The winner is Pirelli, and the Dunlop rubber model has coped worse than all with the test. What was the test? We tried to determine at what limit speed you can keep our Duster when driving in a specially marked turnover (radius of 35 m).

The last exercise on the wet asphalt was the trading of an obstacle, which, under the terms of the task, suddenly arose on our path. And there are no surprises. On Pirelli tires, you can "dodge" at a speed of about 72 km / h, and on the Dunlop rubber only 66.5 km / h.

On a dry road

As for the level of comfort. Unfortunately, the most chain rubber was the most rigid. Pirelli can not be called comfortable tires. Much more pleasant to ride with rubber production Michelin. They noise less than the remaining subjects and smoothly go. For more accurate results, two tires of each model visited the stands, and the lowest rolling resistance and, therefore, the smallest fuel consumption was at Yokohama and Michelin, but the outsider in this discipline was Hankook tires.

The following discipline is an aquaplaning on a direct segment, with the carrier of the tires in this case, the mid-size pickup was performed, the transmission of which was forcibly activated in the rear-wheel drive mode. The place of measurements to which should be approached in the third gear with a speed of 60 km / h, represented by a bathroom 200 meters with an 8-mm water layer, and the right wheels remain on dry asphalt. Measuring devices through individual wheel sensors fix the difference in angular speeds of the right and left front wheels, and for the beginning of the aquaplating, a 15-percent discrepancy between the angular velocities of the right wheel is taken, in contact with the asphalt, and the slipping left, pop-up over the road.

It already turned out that the "wet" rearrangement was carried out on the asphalt with a high clutch coefficient, and the "dry" exercise had to be carried out on a more slippery, albeit dry coverage, why the limit speeds on the wet road turned out higher than on dry. That is why one more test was added - checking manageability on a special track (though, the estimates here turned out to be almost the same as for the rearrangement). Nokian tires were better shown better than well-predicted behavior in slipping and immediate reactions to driving driving. The highest stability from the point of view of manageability was shown by Continental and Pirelli, which earned the same points in both of the exercises.

Having finished the cycle of "wet" tests, proceed to the "dry" disciplines, which started braking from a speed of 100 to 5 km / h on rough and smooth coverage.
