- The car must be driven onto an overpass, a lift or an inspection pit in the garage.
- On the side of the gearbox there is a special inspection hole closed with a threaded plug with a wrench size of 13 mm. Sometimes there may be small drips of oil around the plug, this is not a malfunction. In addition, the presence or absence of drips does not signal a low or normal oil level.
- It is necessary to wipe the crankcase of the box around the plug with a rag, and then unscrew it. Through the hole, you can check the oil level and the degree of contamination with your finger. If the oil level is very low, then the control sample can be removed with a clean screwdriver or any other object. In no case should the oil contain metal chips and dirt. A magnet is installed on the plug, therefore, by the presence of chips on it, one can also judge the degree of contamination of the oil. If such impurities are present, the oil must be replaced. The level at the lower edge of the inspection hole is normal. At this level, the oil volume in the crankcase is about 2 liters.
- If the level is too low, add oil. To do this, it is necessary to unscrew the 17 mm wide vent plug located on the top of the gearshift mechanism. It is recommended to check the condition of the ventilation duct and, if necessary, flush it. During this operation it is important not to lose the protective rubber breather cap. Operation of the car without it is prohibited, since various dirt will get inside the box.
- You can get to the vent plug only after removing the battery together with the mounting platform, the plug itself has a wrench size of 19 mm.
- Topping up should be carried out until the oil begins to flow out through the control hole. After that, screw the screw plug back in quickly and tighten it tightly.

- After that, the lubricant is topped up with a syringe - until it starts to flow out of the control hole. As soon as this happens, it is necessary to tighten the inspection and filler plugs.
It should be remembered that adding lubricant is required with exactly the same characteristics as indicated by the manufacturer. If the oil has already been changed before, it is highly advisable to add fluid with the same marking and from the same manufacturer that is already present in the gearbox.
Changing the lubricant
Do not use mineral oil for replacement. Fill in synthetic or semi-synthetic with the viscosity parameters indicated above. You can also look at the documentation for the car. Since there is no lubricant change according to specifications, there is no drain hole in the transmission. - After the old fluid has drained out, the pallet seat is cleaned, a new gasket is installed and the pallet is screwed on. If a new gasket is not available, use a sealant. However, the old gasket cannot be reinstalled.
- Most of the new working fluid is poured through the filler plug. To completely remove the used grease, it is required to unscrew the inspection hole at the bottom of the gearbox housing.
- Old grease will begin to pour out through it, so do not forget to substitute the container in time. There is no need to rush, as this procedure will take about 10 minutes.
- After that, oil is gradually added through the filler hole using a syringe until it appears from the control hole.
- The inspection and filler holes are screwed in.
After finishing work, a short test drive is required for the lubricant to warm up and spread over the manual transmission. After that, you can once again check the level of the working fluid, if necessary, top up.
