Motoblock mtz 05 description. Motoblocks MTZ: an overview of models and prices

I want to tell you a story about the MTZ-05 walk-behind tractor and how it was used in our family. We bought it in 1989, brought it to order from Belarus, as at that time it could only be done by acquaintance. Why to order and "by pull"? - and you look what year. I was only 12 years old at the time. Complete with a walk-behind tractor, there were immediately a plow, a harrow, a cultivator, a segmental mower, a hiller and a cart, and also a very important device, a universal hitch. The walk-behind tractor itself was an engine combined through an adapter plate and a gear transmission (gearbox), which consisted of 6 steps - 4 front and two rear. A walk-behind tractor control rod was welded to the upper gearbox cover. The bar had all the controls necessary for the control, including the gear shift levers.
So let's take a closer look at the UD-15 engine - it was produced in Kazakhstan, Petropavlovsk. According to the description of many experts, the UD-15 is the same SK-12 engine, only in addition to everything it is equipped with a rated power speed regulator. That is, the UD-15 engine was supposed to work according to the idea at rated power rpm, namely 3000 rpm. Mode idle move the UD-15 engine also had it, but at low gas the engine did not work very steadily even at low load, maybe of course it was a defect of my particular copy. Why the Minsk Tractor Works decided to use UD-15 and not SK-12 is also a mystery to me. In fact, the engine was not that important, which I later changed to Briggs & Stratton Vanguard TM OHV 7.5 hp. MODEL 138400. But that's a little later.
Now I will tell you point by point about attachments for motoblock MTZ.
I'll start with the first and most unpleasant - coupling universal model SC-00. As the practice of its operation has shown, it has a not entirely correct design or a flaw. The fact is that in order to rearrange some implements on others, it takes a lot of effort to knock out the square tube of the coupling from the pipe of the attached implement, be it a plow or a cultivator. Why is this happening? It is very simple, it seems to me that with a strong fixation with a bolt and a nut of the tool and the universal coupling, the deformation of the square tube occurs. Further, the universal hitch rod is clamped and without shamanism and careful knocking out, the weapon cannot be dismantled. The rest of the hitch proved to be quite reliable. It has a coarse-threaded adjustment knob, with which you can adjust the mounting angles of the attachments during operation.
Plow-digger model PL... Maybe my soils turned out to be heavy (like loam). But after a year of operation, the plow bent over the frame - it had to be strengthened by welding pieces of reinforcement onto it, after which the problem with reliability was solved. A knife was also installed on the plow, according to the instructions using this device, it was possible to plow the virgin soil. But in fact, it is a little different, the weight of the walk-behind tractor is too small.
Now the actual work with the plow - it gave me, if not pleasure, then satisfaction. The plowing depth that I managed to achieve when working with a plow on heavy loamy soils is 18-20 cm.At the same time, the neighbors working through the fence with Ray, Neva, plow noticeably higher by 14-17 cm smaller. Well, on a walk-behind tractor, 100 (Ray) and 140 ( MTZ) kg already there is a difference in tractive effort. In any case, if it is damp in the garden, it is better not to plow it, either with a Ray or with a heavier MTZ, you will suffer.
In fact, it is possible to torment yourself on fairly light soil, having adjusted the plow incorrectly or not at all. Initially, it is necessary to adjust the grip of the plow by setting the angle on the universal hitch and turning it in a vertical plane by loosening two bolts. In this case, it is necessary to achieve so that the plow makes a furrow, the left wheel on the second and subsequent passes went along its ridge (unplowed), and the right wheel, on the contrary, went along the bottom of the furrow, then the plow, as it were, buries the track from the right wheel. Further, the operator should not pull out or, on the contrary, deepen the plow; when "sticking" into the ground, it should go smoothly and easily. The angle of installation of the plow in the horizontal axis is adjusted again on the hitch, well, not like in the first case with two bolts, but with an adjusting knob. And the third very important adjustment, which users forget about and from it there are blisters - setting the correct height of the handles on the steering bar of the walk-behind tractor. With a properly adjusted plow, you can work all day and not get tired, and if not adjusted, you can kill yourself in 5-10 minutes. Plowing performance MTZ-05, which I reached 4-5 acres per hour. I usually plow the soil in second gear, if in principle to make a coarse lumpy ground surface (plowing in the fall), then slower in first gear. Wheels for plowing are usually metal. Previously, on light soils, it also coped with rubber wheels, now, due to the replacement of the engine with Briggs & Stratton, the walk-behind tractor has lost 10-12 kg and already does not go easily during plowing.
Moreover, it is important to note that the plow is not reversible, so I plow either into a dump or into a collapse. Or if it is not possible to plow like this, I stalk gently back and make the next pass.
In addition to the plowing function, the manufacturer also recommends using the plow as a digger for various root crops. To be honest, I did not even dare to use this plow for such operations - I bought a separate digger.
A cultivator for a walk-behind tractor is quite simple, but it has shown itself well in the captivity of reliability, the only thing that needs to be checked is all the bolts. The cultivator easily loosens the soil by 8-12 cm.
Harrow KB-1.6 - to be honest, I have never used it. And why is there a cultivator - buy one for the future owners.
P-05 trailer - showing itself quite reliable. There is a drawer under the seat where I put all my tools. The trailer is equipped with mechanical brakes and a parking foot brake. He carried a lot of things and everything on it. To transport the hay, we had to build up the sides, made it with my father from wooden boards and thick metal plates, it turned out as if it was made at a factory. In addition, they welded the back to the seat, it swayed very much.
Segment mower KN - this is the most unsuccessful attachment design of the entire range of equipment that I once operated, worked for 10 minutes, stretch and lock all the bolts. If this is not done, then the mower will fly apart, which in fact she did with me. I looked at various Internet forums and announcements, saw multiple requests for spare parts for this mower, - I wanted to restore it first (I wonder why). Then I decided not to do this, because There are simply no spare parts, and I bought a Husqvarna lawn mower, but that's another story.
Hiller mounted OK - adjustable in height and wingspan. The wing-adjusting structure was not quite sturdy. She represented adjusting strips with holes that can bend in heavy soil. In addition, in fact, in one pass, the plow can theoretically process two beds at once, and this turns out, it only pours it low enough under the potatoes - therefore, you have to go through one furrow 2-3 times. For hilling potatoes in light soil, the tool is ideal, if we consider it as a tool for the initial cutting of the beds, I did not get anything good. In our soil, it is difficult to keep the walk-behind tractor straight when cutting ridges.
To be continued…

The Belarus 05 motoblock is the first motoblock of the Minsk Tractor Plant. The production of equipment started in 1978 and continued until 1992. Belarus 05 is a two-wheeled chassis with a reversible steering rod, a single-cylinder motor and a power train. The equipment has a wheeled configuration and belongs to the 0.1 traction class. The walk-behind tractor is positioned exclusively as an agricultural machine.

MTZ Belarus 05 has a rich history. In 1978, the Minsk Tractor Plant began producing various mini-equipment. The first models were positioned as a replacement for the classic mini tractors. They were built on a single-axle chassis. In some cases, the walk-behind tractor was articulated with a trolley, making it a full-fledged vehicle.

MTZ Belarus 05 allows you to perform a wide range of works:

  • plowing light soil;
  • hilling beets and potatoes;
  • transportation of goods;
  • harrowing;
  • mowing grass.

The model is used to work in small areas: gardens, vegetable gardens, backyard and school grounds.

The equipment is capable of towing a semi-trailer of significant weight (up to 500 kg). In this case, the walk-behind tractor is also suitable for performing stationary work. In this case, the drive is carried out from the PTO shaft.

Thanks to the variable track (425, 600 and 700 mm) Belarus 05 can handle various crops. The model has a very original design. The walk-behind tractor has no frame, and the skeleton is made of several transmission housings.

Belarus 05 works with a large number of attachments, since certain soil categories require a specific implement. The equipment is aggregated with the KR-70 cultivator, PL-1 plow, PKh-0.5 semi-trailer, KN-1 mower, KO-2 hiller and BN-50 harrow. For their articulation with the device there is a hinge unit.

The technique has a differential with cross-axle locking.

MTZ Belarus 05 for a long time remained the leader of its segment and gained enormous distribution in the domestic market. Nowadays, it is less and less common. It was replaced by the more advanced Belarus 09N walk-behind tractor. However, the technology has not lost its consumer properties even now.

Specifications

Overall parameters of the Belarus 05 walk-behind tractor:

  • length - 1800 mm;
  • width - 850 mm;
  • height - 1070 mm;
  • ground clearance - 300 mm;
  • the minimum turning radius is 1000 mm.

The size of the technique allows you to process various plants with minimal damage to them and overcome a small ford if necessary. The model weighs 135 kg.

Belarus 05 is equipped with a reliable transmission with 4 front and 2 reverse gears... It allows the walk-behind tractor to develop a transport speed of 9.6 km / h. The working speed of the model is 2.15 km / h.

The technique has an original steering column with a turn of 160 degrees or a deviation to the left or right by 15 degrees. This allows, when processing the soil and reversing, not to follow the working body, but to move from the side, which simplifies the work with the walk-behind tractor.

Fuel consumption

On Belarus 05 it is installed fuel tank with a capacity of 5 liters. The average fuel consumption for this model is 340-360 g / kW.

Engine

The MTZ Belarus 05 model, in contrast to the latest brand products, is equipped with a domestic UD-15 engine. This air-cooled, 4-stroke, 1-cylinder carburetor unit has a fairly simple construction and runs on gasoline. The main advantage of the motor is the availability of parts for its repair. In the event of a malfunction, it will not be difficult to acquire and replace the problematic element.

This unit was designed on the basis of the MEMZ-966 engine installed in the Zaporozhets, and its main disadvantage was a poor start.

The power plant itself is attached to the clutch housing. The engine is started with the kick-starter pedal located on the right side of the crankcase. A folding parking support with a spring is installed on the bottom of the motor, on the right - exhaust pipe.

Characteristics of the power plant "UD-15":

  • working volume - 0.245 l;
  • rated power - 3.7 (5) kW (hp);
  • rotation frequency - 3000 rpm.

Some modifications of the walk-behind tractor were equipped with a 2-cylinder UD-25 engine with an overhead gas distribution mechanism.

MTZ 05 is the very first walk-behind tractor of the Minsk Tractor Plant. It was with him that the modern history of the Belarusian enterprise began. The equipment of the same name was produced during the Soviet era - from 1978 to 1992. The walk-behind tractor has gained a reputation for being reliable and inexpensive car, with simple construction and cheap spare parts. The device is still in demand in a supported market, and still looks good against the background of more modern counterparts.

MTZ 05 is positioned as an alternative to classic mini tractors. The machine is built on a single-axle chassis, and in some cases it is supplied with a trolley, which at the same time forms a single structure with a walk-behind tractor. Due to this, the technique turns into a full-fledged off-road vehicle.
We must immediately admit that the technique has a narrow range of possibilities, although it is capable of performing a wide range of work. For example, a walk-behind tractor is subject to the following tasks:

  • medium plowing
  • hilling root crops and other vegetable crops
  • transportation of small loads
  • mowing grass and bushes
  • harrowing

Even now, equipment is in high demand among undemanding business executives. The machine is ideal for work in the vegetable garden, garden and school grounds.

MTZ 05 has a limited potential for installing attachments, which is especially noticeable when compared with modern models... And yet, the robust construction, coupled with large wheels, allow towing a 500 kg trailer - a very decent figure today. In addition, the walk-behind tractor is quite capable of stationary work.

The technique has a flexible design. For example, it is possible to adjust the track within 425, 600 and 700 mm, which is very convenient when processing certain types of crops. Off-road capabilities are limited only by large "toothy" wheels, since the walk-behind tractor does not have a frame, and this significantly reduces strength.

Attachments

The walk-behind tractor can be equipped with a variety of attachment options that are suitable for processing small areas. Consider the most popular attachments for MTZ 05:

  • Cultivator KR-70
  • Plow PL-1
  • Semi-trailer PX-0.5
  • Mower KN-1
  • Hiller KO-2
  • Harrow BN-50
    The equipment is connected to the walk-behind tractor using a hitch unit.
    Also, the walk-behind tractor is equipped with a cross-axle differential lock. This unit, like the wheels, to some extent affects the permeability.

Engine and characteristics

Motoblock MTZ 05 has a very compact dimensions, which distinguishes it from competitors. Product length is 1800 mm, width - 850 mm, height and ground clearance - 1070 and 300 mm, respectively. The turning radius is at least 1000 mm.

Short overhangs and small dimensions are another mite in favor of geometric flotation. In addition, compact walk-behind tractor handles well and is comfortable to maneuver in tight spaces with boulders and trees. The device weighs about 135 kg, which allows you to process the soil to great depths without using soil hooks and other weighting materials.

The walk-behind tractor is equipped with a six-speed mechanical box, in which four speeds are responsible for forward movement. Maximum speed - about 9 km / h, and the working speed is 2 km / h.
It is noteworthy that the technique has a steering column that can be adjusted by 160 degrees. As a last resort, the column can be tilted to the side (left or right) by 15 degrees. This feature allows you to work from the side of the device, rather than follow it.

Responsible for performance in MTZ 05 domestic engine UD-15. This time-tested unit has been well known since the early 1990s. It has been well studied by service technicians. The motor has air cooling, and runs on gasoline. The power plant is extremely easy to maintain, and does not require special attention. Serious problems very rarely occur, but even in extreme cases, it will not be difficult to replace the problematic element.

Note that the UD-15 is based on the MEM3-966 engine, borrowed from the Ukrainian car "Zaporozhets". Minus this motor - mediocre launch. But this drawback was solved in the updated engine - UD-15.

The engine is installed on the clutch housing, and to start the ignition, you must press the so-called kick starter. There is an exhaust pipe on the right side of the engine, and a folding parking brake is installed at the bottom.
With a working volume of 0.24 liters, the UD-15 engine develops 5 horsepower.

Basic complete sets of the walk-behind tractor are supplied with a single-cylinder engine. More powerful twin-cylinder versions are also rare.

Fuel consumption

MTZ 05 is equipped with a 5-liter fuel tank, which is enough for many hours of work until the next refueling. In addition, the walk-behind tractor is very economical even under maximum load. It consumes an average of 2 liters per hour. When transporting goods and processing virgin lands, the consumption can reach up to 3 liters. In general, most owners are satisfied with the efficiency of the walk-behind tractor.

Prices in Russia

MTZ 05 has not been produced for a long time, but there are a lot of cars left on the supported market, and you can find a copy in good condition... So, it is recommended to look closely at the models of the freshest, 1992 release. The cost of such a walk-behind tractor will be in the region - 10-20 thousand rubles. The price depends on technical condition and from the list of installed equipment. Earlier versions of the 1980s are in a "killed" state, and therefore cost about 7-8 thousand rubles.

Motoblock MTZ 05 can already be considered an outdated model. But despite this, the technique is able to somehow compete with modern counterparts. It is believed that the next generation of this model is the 09H model, which is currently being produced. In addition, the walk-behind tractor successfully competes with the Motor Sich MB-8 and Zirka LX108OD machines.

Motoblock MTZ-05 is a universal assistant when performing construction, communal and agricultural work.

It is worth noting that now this model is not produced, so it will be a little difficult to find spare parts for the MTZ 05 walk-behind tractor, you will need to look for an alternative. Of course, later they began to produce a modernized model of this type - MTZ 09N. It has become no less popular and has proven itself well among other motoblocks.

How to make a mini tractor from an MTZ 05 walk-behind tractor - do it yourself modernization

Since now this unit is no longer available, many are trying to convert it into a mini tractor. This design will increase the functionality of the unit and make it more convenient for the owner. Now on the market or in many online stores you can find complete sets of all parts for altering a walk-behind tractor. In the same set, there is immediately step-by-step instruction, which will help in the work. All you need is an electric welder, wrenches and a locksmith tool. So if you have technical knowledge and skills, you can easily make such a modification of your walk-behind tractor into a minitractor.

If you decide to remake the MTZ-05 yourself, then the first problem you will encounter is that the center of gravity of such a unit is shifted to the front. How to get rid of it:

  • We transfer the unit to the operating mode with the mower.
  • Dismantle the front part.
  • In place of the front, we install the steering with a wheel.
  • We fix the adjusting rod in the zero niche.
  • We weld the mount for the driver's seat.
  • We weld a separate platform for the accumulator and hydraulic valve.
  • At the back we install a frame for the hydraulic system.
  • We mount the brake on the front wheel.

As for spare parts for the MTZ walk-behind tractor, the question arises: from what are the spare parts suitable for such a design? Here, in principle, everything is simple, the seat will fit from any car, or from the body of a tractor, and so on. Wheels are fine from a motorcycle, and car wheels, for example, can also do.

With the help of such a simple design, we will get a full-fledged three-wheeled minitractor.
Also, as a modernization, Belarus can be converted into a snow blower, or equipped with an adapter. Such structures can be made by hand; there are many schemes on the Internet on how to do this.

Remember that in order for the walk-behind tractor to serve you for many years, you should adhere to all the conditions of the operating instructions. First of all, you need to regularly diagnose the unit, at least once a week. Disassemble the equipment and see if all parts are functioning normally, produce permanent replacement oils. If you find any problems, then it is worth referring to the repair manual. There you will find detailed description and how to replace the engine, and disassemble the clutch, and what is needed to adjust the clutch, how to clean the spark plugs and so on. If you doubt that you can bring the unit into operation, then just take it to a service center.
