Signaling Mongoose AMG 770 is designed to guard the doors of the car, its hood and trunk, the space inside the passenger compartment and the space in the immediate vicinity of your car. The car alarm uses a volume sensor with two zones of cantrol, for more information about control sensors, see the glossary of terms used in the description of car alarms. In addition, Mongoose AMG 770 prevents unauthorized engine starting, that is, it is equipped with an immobilizer.

The above functions can be implemented to a greater or lesser extent depending on the connected standard or additional security equipment.

To prevent unauthorized access to the system, the protection of the radio command code based on KeeLoq coding technology is provided. This technology successfully resists attempts to intercept car alarm codes using a code grabber. Also, this Mongoose alarm model is equipped with a built-in anti-scan function, which prohibits turning off the alarm by simply selecting random codes and a state memory function that does not allow disarming the armed alarm simply by removing and putting on the car battery terminal, since in this case the alarm will turn on and the engine will remain blocked.

Interruption and restoration of power supply when the protection is disabled will not trigger the alarm. This function is especially useful, for example, when repairing a car.

If the power was turned off when the alarm was in Valet mode (service mode, which can be found in the glossary of terms section), then its subsequent supply will return the alarm to the same state.

In order to avoid locking the keys inside the car, when the power is restored from the car battery, the state of the door locks does not change - a very useful function.

False alarms will be avoided by the function of bypassing the faulty zone, which will disable the faulty alarm sensor until the end of the arming cycle, if it triggers the alarm 10 times.

All other monitored zones and interlocks will remain enabled.

The programmable function of accounting for the delay of the interior light makes it possible to use the AMG 770 on all types of cars (this function is especially useful for cars manufactured before 1989).

Remote control alarm key fob.

The transmitter is a miniature radio transmitter powered by a standard 12 volt 23 A battery. The battery lasts for approximately one year of operation. The PIN code can be one or two digits and can have a value from 1 to 9 or 11 to 99 depending on the software setting. When the system is manufactured, a code equal to 1 is written into it, however, we recommend that after installing the system, set a different value for the PIN code (how to do this, read in the "Programming" section). Emergency shutdown of the alarm.

If the alarm key fob is missing or defective to disarm the system, you need to: open the door with the key, this will activate the alarm mode, get into the car, turn on the ignition and leave it in the on position.

TERMS OF USE

Management of the main modes of protection

Arming.

To arm the alarm, press button 1 of the key fob with the ignition off, if all the doors, hood and trunk are closed, the siren will sound one beep and the lights will flash once. The system LED will start blinking slowly and the door locks will close (if the vehicle is equipped with locking actuators). If any of the doors, hood or trunk are not closed, three additional beeps will follow and the lights will flash three times.

Security.

In the security mode, the alarm monitors the state of all available limit switches for doors, hood, trunk, ignition on and the state of the shock sensor, as well as, if additionally installed, the volume sensor, etc. In addition, the engine start is blocked in the security mode. If any of the armed zones is violated, a 30 second alarm mode is activated.

Anxiety.

If the alarm mode is activated, the siren will sound, and the signal lights will flash for 30 seconds or until they are turned off by button 1 of the key fob.

When the warning zone of the shock sensor or the external zone of the additional sensor is triggered, a short siren trill will sound.

Disarming.

To disarm the alarm, press the button 1 of the key fob, the siren will sound 3 beeps, and the signal lights will flash twice. The LED will go off, the door locks will open (if the car is equipped with locking drives). If the alarm mode was activated during the security period, then four additional sound signals will follow when disarming.

Panic.

If, with the ignition off, press and hold for 3 seconds. button 1 will turn on the siren and warning lights. Pressing button 1 again turns off the mode. Enabling and disabling Panic does not change the state of the system, that is, it will remain armed, if it was in this mode, the doors will remain locked, if the system was disarmed and the door locks are open, arming and locking the doors will not occur ...

Silent arming and silent disarming.

When it is necessary to arm or disarm the alarm without sound confirmation, so as not to disturb others with the sounds of a siren, press button 2. Execution of commands in this case will be confirmed only by light signals. The rest of the modes are completely similar to arming and disarming with sound confirmation. When silently arming, the audible warning about unclosed doors, hood and trunk remains, so there is no danger that you will leave your car unlocked.

Arming with disabled sensors.

If, when arming, it becomes necessary to disable the interior sensors, for example, when it is necessary to leave passengers or animals in the vehicle, press button 3.

To arm with disabled sensors without sound confirmation, press button 4.

Security with a running engine.

In order to arm the car with the engine running (for example, when warming up), before pressing button 1, press the button 3 of the key fob, then the security mode with disabled sensors is activated, and the engine blocking will not be enabled. To turn off the security, press either the same combination of buttons or button 1 or 2. In addition, if the security has not been disarmed within 10 minutes or the ignition has been turned off, the engine blocking and full security mode are automatically turned on, but without relocking the doors.

NOTE: To avoid erroneous activation of the mode while the vehicle is in motion, its activation is allowed by the system only within 10 seconds after opening and closing the door with the ignition on, after these 10 seconds, the system will not enable the mode.

Using additional security functions

Automatic re-positioning (protection against accidental pressing).

If within 30 sec. after disarming, none of the doors, hood or trunk was opened, and the ignition was not turned on, the system will automatically return to the armed mode.

Two-step disarming.

If the alarm is triggered, then by pressing button 1 once, you only turn off the siren and warning lights (if the cause of the alarm has been eliminated, i.e., for example, an open door is closed or the shock sensor has stopped working). If the cause that caused the alarm persists, a second press of the button is required to turn it off. To completely disarm the system, press the button again after turning off the alarm.

Auto-arming.

The function can be enabled or disabled by programming.

If the function is enabled, after turning off the ignition, opening and closing the door, the warning lights will flash twice, the LED will flash quickly. If within 30 seconds after that all doors, as well as the hood and trunk remain closed, the alarm will arm without locking the doors.

Automatic door locking when the ignition is turned on.

5 seconds after turning on the ignition, they are automatically locked electric locks doors, the locks are immediately unlocked when the ignition is turned off. If during these 5 seconds any of the doors is open, then automatic locking will not occur to avoid locking the keys inside the car. The function can be disabled during installation.

Remote control of the central lock.

When the ignition is on, the car door locks can be locked or opened at any time by pressing buttons 1 or 2 on the key fob, respectively.

Passive immobilizer mode.

The mode is switched on and off by programming.

If the mode is enabled by software, then 1 minute after opening the door with the ignition off, the engine blocking will turn on. In this case, no other armed zones will be activated, the door locks will not be locked.

When the ignition is turned on within a minute after opening the door, the activation of the mode is canceled until the moment when the door is opened again with the ignition off.

The immobilizer mode will also automatically turn on if, after turning off the ignition, all doors remain closed for 10 minutes.

To turn off the immobilizer, press one of the four buttons of the key fob with the ignition on. Which one is chosen by programming. Factory setting is button 1.

If for some reason you cannot use the key fob to turn off the immobilizer, enter the PIN code, as in the case of an emergency shutdown.

If, when trying to disable the immobilizer, the wrong button is pressed, which is programmed to disable it, the alarm will immediately turn on, which can be disabled in the following ways:

  1. Press the desired key fob button.
  2. Enter PIN code.
  3. Turn off the ignition, arm and disarm the alarm.
    In the first and second cases, the alarm and engine blocking will be disabled simultaneously. In the third case, the alarm will turn off, but the engine will be blocked until the desired button or entering the correct PIN code.

Having turned on the immobilizer mode programmatically, remember that:

  • when the ignition is on and the immobilizer is armed, the system will not execute any remote control commands until the immobilizer is disarmed;
  • if the immobilizer mode was already activated when the alarm was armed, then after disarming the engine blocking will remain, to disable it, press the key fob button that disables the immobilizer, or enter the PIN code.
Anti-Hi-Jack. Protection against robbery.

Your security system is equipped with a special anti-hijacking function Anti Hi-jack, which will be automatically activated when the ignition is turned on, as well as if any door is opened with the ignition on. Both modes can be switched on and off by programming independently of each other.

If the function is programmatically enabled and you are required to give the keys and leave the car, just follow the requirements of the burglars, Anti Hi-jack will trigger the alarm itself and make the burglars stop.

In order for the activation of Anti Hi-jack not to interfere with the movement of the car and you had the opportunity to safely turn it off, as well as not to create a dangerous situation on the road, regardless of the method of activation, the anti-theft procedure goes through the following stages until the moment the full alarms and engine blocking:

  1. 30 second pause to enter the shutdown code after turning on the ignition or opening the door with the ignition on. The system LED flashes slowly to remind you to enter a disable code.
  2. Warning mode. If you have not entered the disabling code during a 30 second pause, within the next 30 seconds the system will remind you of this by means of short beeps and flashing of the warning lights, the LED will blink rapidly.
  3. Alarm mode. At the end of stages 1 and 2, if the shutdown code has not been entered, the system goes into alarm mode: a full sound and light signaling... When turned on programmatically blocking mode with fault simulation, it will turn on when the alarm is triggered. In this case, the engine blocking will be carried out as follows: 1 second - blocking \u003d\u003e 5 seconds - pause \u003d\u003e 1 second - blocking \u003d\u003e 3 seconds - pause \u003d\u003e 1 second - blocking \u003d\u003e 2 seconds pause \u003d\u003e 1 second - blocking \u003d\u003e 2 seconds - pause, etc. The last cycle will be repeated until the ignition is turned off, after which the engine will be completely blocked and it will not be possible to start it until the Anti Hi-jack is completely turned off. If simulated malfunction lock is disabled by software, the engine will be locked immediately after the ignition is turned off. The alarm mode continues until the ignition is turned off and remains in the off position for 60 seconds. The entry of the trip code in alarm mode is blocked. If an incorrect code was entered twice during 1 or 2 stages, the system immediately goes into alarm mode, without waiting for the end of the stage. At the end of the alarm mode, the system goes into blocking mode.
  4. Lock mode: 3 minutes. In this mode, the sound signaling is disabled, however, the light signaling and blockings are preserved, the entry of the disconnecting code is blocked, the LED is off. After 3 minutes, the light signaling turns off, but all locks remain, the system goes into code standby mode.
  5. Code standby mode. The duration of the mode is 30 seconds. Turn on the ignition, the LED will start blinking with double flashes, enter the code. If the code is not entered within 30 seconds or is entered incorrectly, the system returns to alarm mode 3 and the whole cycle repeats.
Disabling Anti-Hi-Jack:
  1. During 30 second pause 1, as well as during warning mode 2, Anti-Hi-Jack can be disabled by entering the least significant bit of the emergency shutdown code. To do this, you can use a key fob or an emergency shutdown button. When using a key fob, you must:
    • with the ignition on (the system LED blinks slowly with single flashes), press and hold button 3 of the remote control for three seconds;

  • If, for any reason, it is not possible to use the key fob, you can enter the trip code using the emergency shutdown button using the standard procedure.
  • If you additionally installed the Mongoose Communicator module and programmatically enabled the anti-hijack card function, Anti-HI-Jack activation will be prohibited if the card is inside the car within 2 minutes after turning on the ignition or opening the door with the ignition on. If you need to turn off the ignition before the expiration of these 2 minutes, then first turn off the Anti-Hi-Jack with the emergency shutdown button the lowest digit of your PIN-code.

    In order for Anti-Hi-Jack activation to become possible, in addition to the software activation of the function, it is necessary to set a two-digit emergency shutdown code for the system.

    If you use Anti-Hi-Jack and passive immobilizer mode at the same time, then after turning on the ignition, you must first turn off the immobilizer, and then enter the code to disable Anti-Hi-Jack.

    ATTENTION! If the Anti-Hi-Jack procedure is activated, the execution of any remote control commands by the system, except for entering the personal disable code and the command to disable the passive immobilizer, is blocked.

    Anti-Hi-Jack Temporary Disable Modes

    1. If after disabling the anti-theft procedure by entering the emergency shutdown code (full or low level) none of the car doors opened, the ignition can be turned on and off an unlimited number of times, Anti-Hi-Jack will not be activated. When the door is opened for the first time, the mode is disabled.

    If the car has a cabin light delay function, and the cabin light delay metering mode is programmatically enabled, the door limit switches will be armed only after the light in the cabin goes out. There is no notification about not closed doors when arming in this mode.

    Vehicle search.

    If during the period when the alarm is armed or is in Valet-mode for 3 seconds. press button 2, the siren will beep once, and the lights will flash six times, indicating the place of the car in the parking lot.

    Valet mode.

    In this mode, all security functions of the system are disabled. You can turn it on, for example, when you give the car to the service, and then you do not have to leave your alarm key fob there.     To enable the mode, it is necessary with the protection disabled and the ignition on for 3 seconds. press button 4 of the key fob, the signal lights will blink three times, the system LED will light up continuously.     Keyfob programming.

    Function programming.
