What is the engine on the all-terrain vehicle knight. Interesting facts about the Vityaz all-terrain vehicle

Any Vityaz all-terrain vehicle should be considered a unique type of high-speed vehicles, which is characterized by:

  • caterpillar joint;
  • optimal passability parameters;
  • the ability to maneuver in particularly difficult road and climatic conditions.

Features:

In terms of design, they have significant potential for modification, which makes it possible to use them, inter alia, as a chassis when mounting technological and specific equipment. Their active use makes it possible:

  1. in the most radical way change the algorithm of work;
  2. make all models from this concern completely independent of any weather conditions;
  3. significantly reduce waste on the construction of facilities in a variety of, including inaccessible, areas.

Crawler engine performance, combined with:

  • quite real ability to overcome any water obstacles afloat;
  • the fastest possible maneuvering performance in any conditions,

make it possible to consider them truly unsurpassed snow and swamp-going devices. It is any Vityaz models that, without any reconnaissance operation and engineering equipment of the path of movement, are able to overcome significant territories that remain poorly accessible for other ground-type vehicles.

Optimum connection in one vehicle of such parameters as:

  • increased cross-country ability;
  • high maneuverability;
  • speed when moving;
  • significant power reserve;
  • the ability to lift significant loads;
  • "Ability" to swim;
  • the ability to overcome obstacles and water obstacles with a full load;
  • versatility;
  • large set of additional functions

make it possible to assert that all-terrain vehicles from OJSC MK "Vityaz" have no competitors and analogues today. In this regard, I would like to talk about one modification, which is the most famous.

DT-10P

The presented model was developed specifically for functioning in the difficult climate conditions of the Far North and East, as well as Siberia. This also applies to specific soils (swamps, snow-covered virgin lands, lack of roads, areas of intersected type with forests). This is feasible at a temperature range of OS ranging from plus 40 to minus 50 degrees.
The most effective DT-10P manifests itself in:

  • the composition of emergency and rescue teams during search operations;
  • non-standard conditions that arise during natural or environmental disasters.

You cannot do without this device in case of floods, drifts, including snow, landslides and global destruction. Because they make it possible, as soon as possible:
evacuate victims from the disaster area;
transport rescue teams with their equipment, specialists and essential products to any area.
A characteristic structural "highlight" of this model should be considered the controlled folding of the links between each other in two planes from the operator's place: longitudinal and vertical. This is done using navigation cylinders located on the swivel-coupler.
Which will function:

  • as a device for making turns, which guarantees the optimal degree of maneuverability of this model and any other from the Vityaz concern;
  • in shock absorber mode, which guarantee maximum smoothness of the ride;
  • as a blocking device in the process of overcoming obstacles.

All this makes it possible to increase the cross-country ability of all-terrain vehicles. This is especially true for overcoming obstacles, for example, ditches up to four meters wide and vertical walls up to one and a half meters.
It costs a similar, in the literal sense, a miracle of technology from four million rubles. This is a perfectly reasonable price for a truly impressive feature set.

The all-terrain vehicle of modification DT-30 "Vityaz" is a unique off-road vehicle designed for operation in off-road conditions and in severe climatic conditions (at temperatures from +40 to –50 ° C).

The design of two-link all-terrain vehicles of the DT-30 model range on a caterpillar track allows you to overcome any obstacles, carry out work on low-bearing soils in wooded areas, in swamps, virgin snow, and cross water obstacles in the most difficult road and transport conditions. This powerful and high-speed caterpillar tractor is capable of effectively performing the assigned tasks in the harsh climatic zones of Siberia, the Far North, the Far East, in the northern polar regions of the Earth (Arctic and Antarctic).

Design features

The DT-30 transporter is equipped with articulated track links, arranged according to a trailed connection scheme, which provides a high carrying capacity and vehicle capacity, its maneuverability in difficult climatic and road conditions. The design of the conveyor has an important feature: the folding of the track links in two planes (vertical and longitudinal) under the control of the driver. Folding is carried out using a swivel hitch, reinforced with additional hydraulic cylinders. The maneuverability and smoothness of the tracked tractor is increased precisely due to the hydraulic cylinders, which perform rotary functions and act as a locking device for the gearbox.

The modification of the DT-30 two-link tracked conveyor increases the cross-country ability of the machine, which in working condition is capable of overcoming vertical obstacles up to 1.5 m in height and deep ditches up to 4 m wide.

The all-terrain vehicle is produced in different configurations, with engines of domestic and foreign manufacturers. The Vityaz range of transporters is equipped with liquid-cooled diesel engines (V-shaped four-stroke). The starting system is activated by pneumatic start or from a battery with a battery voltage of 24 V. A special heating system and forced thermosyphon movement of oil and coolant allows the engine to start at an external temperature of –50 ° C.

High cross-country ability and maneuverability of the conveyor are provided by the design of the undercarriage. The machines are equipped with four wide polyurethane tracks with steel cross members. Thanks to this design, the specific pressure on the ground decreases, and the permeability of the vehicle increases.

The design of the drive wheels prevents the formation of ice on the undercarriage units during severe frosts. Tracked vehicles of the Vityaz DT-30 brand have a high operational resource, are reliable and durable. Maintenance and high-quality repairs make it possible to increase the efficiency of this irreplaceable technique.

Vityaz DT-30 vehicles meet all the requirements of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia in the field of environmental safety, which is confirmed by the relevant certificates. In terms of safety for the environment, tracked transport all-terrain vehicles and their modifications surpass all domestic and foreign analogues.

Modifications

The design of the conveyor provides ample opportunities for upgrading and improving the technical and operational characteristics of the machine. ATVs DT-30 can be used for the installation of special road construction equipment as a universal chassis. Floating models of all-terrain vehicles are designated by the letter "P" in the name of the vehicle.

Vityaz DT-30E

The non-standard Vityaz excavator is produced on the constructive basis of the DT-30P two-link conveyor by installing an additional installation - excavator equipment. This type of equipment is designed for road transport and earthmoving, transportation of goods with low soil stability. Excavator model DT-30 is equipped with three outriggers with automatic control. Hydraulic outriggers, in combination with a two-link chassis, increase the technical and operational characteristics of the vehicle: increase its cross-country ability, maneuverability, speed. In addition, the lifting capacity of the excavator increases, which makes it possible to transport equipment weighing up to 12 tons in the back. The chassis provides the ability to install additional equipment: a compressor, a welding device, a hydraulic manipulator, etc.

Excavator Vityaz DT-30PE1

Excavator non-standard "Vityaz" DT-30PE1 is used during construction and earthmoving works, used to transport goods on unstable soils (water, snow, swamp, rough terrain). The machine is distinguished by its convenient design: it has folding sides of the body of the second link, which can be easily removed. A feature of this model is the constructive combination of parts that increases the operational potential of equipment - a hydraulic manipulator, a welding unit, a pump, a compressor, etc.

The advantages of Vityaz DT-30 tracked transporters and excavators of all modifications are: high travel speed, productivity, versatility, cross-country ability and high maneuverability, reliability, durability, ease of use and maintenance.

The most suitable vehicle for use in the harsh climate conditions of Siberia and the Far North, as well as in the sands, forests and off-road of the Far East is the two-link Vityaz all-terrain vehicle. The large carrying capacity and cargo capacity of the machine is perfectly combined with high levels of maneuverability and cross-country ability in road and climatic conditions of increased complexity. In addition, it does an excellent job of being an amphibian.

The snow and swamp-going vehicle manufactured by OJSC MK “Vityaz” was created according to a unique scheme, which provides for a trailed connection of two welded sealed housings, called links.

1. The first link is a cockpit for a crew of 4-7 people, equipped with autonomous ventilation and heating systems, as well as a compartment for the engine and transmission.
2. The second body-link is multifunctional - a body with an awning, a body, a platform for mounting various equipment, etc. can be placed here.

In addition, the manufacturer has provided for the possibility of equipping the first link with a body with an awning or a platform body.

The role of the all-terrain vehicle's power unit is assigned to a V-shaped multi-fuel turbocharged diesel engine with direct fuel injection, capable of operating at ambient temperatures from + 40 ° C to -50 ° C. The engines can be started in two ways - using an electric starter or pneumatic start. The ability to start the engine at air temperatures down to -50 ° C is provided by a combined heating system, by means of forced circulation of oil and liquid. As an option, the snow and swamp vehicle can be equipped with a YaMZ-840 or Cummins diesel engine.

Basic technical characteristics of all-terrain vehicles "Vityaz"

  • curb weight - 28 tons;
  • lifting capacity - up to 30 tons;
  • the maximum possible length of the transported cargo - 6 m;
  • number of crew seats - 4-7 people;
  • engine power - 710 hp from.;
  • cruising range without refueling - 500 km;
  • maximum speed on land - 37 km / h;
  • maximum water speed - 4 km / h;

The use of a four-speed gearbox with a hydrodynamic transformer provides a smooth change in torque, taking into account the resistance to movement. A lockable differential allows you to choose the most suitable driving mode, depending on road conditions. The brake system of the conveyor is practically trouble-free due to the use of floating type belt brakes with a pneumatic drive, as well as redundant mechanical brakes of the first link. If necessary, the manufacturer installs a six-speed automatic transmission on the all-terrain vehicle.

One of the main features of the Vityaz conveyor is the remote-controlled folding of the links in two planes, which is carried out by using additional hydraulic cylinders. By the way, these pneumatic cylinders with forced locking are also used as auxiliary rotary mechanisms, which significantly increases the maneuverability of the machine. Thus, the all-terrain vehicle can easily overcome ditches up to 4 meters wide and 1.5-meter walls.

Thanks to the use of four rubber-metal caterpillar tracks, the specific pressure on the ground will significantly decrease and, accordingly, the cross-country ability of the snow and swamp vehicle increases. The independent torsion bar suspension of the padded road wheels provides a smoother ride. Rubber and polyurethane are used to cushion shocks and jerks in various elements of the chassis, which greatly increases the resource of the mechanisms.

Due to their high cross-country ability and versatility, the Vityaz all-terrain vehicles are very popular when carrying out various rescue operations in extreme conditions resulting from natural disasters. In conditions of snow drifts, floods, blockages, off-road, transporters are used to evacuate victims and deliver rescuers, food, medicine and equipment.

Vityaz range of all-terrain vehicles

Designers MK "Vityaz" on the basis of the legendary DT-10 all-terrain vehicle, originally developed for military use, today significantly expanded the model range on the basis of an articulated tracked snow and swamp-going vehicle. The line of models has more than 30 modifications. These are transport all-terrain vehicles such as the DT-7P, and the DT-30C tanker, and even the mobile residential complex DT-30PZh. I would especially like to focus on the DT-2P floating all-terrain vehicle, with a carrying capacity of up to 2 tons, which is based on a unique joint from an adult brother - the Vityaz all-terrain vehicle.

Video of the articulated all-terrain vehicle Vityaz.

Extreme conditions call into question the capabilities of even specialized equipment, not to mention conventional vehicles. However, the powerful all-terrain vehicles DT 30p Vityaz do not care about the elements. The prefix "p" means that the vehicle can float. Yes, yes, these confidently overcome water obstacles, crossed forest areas, snow and sand blockages and impenetrable swamps.

The main purpose of the DT 30P all-terrain vehicle is operation in the difficult conditions of the Far North, Siberia and the Far East. At the same time, the temperature does not matter, the transport can withstand both 50-degree frost and heat up to + 40 ° C.

Unique two-link all-terrain vehicle DT 30P

This high-speed all-terrain vehicle is a representative of the class of articulated tracked vehicles and is distinguished by unique indicators of maneuverability and cross-country ability in difficult road and climatic conditions. The use of Vityaz by emergency rescue teams turns out to be most effective during search operations during snow drifts, floods, landslides and other natural disasters. With the help of an all-terrain vehicle, rescuers manage to find and evacuate victims from the scene or deliver doctors, rescuers, food and medicine to the disaster zone.

At the same time, DT 30P often comes to the rescue in cases where there is a need to deliver various equipment (for example, firefighters) or special vehicles - excavators, cranes, tanks, etc. Also, the vehicles are actively used by military units. The permeability of transporters is so high that they are able to overcome wide ditches (up to 4 meters) and climb slopes up to 1.5 meters high.

The design of the two-link tracked vehicles DT 30P Vityaz has several features. So, the links of the connection can be folded in both planes, and this process is controlled directly from the driver's seat. For folding the links, a specially designed swivel hitch is provided, which has two additional control cylinders. They are responsible not only for the excellent maneuverability of the equipment, but also work by analogy with shock absorbers, making the movement smoother.

Technical characteristics of DT 30P Vityaz

Below we will consider the technical characteristics of the DT 30p Vityaz. The machine is equipped with a 12-cylinder multi-fuel engine with a power of 780 hp. is offered with various engines - produced by ChMZ, YaMZ or Cummins. The carrying capacity of the equipment is 30 tons, and the curb weight is 28 tons. It is noteworthy that with such a significant weight, the pressure exerted by the machine on the ground is minimal, only 0.3 kg / cm 2.

Speaking about the speed of movement of the all-terrain vehicle, it is worth noting that when moving on land, it is capable of speeds up to 47 km / h, when moving through water obstacles, the speed decreases to 4 km / h. The maximum angle when descending a slope or ascent is 30 °, the equipment can withstand a roll of up to 15 °. The cabin is designed for 5 people. The fuel supply is enough for a distance of up to 500 km.

The price of DT 30P, the video of which can be seen below, varies between 6-8 million rubles, but the all-terrain vehicle is worth it. After all, this machine, unique in its operational and technical characteristics, copes with the most difficult and seemingly impossible tasks.

The Vityaz DT-10 all-terrain vehicle is an articulated tracked vehicle designed to operate in extremely difficult climatic conditions and extreme temperatures.

Lack of special snow and swamp vehicles in Russia until the 60s
the last century held back the development of these territories and turned into a huge
material damage. She was also needed to strengthen the northern and
the Far Eastern borders of the country, primarily for the installation of the developed
missile weapons

Obviously, the task arose to create domestic
snow and swamp-going vehicles, including two-link tracked vehicles (DGM) large
carrying capacity, since single-link tracked snow and swamp vehicles were not capable of
with sufficient efficiency to transport a load of mass over hard-to-reach terrain
more than three tons. And with such a task, domestic science and production successfully
coped.

By the early 80s of the last century, a large R&D cycle to create high
unified family of two-link tracked transporters of the family
The Vityaz was completed. The development of this family is the result of creative
cooperation under the leadership of the Main Automobile Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, scientific,
design and production teams of 21 NII MO, NII engines,
VNIITransmash, Rubtsovsk Machine-Building Plant and Ishimbay Plant
transport engineering.

  • two-link tracked floating transporters DT-10P, DT-20P and DT-30P with a carrying capacity of 10, 20 and 30 tons, respectively;
  • two-link tracked non-floating transporters DT-10, DT-20 and DT-30 of the same carrying capacity.

Serial production of two-link conveyors DT-10P, DT-30P and DT-30
this family for the period from 1982 to 1986 mastered at the Ishimbay plant
transport engineering, currently OJSC MK Vityaz.

Founded in 1977, the company is currently one of the
world leaders in the production of land vehicles of high
cross-country ability intended for the carriage of goods, installation of various military
technical and technological equipment in particularly complex road and
climatic conditions.

Vityaz DT-10 can be operated in off-road conditions, on loose and unsteady soils, virgin snow, forest roads.

The all-terrain vehicle belongs to the class of crawler-mounted two-link snow and swamp vehicles. The design of the machine combines increased carrying capacity, high maneuverability and maneuverability.

All-terrain vehicles Vityaz have an original layout. Two sealed all-metal links of the machine are connected to each other in a trailed circuit. In the front hull there is an all-terrain vehicle's cockpit, designed for 4-7 people. The cab is equipped with autonomous heating and ventilation systems. The engine compartment and the cargo body covered with a canvas awning are located behind the cab.

To overcome obstacles comparable to the height of the machine itself, the all-terrain vehicle must constantly maintain excellent grip on the road surface. The ideal way to overcome such obstacles is to “run it in”.

This can be achieved in two ways - either use a wheel-walking drive, or use a flexible frame design. The use of the first method for heavy transport all-terrain vehicles is very problematic, but the second has been successfully implemented in the design of unique heavy transport two-link all-terrain vehicles of the "Vityaz" family produced by the Ishimbay plant of transport engineering.

Despite the fact that all-terrain vehicles "Vityaz" are considered two-link, it should be noted that in their design there is one more, perhaps the most important link - a swivel-coupling device, thanks to which the car gets the opportunity to move like a reptile.

The design of the PSU allows the all-terrain vehicle modules to be safely tilted relative to each other, to lift or lower the bow and stern parts, so that the vehicle is able to overcome almost any type of obstacle.

Despite the fact that according to the technical characteristics, the all-terrain vehicle can overcome ditches up to 4 meters wide, even 8-meter cracks were subdued during the Antarctic expeditions to the Vityaz!

Thus, two-link all-terrain vehicles, serially produced since 1982, in many cases successfully replace helicopters, since such obstacles are insurmountable for other modes of transport.

The second link of an all-terrain vehicle, as a rule, is performed in a variable manner, and can be both a cargo body and a platform designed for the installation of various technological equipment. If necessary, the cargo compartment on both links can be replaced by a technological platform.

Vityaz is equipped with powerful V-shaped liquid-cooled diesel power units with a direct fuel injection system. The engine is pressurized by means of a centrifugal supercharger.

In various modifications, the Vityaz DT-10 all-terrain vehicles are equipped with YMZ 840 or Cummins turbocharged engines.

The engine is started by means of an electric starter from a 24 volt battery. A pneumatic start using compressed air from cylinders is used as a backup system for starting the power unit.

To ensure uninterrupted engine start at extremely low temperatures, the all-terrain vehicle is equipped with a combined oil and fluid heating system by means of thermosyphon forced circulation.

A functional feature of the Vityaz design is the ability to fold the all-terrain vehicle links along the longitudinal and vertical planes, carried out from the driver's console. Folding is carried out due to the presence of two hydraulic control cylinders on the swivel-coupling mechanism. Hydraulic cylinders perform a versatile function, and can be used as shock absorbers, swivel mechanism and blocker when overcoming trenches and ditches. The presence of hydraulic cylinders significantly increases the driving performance of the machine, allowing it to overcome vertical obstacles up to one and a half meters high and ditches up to 4 meters wide.

The all-terrain vehicle is equipped with a hydromechanical transmission, aggregated with a hydrodynamic single-stage transformer. The transformer provides a smooth and smooth transfer of torque. A four-speed gearbox, articulated with a locking differential, ensures the selection of the optimal mode of movement of the all-terrain vehicle on all types of road surfaces.

Highly efficient power transmission is provided by two planetary final drives and one bevel gear located on each link. The braking of the all-terrain vehicle is provided by floating-type band brakes with a pneumatic drive. The backup braking system is made in the form of a mechanical drive for controlling the brakes of the front link.

The articulation of the transmission units is provided by cardan shafts with an intermediate bearing and a toothed clutch. In optional versions, Vityaz all-terrain vehicles can be equipped with an automatic six-speed hydromechanical transmission manufactured by Allison.

The undercarriage is represented by four rubber-metal active tracked contours, equipped with metal crossbars. The track design provides low ground pressure, maneuverability and high flotation. The smooth running of the machine is ensured by the independent, energy-intensive torsion bar of the sponge-filled track rollers. To damp shocks and jerks, the drive and guide wheels of the all-terrain vehicle and the chassis elements are covered with special polyurethane materials and rubber pads.

Thanks to the original design of the driving wheels, the undercarriage of the machine is protected from icing, and the optimal arrangement of the crossbars creates the effect of self-cleaning of the undercarriage elements from dirt.

Of course, with all the advantages of the design, the Vityaz all-terrain vehicles are far from ideal. Despite its unique characteristics, CSPs are too complex and vulnerable.

The mechanical transmission is also imperfect, which, ideally, should be replaced by hydraulics or power transmission. The rubber-fabric coating of the tracks perfectly withstands frosts down to -50 degrees, but at lower temperatures, problems can arise in this unit. In many respects, because of this, heavy combat or fire installations have not yet been created on the basis of the all-terrain vehicle. Nevertheless, the listed shortcomings do not give grounds to reproach this car for anything.

Unfortunately, these truly revolutionary machines are produced in extremely small quantities today. And the point here is not in the production capacity of the enterprise, but in the small number of orders due to the rather high cost of the machine. Thus, for its further development, Vityaz, which is capable of overcoming all existing obstacles, cannot overcome only one, financial obstacle.
