PRIZRAK has two independent security functions that use engine blocking, which can be temporarily disabled by placing the module in Valet service mode. Security functions can work separately and in conjunction, which gives the user a choice of three anti-theft modes, each of which is enabled and modified by programming. Thus, the versatility of the device in terms of operating conditions and the needs of the owner is extremely high.
Immobilizer is a function designed to protect a car from being stolen from a parking place. That is, it closes the "black hole" into which up to 70% of cars go. The function switches to "watchdog mode" 2 every time the ignition is switched off for more than 30 seconds.
In watchdog mode, the engine can be started - the blocking is triggered 5 seconds after the ignition is turned on, if there have been no attempts to enter the PIN code (the engine blocking operation is postponed until the PIN code is entered).
When the ignition is switched off, the engine lock will be released, but while the Immobilizer is in watchdog mode, the lock will be activated each time as described above.
To disengage the Immobilizer from watchdog mode, as well as to remove the engine blocking, if it has already been triggered, you need to enter the PIN code with the ignition on. If the ignition has been turned off for less than 30 seconds, you do not need to enter the PIN code.
This is convenient when manipulating the ignition, for example, when entering a code and programming operations in some alarms, as well as in case of an unsuccessful engine start.
An important pointConstantly discussed: if the "Immobilizer" function is enabled, PRIZRAK will prevent autorun from working. If only AntiHijack is enabled - with appropriate settings, both anti-theft protection and autorun operation are provided.
AntiHijack is a function designed mainly to protect against violent seizure of a car on the way (another closed "black hole", moreover, dangerous for the car owner!), But (with the Immobilizer function disabled) it can also prevent theft from a place, distance from the parking place. AntiHijack switches to watchdog mode in the following cases:
A) The ignition was turned off for more than 30 s (if the "Immobilizer" function is not enabled; if it is enabled, the module will work according to its algorithms).
B) The driver's door is open. If the door was opened and closed before the ignition was turned on, and then it did not open, and the PIN code was not entered, AntiHijack considers the door to be open and switches to guard mode. This is important: this is what provides both protection against theft "from a place", and the ability to work autorun.
After the transition to the watchdog mode, AntiHiJack passes several phases in succession and, if it has not been removed from the watchdog mode, turns on the engine blocking.
The phase change occurs only when the ignition is on.
When the ignition is turned off, the module memorizes the current state, and the next time the ignition is turned on, the function continues. In other words, the function is not disabled or reset to the beginning by a re-ignition. AntiHiJack can be taken out of watchdog mode at any phase by entering a PIN code.
