Granta is the first car with smoother design features produced by AvtoVAZ. The model was developed on the basis of Lada Kalina and received the number VAZ-2190 (sedan body). In 2014, the serial production of the Granta liftback began (it received the number VAZ-2191). Chassis, ground clearance

Priora's ground clearance is 165 mm in the pre-styled version and 170 mm in the restyled version. The suspension is extremely simple: the front suspension is independent spring, the rear is semi-independent spring. There are ventilated disc brakes in the front, drum brakes in the back.

Grants in the back of the liftback had a clearance of 160 mm in the pre-styling version and 190 mm in the restyled version. Grants have a front suspension - an independent spring produced by McPherson, the rear - a semi-independent spring. New supports of the front struts were installed, the longitudinal stabilizer was enlarged and the anti-roll bar was improved. The front brakes are ventilated discs, the rear ones are drum brakes.

Both front-wheel drive cars are urban, and in terms of cross-country ability in the countryside, Lada Priora is still inferior to the restyled Grant liftback. Thanks to the improved suspension and higher ground clearance, the restyled Grant passes bumps and pits better than the dorestyled version.
