  • Tighten the lock nut with a wrench.

Before pumping the clutch on the classic VAZ 2107, you need to perform the second adjustment stage, which is done on an overpass or inspection pit. The technology for checking and adjusting the clutch release fork free play is as follows:

  • Disconnect the spring from the fork with pliers, and then from the slave cylinder. You can make a check without dismantling the spring, but when controlling the free wheel, you will have to apply force to overcome its resistance.
  • Check the fork travel with a ruler, pushing it all the way. The readings should be within 4-5 mm, if there are deviations, then the following points should be followed.
  • Clean the cylinder from dirt and spray the nuts with WD-40 grease.
  • Using the keys "13" and "17", one hold the adjusting nut "a", while the other unscrew the lock nut "b".
  • Fix the pusher with pliers and unscrew the nut "b" by two turns.
  • Turning the adjusting nut with the "a" wrench, adjust the free travel of the fork. At the same time, hold the pusher with pliers.
  • Tighten the pusher and adjusting nut "b" with pliers, and then fix the lock nut "a".
  • Check the parameters of the free play of the fork, and if necessary repeat the process.

    Bleeding is needed if the clutch does not completely turn off. For example, the pedal is depressed, the first speed is on, but you have not yet had time to release the pedal, and the car is already moving.     • Brake fluid.
    • Rubber hose 50-100 cm long.
