I dwell on this all in detail, since the conditions largely predetermined the very possibility of buying such a car at this age, because each car has its own conditions: runs, roads, gas stations, service. It is obvious.

"Turtle" or, as it is also called, "drop" was produced from 1997 to 2004 and for almost 15 years has won the love and respect of many motorists in Russia and Belarus. On reflection, I decided that at last I had to fulfill my childhood dream. Somewhere else in 1999, my father looked after himself an A6 C5, but he never bought it. Well, as they say, I still have a sediment in my soul. I was so addicted to the so-called. butt "plum" that not one "five-year plan" saw them off with an envious glance. Everything in life has to be tried, and basically for the experiment I decided to order a car from the USA.

I decided to take it through a friend, an acquaintance, which I later regretted. It is after this person that I write down even any trifle in a bilateral agreement on paper. Phoned, I described the requirements (only dark color, only light skin, only automatic transmission, only sedan and only Quattro). As it turned out, I was able to enter the auction myself (test entry for 72 hours, then change e-mail and get “eternal” access) and looked through the description of the car and photos, I didn't even look at cars without photos. In general, for about three weeks all the options I liked went away at a price too high for me. One evening, a “friend of an acquaintance” calls me :) and quickly says, “right now, a black car has driven under the camera, is driving by itself, shall we trade?”. Well, what can I say ... now I'm an Audi fan. The car is worth the money, and I understand why. Materials, assembly, engineering - everything is amazing.

For three years of operation of a 10-year-old car, I only repaired the steering rack (the repair cost 12,000 rubles with spare parts and work, it could have been done even cheaper). A lot has been written about this car ... a lot ... but what is written there - look how many of them travel on the roads of our country (not to mention Europe)! A reliable, safe car that looks so respectable that even the decision to slightly change its design (as for me - this radiator grille is quite suitable for Q5 and even more so for Q7, but not for a passenger car ... I like the so-called “ transitional "modification, which I now own).

It may seem to some that 2.4 is a small volume for such a rather large and heavy car, but in the conditions of Moscow traffic jams, this does not play any role. Now I have 3.0 - so what ?! Where to experience the benefits of driving fast? Circle of honor along the Moscow Ring Road at night among trucks or in the morning along Sadovoye? Is that from a traffic light sometimes compete with even more respectable X5, ML or Lexus "s)))

Particularly pleased with the interior made of light leather - for 4 years of operation, there are no problems at all and dry cleaners !!!     In 1999, the first and very small restyling of the A6 C5 model took place. The updated models received a reinforced body, underwent changes in the headlights, changed the shape of the fog lights, and rear-view mirrors. The dashboard has also changed. In the same restyling, two new engines appeared with volumes of 2.7 liters (biturbo) and 4.2 liters .. Also for mono drives (not "Quattro") an automatic transmission of the variator type "Multitronic" was introduced.

    In 2001 (model year 2002), the second restyling of the model took place, which affected not only the appearance, but also the suspension settings, and the engine line. The headlights, depending on the choice of configuration, could now be both xenon and bi-xenon, the taillights were changed, the bumper shape was changed, the right rear-view mirror was brought to normal size, the chrome body parts were replaced with matte aluminum ones. The instrument panel now had a brushed aluminum edging. The climate system has learned to automatically recirculate air depending on its purity.     But it is worth noting that, despite the considerable age and mileage of the paintwork of this car, which did not get into an accident, it is still holding up quite well. It is only on the very first models that paint swelling can be found on wheel arches, near door hinges and in some other places. Such durability of the paintwork is achieved thanks to the technology of galvanizing the body from Audi.

    Salon A6 is solid, sound insulation is at a sufficient level and without "crickets".
