Question: it is on, then the dipped beam on the Chevrolet Lanos is not on?

One evening I noticed that my left low beam lamp on a Chevrolet Lanos was not lit. I drove into the store, bought a new one and changed it. The lamp came on. Literally in a couple of days, the lamp is off again, I really thought that it burned out and there is some kind of jamb in the work of the headlight. Maybe moisture gets in, or something else. In general, I was depressed.

I left the store and accidentally turned on my neighbor. In the hands of a new lamp, and the old one in the headlight is on. What is it, why is it on or off the dipped beam on the Chevrolet Lanos?

Chevrolet Lanos often has problems with low beam.

I'm just sick with cars. I try to study in detail every car I owned. I like driving at night through the city streets. I try to carry out repairs in my cars with my own hands!

Where to start checking?

When there is no light in one headlamp, then always the check begins with the lamp.

It is possible that the reason is precisely in her. When the filament is burned out in the lamp, you need to buy a new H4U lamp. When a new lamp is being installed, it is not recommended to touch the bulb with your hands, as it will quickly fail later.

The lamp is ok, what's next?

Decoding the fuse box.

If the lamp is in good condition, then you need to look at the fuses.

They are located in the mounting block in the engine compartment of the car next to the battery. When there is no light in the right headlight, check the fuse Ef12 when there is no light in the left headlight, then the fuse is checked Ef11 ... You can find out the location of the fuses using the diagram on the block cover.

Checking the wiring

When it turns out that the fuses are intact, then it is necessary to check the wires through which power is supplied to the headlights. They may be damaged or there may be no contact in the connectors.

No dipped in both headlights

If both headlights are off, then we immediately climb under the hood into the fuse box.

If there is no low beam in two headlights at once, then it is worth looking for reasons to start by checking the fuses, since the likelihood that both lamps burned out at the same time is low.

  1. Check the fuse first Ef19 ... It supplies power from the ignition terminal to the dipped beam terminal.
  2. Then the current flows to the fuses Ef11 and Ef12 .

Greetings friends. We continue the heading on self-repair of the Daewoo Lanos car. This time I have problems with electronics. The headlight range control illumination lamp stopped working. Now I will demonstrate to you. You see, all devices are lit, not backlit. So, we will disassemble and look for the cause of the malfunction.

We open the hatch on the side panel of the dashboard. To do this, you will need to open the doors. We grope the regulator from the inside and gently squeeze it out. There is. Now we disconnect the wires from it. Gently bend the plastic latches on the sides and remove the Daewoo Chevrolet headlight range control unit itself. Then we lightly pry the roller with a screwdriver and remove the board. Remove the silicone cap. And we solder the bulb with a blowtorch. Be careful not to damage the board. In case of failure, I advise you to look for a new spare part for the Zaz Shop website.

Now we solder the new light bulb into place. We put everything in the reverse order and put the part back in place. In principle, the repair is not difficult at all. Thank you all for your attention, good luck.

The head lighting of a Chevrolet Lanos passenger car, before the start of the trip, must be in good condition, since the driver must turn it on not only at night, but also during the day, to indicate the dimensions of his car. Most often, on a Chevrolet Lanos, malfunctions occur in the low beam electrical circuit.

If only one dipped beam headlamp does not light up, then troubleshooting usually begins with checking the condition of a halogen lamp with two tungsten filaments. A possible malfunction could be a burnout of the low beam filament, under which there is a small reflector that directs the beam of light to the top of the headlamp reflector. If this thread is burnt out, you will have to purchase a H4U halogen lamp (60/55 watts), but when installing the lamp, remember that you must not touch its bulb, since after turning on the head lighting it will fail due to overheating.

When, when checking, it turns out that the low beam thread has not blown, then you will have to open the cover of the mounting block located under the hood of the car next to the battery and check the condition of the fuse that protects this electrical circuit. If the dipped beam in the left headlamp does not light, then check the ten amp fuse Ef11, and if the dipped beam in the right headlamp does not light up, then the fuse Ef12 (10A) must be checked. The location of the fuses in the mounting block will tell you the pictogram diagram located on the cover. If it turns out that the lamps and fuses are in working order, then you will have to ring the wires going from the fuse to the lamp holder, for a break or lack of contacts in the plug connectors.

It is also possible that there is no dipped beam, in both headlights at once. The likelihood of simultaneous burnout of the lamps is not so great, so you need to start troubleshooting with the mounting block. First, we check if the fuse Ef19 (10A) is intact, since it is through it that voltage is supplied from terminal 30 of the ignition switch to terminal 30 of the dipped beam relay. And after the contacts of this relay are closed, from its terminal 87, the voltage is supplied to the fuses Ef11 and Ef12, through the low-beam, high-beam steering switch.

This relay may not work for two reasons: either voltage was not supplied to its terminal 85 from the light switch, which should be set to the second position, or the movable contact broke, which does not close contacts 30 and 87. In the first case, you have to check the condition of the fuse F2 located in the mounting block in the passenger compartment on the left sidewall in the area of \u200b\u200bthe passenger's feet and the light switch. In the second case, the dipped beam relay will have to be replaced.
