Modern technologies make it possible to create unique materials with predetermined properties. These include athermal films, which work as a filter for the invisible range of light waves. Types of films
All known types of films can be divided into four main groups:

In metallized materials, some of the polyester layers have the thinnest coating, which is usually made of aluminum. Such material reflects infrared radiation much better than painted films, which means it better protects the car interior from heating.
In spatter film, the desired color of the product is obtained by using ion-exchange coated layers. Technologically, this is the most difficult and expensive manufacturing method. This method allows you to make a perfectly even coating from almost any substance. The materials made in this way have high wear resistance and practically do not fade. Spatter-metallized films are a combination of the three previous technologies.
Athermal films produced by various manufacturers differ both in manufacturing technology and in consumer properties. Therefore, when purchasing and installing, special attention should be paid to the following indicators:
- ability to transmit light;
- product color;
- installation method on glass;
- operational resource.
Depending on the glass on which the film will be installed, its throughput may be different: the most transparent ones are installed on the windshield of the car, and the most darkened ones - on the rear.

Therefore, if you take a film that transmits 80% of the light and put it on such glass, then the total result will be determined as the product of the transmission coefficients: 0.8 x 0.9 \u003d 0.72, i.e. 72%. Formally, this figure is less than the permissible, therefore, such a toning of the car will be considered a violation of traffic rules.
Therefore, the film should be installed taking into account the available glass throughput, which is better to be measured in advance. Often a car can have its original factory tinting, which will also affect the overall result.
It should be noted that such small deviations cannot be noticed by eye, but the device picks up easily. Of course, it is unlikely that a traffic police officer will stop cars with externally transparent glasses to check their throughput. But why violate GOST if it is easy to do without it? For side windows, the requirements are less stringent. For them, a bandwidth of 70% is allowed, therefore it is fashionable to put a darker film on them. All other things being equal, it will let in even less heat, which means it will become more comfortable in the cabin. It is very unpleasant to get into a vehicle that has stood for several hours in the sun. The feeling of this is comparable to trying to settle down on a hot frying pan.
