How to turn on the high beam

The main beam headlights are necessary on poorly lit sections of the highway, when driving at high speed, it helps to see obstacles long before approaching them. These can be pits, road works, sharp turns, animals running out onto the road outside the city. However, it is worth remembering that the high beam will not help, but rather impair visibility during fog, heavy rainfall and snowstorms.

The high beam turns on differently on different vehicles. When a person first sits behind the wheel of a new car, he may have a lot of questions about the use of the car control functions. Especially when he is just starting to drive or is changing from behind the wheel of a domestic car behind the wheel of a foreign car. Let us first consider the process of turning on the high beam in domestic VAZ cars. First you need to turn on the low beam and side lights. The buttons are located to the left or right of the steering wheel. They are marked with special graphic symbols. First, the dimensions are turned on, and then the dipped headlights. The main beam headlights are switched on using a lever located to the right of the steering wheel. Push the lever away from you until it clicks. The main beam of the headlights is on; in this case, a blue indicator lamp on the dashboard lights up.

In foreign cars, all the necessary functions are located on one lever. For left-hand drive cars, it is on the left, and for right-hand drive cars - on the right. Dimensions and headlights are turned on by turning the tip located on the lever. To turn on the high beam, push the lever away from you. In foreign cars, the inclusion of the high beam is also accompanied by the inclusion of a blue indicator light.

And in order not to interfere with oncoming and passing traffic participants, it is necessary to turn off the main beam at least 150 m before the vehicle.
