you look at the rear of the Audi A6 C8, you can see a completely different design that has not yet been seen in this line. That is, this is a completely new development, however, like the whole machine, it took a lot of effort to create. But, taking a closer look, you can see several things that unite all Audi - this is a narrow trunk lid and a massive bumper constantly bulging out. The taillights, like the front ones, run exclusively on LEDs, which save energy and provide a powerful light output. Their dynamic capabilities contribute to the manifestation of bright transfusion of colors, and a chrome strip divides the dimensions across into two parts. That is, there is no such thing in any of the older models - the rear section of the car is a completely new design development.

Now it's worth talking about the side of the car. Here you can see similarities with the older ones in the line, although the dimensions of the Audi A6 are somewhat smaller. Almost the entire body is made of aluminum, which significantly reduces its weight, and a large angle of inclination of the windshield and streamlining of the body improve aerodynamic properties. Side mirrors, an arched roof and a stiffener at the bottom of all four doors fit perfectly into the exterior and emphasize the contour of the sills.

It's time to move inside the car. The interior of the Audi A6, in contrast to its appearance, has a lot in common with the A7, only the panel lacks most of the control buttons. Instead, two touchscreen displays are now integrated to control the entire vehicle. The choice of certain commands displays on the screen all information about the state of components and assemblies, and also allows you to coordinate the behavior and habits of the machine.

In the plans of the concern, the new A6 was supposed to be more competitive than the previous version. To do this, it had to build in many options that provide comfort and convenience while driving. The most relevant and anticipated of these is autopilot. However, it will not be possible to use it yet, since there is no activation button in the cabin. Let's move on to the options that ensure traffic safety. Each time, designers are trying to fit more and more systems into the car that will do half the work while driving. Whereas previously the ABS function was considered an innovation, now it is a necessity for every car. However, this is already the last century. A modern Audi A6 can project an image of a touchscreen instrument panel. Simply put, the driver can magically move the speedometer, tachometer and other gauge readings to the windshield at will.

The interior of the Audi A6 is made exclusively of genuine leather. It will not be possible to see the many buttons on the central panel now, since they all migrated to modified door cards, which, by the way, are also trimmed with leather. In terms of handling, the Audi A6 C8 surpasses even the older models in the lineup. The Audi a6 has been produced by a German auto company since 1994. Despite the short-term release, the car was authoritatively recognized as one of the most elegant and rigorous business class models. The creation of the car was carried out on the basis of the Volkswagen C4, whose platform served as the foundation for the development of both a sedan and a station wagon.

Technical characteristics of the model of German production

For three years, while the conveyor production was in progress, the company managed to change several engine modifications, installing them on the a8. Design

Changes have taken place in both the exterior and the technical specifications of the 2015 line, but we will start, as usual, with the exterior. The first thing that is immediately noticeable is the austere style of the new Singleframe false radiator grille, enlarged air intakes and a revised front bumper in general. I would like to pay special attention to optics. In the basic configuration, the sedan and station wagon are now available Xenon Plus - headlights with integrated LED sidelights.

Two more optics options are available as options - LED technology, where only LED elements are used; new matrix headlights Audi Matrix LED. The latter are characterized by such advantages as the creation of a marking light (for detecting pedestrians in the dark), automatic cornering lighting, and the creation of a darkened area to prevent dazzling of the driver of an oncoming vehicle. Included with the Audi Matrix LED are dynamic direction indicators with a wave pattern.

The body profile of the updated car differs from its predecessors by modified thresholds, forged alloy wheels of 16-17 inches as standard and 18-20 as options, the design of which has also been changed. Like the taillights, the bumper has been slightly tweaked with trapezoidal tailpipes. The body length of both the sedan and the 2015 Audi A6 station wagon has increased to 4933 millimeters and 4943 millimeters, respectively.

  • cruise control;
  • the presence of a proprietary Audi Drive Select to control the operating mode of the engine, suspension, steering and transmission;
  • 5-inch display for displaying useful information about the car, located on the dashboard.

Among the variety of additional options, I would like to mention, first of all, about:

  • electric drive for folding outside mirrors;
  • improved 4-zone climate control;
  • heated seats;
  • setting up the front seats by means of an electric drive;
  • ventilation system;
  • a new information system, where all data will be displayed on a seven-inch high-resolution color display;
  • other configuration of the MMI Navigation Plus multimedia system (15 speakers and a power of about 1200 W);
  • a complex of systems for providing a 360-degree view;
  • panoramic top, etc.

Now let's look at the entire list of power units offered to future buyers of one of the cars of the Audi A6 2015 line. It should be noted right away that there are almost 2 times more representatives of diesel engines than gasoline ones.

Separately, I would like to mention two versions of the V8 TFSI engine, the power of which is 450/560 hp, torque of 550/700 Nm and a volume of 4 liters. The first of them is intended for the sedan and station wagon and works in tandem with the "robot" S Tronic, while the second is for the top-end configuration of the Audi RS6 Avant and works with an 8-speed Tiptronic.
