In fact, we can assume that the Audi A4 B5 is 80 due to the fact that in 1994 Audi decided to make a deep restyling of the 80th and give it the name A4. The profile is as simple as possible, the wheel arches are slightly inflated, the plastic protection at the bottom and in fact there is nothing more interesting here. This model can only be purchased on the secondary market, where the price is completely different due to the long years of production and a large number of motors, the condition also plays a role. The cost varies from 150,000 rubles to 400,000 rubles, which is quite a serious spread for the secondary housing.

This is a good car as a budget purchase, it is comfortable and in principle it can be called legendary. If you still decide to take the Audi A4 B5 (1994-2001), then be prepared to repair it, although it is reliable, but not eternal, the years take their toll.

The new Audi A4 also has a subwoofer, like 10 speakers, reproduces everything that is possible, except perhaps vinyl. To my ears, as well as to the ears of all outsiders and not so listeners, it sounds cleaner and tastier. And there are more settings. A little about the salon. The Audi A4 has a salon, as the right guys like to say, just a spaceship. And I agree with them - stylish, beautiful, high-quality, you don't have to reach anywhere - everything is convenient, at hand. Only confused. If on that A4 everything was intuitive, then here I did not understand half the options. Literally today I accidentally found out - it turns out that I have active cruise control. Overall, the interior is impressive. Yes, the wood is real - a gray oak, however, the rest is also real - metal metal, soft plastic, although I don't know who touches it in life. Sports chairs, Alcantara perforated with leather, with S-line imprints on the backs, well, this is a reason to feel cool, this is understandable, but about the chairs - on the previous one I also had sports chairs, these are much better. My wife and I drove almost without getting up for 16 hours from Moscow - and nothing got sick, did not ache and did not lurch. And we, unfortunately, are far even over 30. The chairs are electric, they sat down comfortably almost immediately and have not changed the settings yet, they sit well. How she rides! Everything is new in it - the engine, chassis, gearbox. As if glued to the road. They say that you can also go sideways on it. It is difficult to imagine this yet.

The shumka is very good. The beauty in the salon is simply incredible, the extended illumination makes itself felt, there are many different colors, and it is also possible to choose your own color. The sports seats hold just super, and as a bonus, excellent fifth point grip with the Alcantara interior. The size inside is like the Audi A6.

The steering wheel (sports) is comfortable, all the buttons are at hand, the speedometer screen is just a miracle, here BMW and Mercedes look and cry, the gearbox switches great and on time, although, again, on Murano, it seems, it was no worse. Of the minuses - a non-removable screen in the middle. For some reason, it seems to me that someday they will definitely break the glass and try to pull it, mistaking it for a tablet, but this is probably a phobia after theft. The handling is excellent. Cons: a scary, huge, monstrous cricket somewhere below, near the left leg. I don't know what it is, but it feels like it's not even a cricket, but some kind of creature that is about to chop off half my legs. And this is on the new German. I do not know whether to be happy or not, but so far this is the only negative at the moment of the essential. Consumption: 6 liters on the highway, 10 in the city, I do not know whether it will increase or not, while it remains at this level. I understand cars like a pig in oranges, that is, all I know is where to pour water into the washer, and I will not find it in every car, so there were some concerns about the great and terrible "butter oil", but so far there is a complete order. So far, the car has not failed, but what could be with the car with such a run? I drove an Audi A4 to the Volga, I walked confidently along the highway, it picks up speed pretty well, again I really like the handling. General conclusions: the car is not bad. To be honest, the interior of the car evokes wild delight in me, I really like the way it drives, so I won't say that I regretted the purchase, but I also can't say that I am in a state of euphoria.

  • This is followed by a 2.0-liter "turbo four" with a capacity of 225 horsepower, developing 350 Nm of peak thrust. In tandem to this motor, a 6-speed "mechanics", a multitronic variator or a 7-band "robot" S tronic with a pair of clutches are offered. Acceleration of such a car from 0 to 100 km / h varies from 6.4 to 6.9 seconds, and the "maximum speed" is electronically limited at around 250 km / h. The appetite of such "A4" is rather moderate - in the combined cycle it "eats" from 5.8 to 6.7 liters of gasoline.
  • The flagship is the 3.0-liter V6, producing 272 "horses" and 400 Nm of torque. It relies exclusively on the 7-speed S tronic and quattro all-wheel drive. This Audi A4 "shoots" from zero to the first hundred in 5.4 seconds, and its top speed is 250 km / h. Such a powerful car consumes 8.1 liters of fuel per centner of the track in the combined cycle.

Now about diesels.

  • The "junior" is a four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbo engine with a return of 150 horsepower and 320 Nm. To help him are assigned a continuously variable multitronic variator and front-wheel drive. One should not expect impressive dynamic and high-speed characteristics from this engine - a 150-horsepower car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.1 seconds and picks up the maximum possible speed of 210 km / h. The main advantage of a diesel engine is fuel efficiency. This Audi A4 consumes only 4.8 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.
  • The role of "middle" is performed by a four-cylinder turbo unit with direct fuel injection. With a power of 177 forces, its limiting moment is set at around 380 Nm. Such a sedan does the exercise to set the first hundred in 7.9 seconds, and its peak speed is 222 km / h. The indicators are not bad, as is the consumption of diesel fuel - only 4.8 liters per 100 km.
  • "Senior" - a 3.0-liter turbodiesel with six V-shaped cylinders. Its power is 245 "horses", and the maximum torque is 500 Nm. It works in conjunction with the 7-speed "robot" S tronic and all-wheel drive quattro transmission. This amount of horsepower provides excellent dynamics - 5.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h, as well as a speed of 250 km / h. At the same time, fuel consumption clearly will not ruin the owner - a 245-horsepower unit is content with only 5.7 liters of fuel.

As for the suspension, there is a double wishbone independent structure with stabilizers at the front, and a multi-link independent structure with trapezoidal levers and a bearing beam at the rear.

Options and prices. In 2015, the most affordable Audi A4 sedan with a 120-horsepower engine and a 6-speed manual transmission is offered on the Russian market at a price of 1,480,000 rubles. The list of equipment for such a car includes six airbags, various electronic assistants, an air conditioner, a standard audio system, a start-stop system, full power accessories and 16-inch rollers.
The four-wheel drive petrol version will cost a minimum of 1,754,000 rubles. The main change in the interior of the Audi A4 is the updated multimedia system. She received an enlarged screen (10.1 versus 8.3 inches from its predecessor). Moreover, it has become sensory.   5. Also in the lineup there is a 2-liter gasoline turbo internal combustion engine, which has 225 horses and 350 torque in its stock. There is good dynamics, it is 7 seconds to hundreds and 250 km / h of maximum speed. At the same time, the consumption is about the same as that of the first engine, even less along the highway.
  6. Finally, the latest and most powerful engine in the lineup is the V6 gasoline turbo. This engine with a volume of 3 liters produces 272 horses and 400 H * m of torque. It accelerates in 5.4 seconds, and the maximum speed is limited to 250 km / h. Its consumption is, of course, the highest, 11 liters in the city and 6 on the highway.

The gearboxes are offered completely different, there are 6-speed mechanics, variators, as well as a 7-speed S-Tronic robot. The drive of a car can also be different, there are front-wheel drive versions, and there are versions with the quattro all-wheel drive system.

In terms of reliability, all motors have it, and in particular, previous versions have it, so if you want to buy a used old version, you can safely take a car with a mileage of 200,000 kilometers. In terms of speed, even the first generation engines have the characteristics that budget class cars now have, while the first generation used is cheaper than a new budget class car.
