You can contact a car service, but before that it is better to try to pump the clutch yourself, because this is not a particularly difficult task that will better acquaint you with your car.

What is needed to bleed the clutch at the VAZ

Unfortunately, you will not be able to complete the entire procedure yourself. You will need the help of at least one person to push the correct pedals for you on time, nothing else is required from him.

If there is air in your hydraulic drive, then, as a rule, it has already entered the brake fluid. First you need to replace it and then bleed the clutch.

You will need a small set of tools:

  • Empty containers for draining.
  • New brake fluid.
  • Waste cleaning cloth.
  • Rubber hose.
  • A wrench, for most models you will need an 8.

Plus your assistant - and you have assembled the basic set of tools for bleeding the clutch at the VAZ.

The process of bleeding the clutch at the VAZ

First, you need to process your action area. Take rags or unwanted cloth and remove dust and other dirt from the nipple inlet. Do not take any action until you have cleared it.

  • Now look at the level of your brake fluid in the clutch reservoir. If the liquid mark is at least 10-15 millimeters lower than the required one, then add a new one. Close the lid tightly.
  • Put the hose on the fitting, it should not just envelop the inlet, but be stretched with some effort in order to fit snugly and not let the liquid pass through.

  • Now you need your assistant. Have him sit behind the wheel of the car and press the clutch pedal five times. The interval between these clicks should be approximately three to four seconds. On the last press, he should hold the pedal in the lower position.
  • Once the procedure is complete, place an empty container under the other end of the hose - this can be a bottle or a basin.
  • Smoothly loosen the union with a wrench. It is precisely to loosen, and not completely unwind, excess air and liquid with bubbles will immediately begin to come out.
  • Don't wait for everything to come out. Tell the assistant to raise the pedal as soon as the bulk of the air is released. At this time, screw the union back on.
  • Add new brake fluid to the reservoir, as the old one came out.
  • Repeat the procedure until the clutch pedal has the desired elasticity. Remember to add new fluid.

So easily you can pump the clutch on your VAZ with just one assistant.
