I had a problem with the rear window heater, when it was cleaned by the scotch, which was glued transit damaged the heating thread ...

Several threads are not racing.

For repair we will need:

1. Scotch, better narrow;
2. Scissors to cut tape;

4. Voltmeter, in my case a multimeter;

Then we begin to measure the voltages, pressing the positive probe voltmeter to the heating threads that we did not heat ... Usually, the voltmeter breaks at the break point, i.e. For example, 10 volts first, and slightly shift and immediately zero. The gap is found ... If you continue to move the dipstration, the voltage should appear again, there is a gap and ended. I only had an almost invisible gap, i.e. The thread itself is a whole, but with it "remove" the upper layer, i.e. The thread has become thinner and stopped working and visually it is a little visible, because The color on this plot was different from the rest of the length.

Glue
0. Wash the glass cleaner where we will apply the composition.
1. Cut off a certain piece of tape and glue from above and below the thread opposite the place of the gap so that the scotch came about 0.5-1 cm on the sides of the break ...
2. When all the place of gaps were stuck, we begin to breed the composition, I used the tank for a tank with an inverted cans from the sprat in tomato sauce, this is a prerequisite! :)))
3. Thoroughly moving the composition with a thin layer on the thread ... Better less than a layer in 2 mm :) I applied a piece of wooden stick, which went in the kit ... The composition is sufficiently liquid and it is best for either a brush or a cotton wand for ears. :) Now I understand it ... So it is better to use this option!
4. When everything was missed, we turn on the heating ... and awesome that everything worked ... True the threads that believe it is a little weaker ... This gives an advantage at the speed of drying up ... about 30 minutes ... finally dries after a day like ...
5. After 15-20 minutes, we begin to tear off neatly tape, it is better when the composition is not drying to the end, then the repair line remains thin and tight with the composition with the composition at the edges easily departs. I have where the composition was applied to the thick layer of Scotch not "broke" and got out of under him: ((((((((((I had to cut a little scalpel, but the thick layer is bad !!!
