Many manufacturers install this resistor as a fuse, and when overheated, it often burns out, protecting the winding from short circuits. It is enough to replace the thermistor (in extreme cases, short-circuit with a jumper), and the magnet will work again.
Final step - gap adjustment
After any manipulation of the clutch, it is imperative to correctly set the gap between the pulley and the pressure plate. In most compressor models, this gap should be between 0.3-0.5 mm. If it is smaller, the pulley will catch on the plate while rotating. If there is more, the platinum will not press tightly and will begin to slip. In both cases, this will lead to overheating of the plate and may even damage the compressor.
