With my own eyes: how the Renault Moscow plant is preparing for the production of a new crossover. Country of origin Renault and the main brand models in Russia Impeccable quality of domestic Renault

We will consider in detail in which countries which Renault brands are produced. You will know for sure not only the range of Renault models, but also the manufacturers. For example, we will dwell in detail on the question of who produces Renault Logan, we will devote more time to the Renault Stepway model, which has been growing in popularity lately.

Have you noticed that Renault Logan is very widespread in our country? They still flicker on the roads of the country. We have become so accustomed to them that our favorite cars have become like family for us. It's funny, but some women even confuse Logan with Lada Granta. There really is a similarity. And many car owners, as well as those who are just looking at the models and want to choose something most suitable, are interested in the question: who makes Renault Logan? We'll find out now!

First, let's talk a little about the model. This car make belongs to the class "B", it is budget car... They note that the largest French concern was developing a brand of car just for further export to third world countries. Of course, this does not mean low quality. It's just that in the production process, special platforms were used to achieve a balance of a good level of reliability with a democratic cost. That is why most people can quite afford to purchase such a Renault model.

Whose production is Renault Logan? Home base concentrated in Romania. This is where Dacia, a subsidiary, is located. Many years ago, starting in 1999, it became part of Renault.

It is curious that in different countries the names of the cars differ

  • In the Russian market, as well as in the neighboring countries, the car is known as Renault Logan.
  • In Latin America, in Mexico, the car is known as the Nissan Aprio.
  • In India, the car is called Mahindra Verito.
  • In Morocco, as well as in European countries, the car is known as the Dacia Logan.
  • In the Middle East, the model is called Renault Tondar.

In 1998, the key technical development of the model started. The specialists tried to find the optimal solution for the development family brand car, not only compact, but also budgetary, as affordable as possible. At the same time, the affordable model had to remain reliable, safe, maintain functionality and maintain the prestige of the world's largest automotive concern. Samples were not created, limited to computer simulations. 2004 was the date of birth of the new Renault. It was then that the public was introduced to the car, which became extremely popular. This is a four-door sedan. For the first time in Romania, serial production was opened.

A little time passed, but it immediately became obvious: the Logan car is becoming the most popular brand in Russia. This is easy to explain, since the model was specially created taking into account the difficult conditions for russian roads... And the sedan coped with the task perfectly! He satisfied the drivers with his technical characteristics, endurance, good cross-country ability, undercarriage resistance to wear. The design turned out to be functional, and the cost, with all its advantages, was pleasing with democracy.

Now Logan is the favorite foreign car in Russia. And a lot of parts and assemblies are produced in Russia! So Renault is already in many ways “ours”, dear. On russian factories you can find batteries with discs, optics with exhaust systems, dashboards with tires, bumpers with seats for Renault Logan.

Renault is getting closer!

2005 was a landmark year for the "acquaintance" of the domestic auto industry and Renault. Renault plant in Moscow was officially opened. It was placed, making the base the enterprise "Avtoframos". Then a series of modernizations followed in 2010 and 2012. All this made it possible to develop the plant so much that it began to produce more than 180 thousand cars per year.

Now the company produces not only Logan, but also Duster, Sandero, as well as Latitude and Fluence. The staff began to work at the world level of professionalism, and high-tech equipment appeared.

Wide range of models. Motherland is one - there are many "addresses"!

Let's talk more about Renault? What models is this concern ready to offer on the world market? We see that a successful project, opened back in 1899 in France, was gradually turning into a chic business that glorified the founding brothers all over the world. At the moment, the popularity and profitability of the concern are only steadily increasing. Renault became a partner of Nissan. The two companies are merged into the largest holding. Now it is difficult to immediately answer which country produces Renault, because cars of this brand are successfully and massively assembled on different continents, in different countries... To tell where the car is from, you need to know the specific model.

Now Renault has also become the most influential partner of AvtoVAZ. After all, it is Renault that now owns a quarter of the shares of the largest domestic car manufacturer.

Experts have identified several factories that produce Renault in different parts of the world.

  1. AvtoVAZ produces cars for Russian consumers.
  2. The European market is mainly supplied with cars from the Romanian plant. In Russia, there are also Romanian-assembled cars.
  3. Cars from the Brazilian plant no longer reach Russian motorists.
  4. There is another domestic plant located near Moscow. A huge amount of Renault is produced here for Russia.
  5. Renault cars come to Africa, Asia, India from a large Indian automobile plant.

It is obvious that Renault is already so widespread in the world that cars are produced in different countries. The place of assembly of a particular brand depends on the roads on which it is currently rolling.

Renault models: who has which address?

Now we will consider in detail: in which countries Renault is produced, depending on the specific model. Let's start with Logan.

Renault Logan

We have already spoken about Logan. We emphasize again: the maximum availability, democracy and widespread prevalence of this particular model in our country is due to the place of production. In Russia, a full cycle Logan is being assembled. This is what allows us to maintain a modest cost of cars with consistently high quality. These models are produced at once from two largest factories in the country: from Auto VAZ and Renault-Russia, which is located near Moscow.

The question may arise which country produces Renault of a higher quality level. It is worth noting that Russian cars are reliable. The assembly is deep, high-tech equipment is used. Welding, assembly itself, painting is carried out in Russia, in full compliance with all technological conditions and requirements.

Renault Duster

Duster also became a favorite of the Russians. No wonder! After all, it is this crossover is the most affordable, inexpensive and at the same time reliable among all on the market. We do not consider Chinese cars, russian production... Here we are talking about foreign cars of a decent quality level. Renault Duster won the trust of consumers, the love of car owners around the world. What is the manufacturing country of Renault Duster? The assembly of this model is carried out in India, Brazil and other countries.

Russia also produces Duster. The conveyor works actively, producing more than 150 thousand machines of this model in one year. Thus, the high consumer demand for Renault Duster is almost completely covered.

Renault Sandero

Renault Sandero is also in good demand. He was recognized in our country in 2009, when the sales of the model started. Do you want to find out whose production is Renault, which country is producing Sandero? It turns out that domestic-assembled machines immediately began to be sold. Near Moscow, an almost complete production cycle of Sandero is being established.

Renault fluence

Graceful, stylish, sophisticated - Renault fluence... It was this brand that became the youngest among the famous cars of the Renault family. The magnificent Fluence was born in 2009, instantly making a splash in the market. True, the Russians were lucky to recognize this car a year later, after the start of production of Renault Fluence at a domestic plant. It was also possible to buy a car of this brand, which came to us from Turkey, where they are also assembled. In 2013, when the restyling had already been carried out, this model began to be imported from South Korea, where the Renault plant also operates.

Renault Megane

It's time to find out in which country Renault Megan is produced. This is our good old friend... Its motorists know the longest, because it was this model that introduced many to Renault. Megan became popular " iron horse"Back in 1996. Many years have passed, during which new models were released, and the beloved Megan has gone through several restyling. Let's find out the details!

Renault Megane extremely pleased with our first generation. They were true "French". The cars were produced by an auto plant located in the northern part of France. There was also an additional release in Spain.

The second generation Renault Megane cars have already appeared simultaneously in three manufacturing countries. The assembly was established in France, where Megan was a hatchback. Sedans came from Turkey, and station wagons were produced by a Spanish plant. When Megan underwent restyling, cars began to be massively produced in Turkey, from where they arrived in Russia. Then cars began to be assembled in our country.

Renault Sandero Stepway

Very popular Renault Stepway in our country. The crossover looks impressive, pleases with a comfortable roomy interior, catchy design, remains reliable and safe. Whose country is Renault Stepway manufacturer? Since 2010, this model has been produced in Russia. This made it possible to bring Renault Stepway to the CIS market, to make it as affordable as possible, since its own production ensures cost reduction, and ultimately - a more democratic cost.

At the moment, the plant is equipped with innovative robots for the production of cars, a long conveyor line, and modern German technology. Since the equipment is efficient, the plant can produce 15 bodies in one hour.

In 2013, the model was transformed, having gone through a restyling. The manufacturers decided to slightly change the appearance, making the famous car modern, stylish and elegant. Chrome details have been added to give the look a catchy look and make it more memorable. Installed headlights of a different shape, a different grille. The dimensions of the model are preserved. Renault Stepway is purchased in the domestic market in different color solutions... Machines of the shade “ blue mineral", As well as" red bullfighter "and" gray platinum ". The salon attracts with its spaciousness, comfort, good climate system and materials of impeccable quality. Many people like the luggage compartment, which can be easily transformed. It almost quadruples if you just fold the back of the seat.

Impeccable quality of domestic Renault

Let us briefly dwell on the quality guarantees for the domestic assembly of Renault, using the Stepway release as an example. There is no total robotization at the plant, which is just good. Professional craftsmen strictly control the quality level, manually apply welding points using special pliers. In total, about 4 thousand such points are applied. Through automatic system the sidewalls, the roof with the floor are fixed. Numerous body elements are produced from flawlessly galvanized parts. The rest of the parts are made of high strength steel. At the same time, inspectors strictly monitor the assembly at all stages. Experts confirm that domestic crossover in no way will be inferior to his "brother" from France, the homeland of the world's greatest concern.

Renault's history begins on December 24, 1898, when Louis Renault accepted the challenge to drive his A-Class Voiturette up the steep rue Roux Lepic in Montmartre, Paris. Thanks to this arrival, he received an order for his first 12 "cars".

Louis Renault was born into a family of typical Parisian bourgeois in February 1877. He was the youngest child in the family, besides him, two brothers and two sisters were growing up in the house. Louis's father, Alfred, was a successful businessman, and Louise's mother was the daughter of wealthy shopkeepers. All this allowed Louis to spend his childhood without worries and in abundance. From an early age, Louis showed interest in all kinds of mechanical objects and devices. He spends most of his time in a barn at home in Bilancourt, near Paris, owned by the Renault family. Louis's studies did not attract, however, one way or another, he was more than satisfied with his bachelor's degree. At the age of 20, Renault is literally breaking into the emerging automotive world. He rebuilt his three-wheeled De Dion-Bouton into a small four-wheeled car, to which he added one of his inventions, namely the gearbox, which instantly devalued.

The machine known as "Model A" with a 1.75 HP De Dion engine. on a tubular frame turned out to be very successful, and Louis, together with his older brothers, organized the Renault Freres company.

Since 1900, the company has switched to the production of large and powerful machines. These are the AG-1 models with elegant and comfortable various bodies “capuchin”, “double-phaeton”, “landau”, closed limousines, which were rare at that time. 179 cars were produced.

In 1901 Renault expands the lineupmastering models D and E, concludes an international licensed contract with an assembly plant in Belgium.

1902 - for the first time a 3750 cc engine with 4 cylinders, 20-30 hp is built. to participate in the Paris-Vienna auto race, in which Renault emerged victorious. Renault receives a patent for the development of a supercharger system.

1904 Renault develops its sales network of 120 dealers in France and abroad. Production reaches 948 vehicle.

Renault Taxi La Mame, as the name suggests, was intended for use as a taxi.

In 1905, the Renault Brothers was one of the first to produce taxi cars with a Landaulet body. These cars, nicknamed "Browning" because of their black color and their shape, became famous during the First World War, when 600 Parisian Renault taxis were mobilized in the shortest possible time to transfer 5 thousand soldiers to the Marne River. By the name of the famous battle, taxis were named "Marnese". There is even a monument to this car. For the needs of the French army, the company also supplied other equipment: ships, aircraft engines (the first aircraft engine was assembled in 1908). Louis Renault even designed tanks that were quite successful for that time.

In 1906, the company presented its first bus at the Berlin Motor Show.

The Renault Brothers actively cooperated with Russia in the pre-war years. For the Emperor, a limousine-landaulet car was created on the Renault chassis. For the heir to the throne, a Renault-Bebe was purchased, a light car, extremely easy to drive and operate.

They were equipped with hydraulic brakes and hydraulic shock absorbers. The model was produced until 1949, and its versions until 1959.

By 1949, the reconstruction of the factories was completed, and by 1954, 500 thousand 4CVs were produced.

The history of the French company Renault began in 1899, when three brothers decided to open their own workshop. Decades later, the business began to gain serious momentum, and, at the moment, the company ranks fourth in the ranking of the largest automakers. The main reason for this success is close cooperation with the Japanese concern Nissan, and, as a result, the creation of the Renault-Nissan holding.

Today, Renault cars are assembled at factories that are located in many countries of the world.

On the territory of Russia, there are also several branches that produce French cars. Therefore, it is not surprising that the concern has gained great popularity in our country.

A subsidiary company Renault-Russia, which has been successfully operating since 1998, and, until recently, was referred to as Avtoframos, is responsible for assembling cars in Russia.

Renault-Russia also includes a large enterprise that makes cars directly for Russia. Several models of French cars are produced here at once, which are in greatest demand on the domestic market.

Renault is also assembled at the AvtoVAZ car plant, only 25% of the total production is produced here.

Photo: Renault assembly in Russia

The largest factories where Renault cars are produced are:

  • a Romanian branch, at the facilities of which cars for the local and European markets are assembled. Quite often, Romanian "French" can be seen on Russian roads;
  • domestic AvtoVAZ and Avtoframos, thanks to which Russia is considered a major manufacturing country. The products of these enterprises are supplied to the local market and to the CIS countries;
  • a Brazilian car factory that assembles products for the Latin American market;
  • an Indian car factory that assembles Renault cars for the local market, as well as other countries in Asia and Africa.

Nobody is surprised by the fact that Renault Logan is the most popular French car in Russia. The whole secret of success is that domestic motorists can get a wonderful, high-quality car for little money.

The low cost of the model is explained by the fact that Logan is produced at two Russian factories, where they use a full-cycle assembly method.

If we touch upon the issue of build quality, it is very difficult to compare two domestic enterprises, because AvtoVAZ produces the 2014 model, and Avtoframos produces the latest Logan modification.

Be that as it may, the products of both factories have quite similar disadvantages: insufficient welding density of body parts and a low level of noise insulation.
