In the conditions of severe winters and ice, driving on such wheels is unsafe, and the risk of getting into an accident increases.
With the advent of wheel tires, cars were able to confidently move on the road surface. If these useful and practical products were absent to this day, then the movement would be characterized by a slow and noisy process, like prehistoric carts, winter tires are especially needed at a certain period.
A modern pneumatic tire has the following features:
- allows to ensure the stability of the vehicle and its handling in various driving modes;
- makes it possible to reduce the negative impact of hard road surface on the nodes and components of the suspension and body;
- helps to increase the level of comfort.
Currently, these conditions are met by radial tires, which provide:
- a very long period of confident operation;
- enviable stability of the car on the roadway;
- promoting fuel economy.
The positive aspects of radial tires are achieved by the presence of metal cords and / or their textile counterparts in the construction. These elements are located inside the rubber shell of the tire for Lada Largus between the beads and are oriented radially at right angles to the rim.
Such a structure of the tire allows it not to experience premature overheating and to steadfastly perceive the impact of heavy loads.
Today on the market there is a great variety of tires for the Lada Largus car, the functional purpose of which is very diverse, including winter tires. The applicability and other characteristics of an individual tire for Lada Largus are indicated by a special marking on the side of the product.
Standard tire parameters
The size of the tires and wheel disks can have a significant impact on the behavior of a car in motion. The popular universal model of domestic origin Lada Largus, as well as its off-road variation "Cross", was no exception in this matter. Today these modifications are products of the Russian giant AvtoVAZ.
To complete the Largus, the manufacturer uses tires manufactured by Amtel Planet DC. It is a domestic firm owned by the Amtel-Vredestein N.V. corporation.
The wheels, which are stamped versions of the products, for Largus are kindly provided by the Italian manufacturer Magnetto Wheeles.
Important! For the Largus Cross variant, the manufacturer uses Continental Premium Contact tires, which are made by the legendary Continental A.G. brand.
The factory manual contains information regarding tire dimensions that are structurally suitable for a particular car model. Here Largus is an exception, since the manufacturer in the accompanying documentation indicated only the only option for the size of the rubber, and discs like them.
So, we give the parameters of the indicated disks:
- product width indicator - "6J";
- hub bolt pattern - "4x100";
- sidewall overhang - "ET50".
The only option for the tire dimensions, which the manufacturer recommends to equip various modifications of LADA Largus, is only "185 * 65 * R15". This dimension also appears in the documentation attached to the related model Dacia Logan MCV (2006).
Other sizes
Some desperate owners seek to experiment in this area and install tires with different characteristics on their station wagons. Often people are prompted to such an action by the desire to distinguish their "horse" from the gray mass of the same type of car.
The most popular "experimental" size is 195x65xR15. Much less often, owners install tires endowed with the dimension "195x60xR15" or "205x60xR15". Note that the space present inside the body arches allows the use of tires with other sizes:
- for disks "R16": "195x55xR16", "195x60xR16" and "205x55xR16";
- applicable to disks "R17": "205x45xR17", "205x50xR17" and "225x45xR17";
- with disks "R18": "215x35xR18" and "215x40xR18".
Installing large specimens should be approached with extreme caution. Such "rollers" can lead to an unpredictable change in the behavior of a car on the road. This is especially clear in unfavorable weather.

It should not be disregarded the fact that the increased size of discs with tires can cause incorrect operation of the following systems responsible for active safety:
- "ABS" - a system to prevent blocking of brake mechanisms;
- "ESP" - an option responsible for directional stability.
Off-road version
In this modification, the Lada Largus station wagon is equipped with tires, the dimensions of which are "205x55xR16". They are "put on" discs with the following parameters:
- width - "6J";
- hub bolt pattern - "4x100";
- departure - "ET50";
- centering hole - "D1A60.1.".
