Concern "Kalashnikov" is working on special versions of motorcycles "Izh", a source in the military-industrial industry told RBC. This was confirmed to RBC by the director of external communications of the concern, Sofia Ivanova. “The work is being carried out in the interests of power structures,” she said. The models will be presented at the international military-technical forum Army-2017, which will be held from 22 to 27 August in the Patriot park near Moscow, added Ivanova, refusing to disclose other details.

RBC's source in the concern said that there should be three models. “They will be without strollers with compartments for machine guns and other things. Judging by the mock-ups that I have seen, they will look like mountain bikes, ”the source said, noting that outwardly the cars are similar to the Japanese mountain Kawasaki. The source also noted that the bikes will be different in cross-country ability, one of them is "more raised, others - lower."

Most likely, it will be a Russian-Chinese development, said experts interviewed by RBC.

Judging by the photo at the disposal of RBC, this is an enduro motorcycle [a motorcycle for special competitions on rough terrain], said the owner of the AVT-service motorcycle service Alexei Trepykhalin. “I doubt that Izhmash developed it myself. Most likely, the engine will be Chinese, the rest will be Russian. Easier to place an order lifan companies and Stels to make everything three times cheaper, ”Trepykhalin believes. In his opinion, such a motorcycle will cost a maximum of 150 thousand rubles.

The publisher of the Moto magazine Roman Sitnikov also believes that the new motorcycles for the security forces are likely to be Russian-Chinese. “As far as I understand, the Kalashnikov concern is only concerned with revision. Most the best option - take as a basis some of the average Chinese. I assume it will be Lifan, ”Sitnikov said.

Latest development of this kind, which was carried out in Russia for military purposes, was the Ural motorcycle. It is produced at the Irbit Motorcycle Plant. "Ural" is a further development of the M-72 motorcycle (Soviet copy german BMW R71). Its "military versions" are "Ura l" IMZ-8.1037 Gear-UP and "Ural" IMZ-8.1037 Gear-UP-ATGM. Both motorcycles are equipped with a sidecar, the latter being the carrier of the Konkurs-M anti-tank missile system (ATGM). Launcher with a thermal imaging sight is installed on a motorcycle sidecar on a special turret. The cost of such a motorcycle is more than 500 thousand rubles.

The military model of the Ural is in production, but in fact it is not supplied to the Russian army due to its high cost, Sitnikov noted. More than 90% of the equipment of the Irbit plant is sold abroad, he added. “Our army is supplied with ATVs and snowmobiles, today there are no two- and three-wheeled vehicles in the army,” the expert summed up.

Motorcycles are in service with armies, for example, the United States, Germany and China, but in small numbers, said military expert Vasily Kashin. "Their finest hour was in the second world war... They were cheaper than cars and had quite high cross-country ability", - reminded Kashin. In his opinion, now in the army it is much more profitable to use light vehicles such as buggies or ATVs. “There are lots of motorcycles in the Iranian army. But this is more likely a consequence of the industrial weakness of this country, ”the expert concluded.

I introduced readers to "Za Rulem" two days ago, and now we present to your attention the most unexpected and interesting premiere - Izh Kombi reincarnated by the Kalashnikov concern. The legendary Soviet hatchback received a refreshed appearance and innovative electrical filling. The rated power of the CV-1 power plant is 220 kW (299 hp), peak power is 500 kW (680 hp). An electric battery with a capacity of 90 kWh is installed in the car, which provides 350 km of run on a single charge.

The press service of the Russian concern informs that Izh Combi CV-1 is a kind of stand for testing innovative solutions, including:

“A fast-acting modular battery management system that allows reaching 2000 A (in the future 3000 A) with real-time control of cells and control of charge and discharge. In addition, the CV-1 has a system of optimal balancing of the elements, taking into account the slightest difference in the characteristics of each. The battery of the electric supercar powers a revolutionary inverter with dimensions of 50 × 50 × 100 cm and a mass of 50 kg and can develop power up to 1.2 MW of payload. "

The dynamic characteristics of the electric car have not yet been named (it is only known that it gains the first hundred in 6 seconds), as well as the timing of the start of mass production.

Concern "Kalashnikov" was instructed to revive the production of motorcycles.

Of course, many of us have warm feelings for the old "Urals", "Jupiters", "IZHAM", but ask any current motorcyclist who has driven BMW, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki for more than one year, but what is really there , many have long been in love with KTM or Ducati)) ... ask them: “will he change to the same“ Jural ”or“ Izh ”. In ten out of ten cases, you, in a mild form, will be sent for a walk at a well-known address.

Sentimentality may be heartfelt and sincere, but in our short summer, every motorcyclist dreams of riding, not twisting the nuts ... Why all this passage, and besides, once again, adult uncles from large offices began to mutter about the revival of motorcycle production in Russia.

And as Alexey Krivoruchko said, general director Concern Kalashnikov JSC:

“There is an order for us - to revive the production of motorcycles. We are engaged in this, we are now assembling a team, competencies, we already have the first results, but, probably, in August we are going to announce this project in more detail " (end of quote).

The project may be financed by Vnesheconombank. The chairman of VEB has already got acquainted with the civilian line of the Kalashnikov concern. Negotiations on investment in civilian defense projects are ongoing. But it is already known that after examining the production, the chairman of Vnesheconombank concluded: there is cooperation.

And as the general director of JSC Concern Kalashnikov clarified: if motorcycles in Izhevsk will be made again, then only under the IZH brand.

Of course, the idea of \u200b\u200breviving motorcycle production is not a bad thing in itself. The only trouble is that there is really nothing special to revive. It should be said about the construction of a new production from scratch, taking into account modern technologies and requirements. If they start to stamp the antediluvian "IZH", then it will be possible to sell it only by tightly closing the border for the import of imported motor vehicles. And we know how to do this, which cannot be said about motorcycles.

Conclusion: we must not postpone and buy so beloved BMW, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, Ducati and other enemy two-wheeled product. Until our "military" did not turn off the tap at all. Although, maybe they will talk, kick the air, budget money "cut" and calm down? As it was more than once on the waves of the "revival of motorcycle production."

For reference: the Ural motorcycle is still being produced at the Irbit Motorcycle Plant. The smoking-room is alive !! Today, about 200 pieces are produced per year. Why so few? Because nobody needs them in Russia. All "Urals" go abroad to single fans who are ready to part with the amount of more than 700,000 rubles (excluding delivery). And here once again the question arises, what exactly are they going to revive at the Kalashnikov Concern? We are waiting for August, most likely they will show something at the exhibition "Army 2018". We will be sincerely glad if it is not a facelift of some kind. chinese motorcycle, but at least something more solid, say, Harley-Davidson or Honda Gold Wing ...))

Let's refresh our memory which motorcycles in the USSR behind the “Iron Curtain” were among the most popular:

IZH Planet Sport 1973,

who tried to look like Japanese motorcycles of the 60s and 70s

ZID-175 4ShP

For a snack, the first domestic ATV ZID-175 4ShP, a child of the "dashing nineties", is an excellent illustration of what happens when talented gunsmiths undertake to produce motor vehicles

More than 1 million Jawa motorcycles were delivered to the USSR different modelsbut 360 was the most beloved and desired

IZH Planet, 1962

The founder of a whole family, produced up to 2008 (IZH Planet 7)

Vyatka VP-150

The beginning of production in 1956, the prototype was the Italian Vespa scooter, model 150GL, model 1954.

Kalashnikov is known primarily as a manufacturer of weapons, but recently the Concern has been actively developing other promising areas. In addition to automatic and sniper weapons, hunting rifles and sporting rifles, Kalashnikov creates remotely controlled combat modules, unmanned aerial vehicles and special purpose boats. In the sphere of the Concern's activities, motor vehicles also turned out to be very modern.

It was in Izhevsk in 1929 that the very first domestic motorcycles. Mass production motorcycles began at the Izhevsk Machine-Building Plant in 1946. In total, over six decades have produced more than 10 million different models... Thus, the Izhmash enterprise was known far beyond the borders of our country, not only thanks to the release of the legendary Kalashnikov assault rifle, but also of motorcycles.

Today Kalashnikov is working to revive the production of Izh motorcycles, which was closed in 2008. Recall that in July, plans to restore motorcycle production at the Concern were outlined by the head of Rostec Sergey Chemezov. In an interview with TASS, he recalled the once popular Izh-Planet motorcycle, which was produced at Izhmash in the 1960s. “Kalashnikov is also restoring motorcycle production. You probably remember how Izh-Planeta was popular in its time. Now the task has been set: to revive what was, bring to modern level", - noted the head of the State Corporation.

At the end of August this year, at the Army-2017 forum, the Kalashnikov Concern presented a new model of a motorcycle with an electric power plant... Immediately after the forum, several of these motorcycles were handed over to the Moscow police for testing in real conditions... In addition, the concept of a new heavy motorcycle was shown at the Army-2017 forum.

A prototype of this model was presented quite recently at the exhibition "Russia Looking to the Future" in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manezh". In particular, the heavy motorcycle "Izh" produced by the Concern "Kalashnikov" was demonstrated to Vladimir Putin.

The new model features a striking futuristic design - streamlined shapes, large casings on wheels, an elongated silhouette. The motorcycle is almost 3 meters long and weighs more than half a ton. Wherein maximum speed the motorcycle reaches 250 km / h, and it accelerates to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds.

The first batch of heavy motorcycles "Izh" will be released in 2018. It is assumed that it will be used within the framework of the Cortege project, which provides for the development of Russian representative vehicles - a limousine, an SUV, a minivan and a sedan - for top officials of the state.

Thus, the Kalashnikov Concern is faced with the task of not only reviving the production of motor vehicles, but also bringing it to a new level, creating new modern and competitive models.

The specialists of the Kalashnikov concern have proved that they can design not only the best weapons in the world, but also modern vehicles. Latest development - a huge black motorcycle with the famous IZH emblem.

Domestic motorists were upset when in 2008 it was announced that the production of IZH motorcycles was discontinued. And this year, the Kalashnikov concern presented a new bike that does not leave anyone indifferent with its appearance and outstanding performance.

The design of the bike is impressive. It is very long and wide (dimensions 290x94x125 centimeters). The black motorcycle, thanks to the faceted outer panels, looks like a transport for Darth Vader or Batman. Front and rear wheel closed with huge covers so that when driving, rotating parts are practically invisible.

The new IZH has a gasoline engine boxer engine with a power of 110 kW (150 hp), developing a torque of 180 N ∙ m. Thanks to this motor, the car weighing 510 kilograms accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds. And the maximum speed of a motorcycle from Izhevsk is 250 km / h.

Representatives of the plant initially claimed that the motorcycle was made simply as a concept, but the automotive press suggested that the new IZH could be used as a moto escort in the government transport system "Cortege".
