All kinds of police cars. The best police cars from around the world (68 photos)

Ford has unveiled a new vehicle for the US police. Its distinguishing feature is not only new appearancebut also a completely different type power unitthat has been used for decades on police cars North Americacreated to chase and intercept rule violators road traffic and criminals. The new one is installed. It looks like the world's first environmentally friendly clean car for the police, which will be massively procured by law enforcement agencies.

In honor of a new round of technology, a video was shot, which clearly shows how Ford cars have changed from the 50s to the present day. But before we start watching the video, we will acquaint you a little closer with the facts that surround these unusual cars in many ways.

Ford has realized the importance of government contracts since Henry Ford built his first assembly line in 1913. By 1956, the company had a monopoly on the supply of police vehicles, with 70% of the police market in its hands. This is how the development of the style of this special equipment went. Let's highlight some details of the evolutionary process.

Pictured is a 1954 Ford Mainline

In 1952, Ford police cars based on the Mainline sedan offered little more gimmicks and professional comforts than the standard model. Fuel efficiency was improved, the trunk for the radio was enlarged, and the police version had better handling. In later years of production, Ford redesigned the cars with new Interpector V8 engines, comfortable "24 hour duty front seats" designed for long working hours and a cigarette lighter. At that time, there were no cup holders on American cars.

In the late fifties, police cars in America became much safer, getting more than just 215 engines horse powerbut also recessed steering wheel, padded front panel and door safety locks, and front suspension with ball joints.

Pictured is a 1964 Galaxie 500

In the sixties, GM's expansion into the domain of Ford government orders began, but it did not last long and ended in nothing. The most massive police car in those years was the Galaxies model, which was most often seen in ambushes and outside cafes with donuts.

This giant was propelled by a huge 6.4-liter V8 with more than 400 (!) Hp. and this is in the sixties. The engine developed such a high power by installing additional twin carburetors, there were three of them in total. It was only possible to get away from such a car with a more maneuverable and lightweight European sports car.

Model 1971 Custom 500 shown.

True, not all officers were given such cars; less successful colleagues were forced to serve in more modest sedans.

In the photo model 1985 Ford Mustang SSP

In the eighties, police Mustangs began to appear with special packages mounted on them. The special package included a 5.0 liter engine with forged pistons and a "police" reinforced suspension... Special services vehicles were also equipped with disc brakes, the floor was made of thicker steel and they had a more powerful generator.

Unfortunately for the cops, not everyone was able to be content with Mustangs, so since 1983, many officers have found themselves behind the wheel of the LTD Crown Victorias. The boxy but expressive sedan that we all know from American films of the 80s.

Pictured is a 1988 Ford Crown Victoria

These models came with injector 5.8 liter engines V8 power which shocked all veterans of the service - 165 horsepower and 393 Nm of torque. The engine was aggregated with a 4-speed automatic gearbox for maximum productivity. In principle, low power turned out to be not such a terrible sin, because criminals at that time traveled around the country in even slower cars, with the exception of violators from Miami.

On the picture ford model Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Police officers switched to the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor in 1992, but true connoisseurs of American special vehicles are more likely to remember the second generation of this car, which debuted in 1997. 4.6 liter V8 under the hood and claimed maximum speed at 240 km / h. Grip quality guaranteed all-season tires... The same specimens can still be found on the streets of Moscow and other large cities of Russia.

Very often in the news, you can see how incredibly luxurious cars, which can only be envied, move along the streets of cities in certain states. The time has come to find out exactly where and what brands of cars are transferred to the disposal of the police forces.

Ferrari FF, Dubai

This car cannot be called necessary for the conditions of the city of Dubai - it is not entirely clear why it is needed four-wheel drive for this heat? But still, this car has incredible power and looks very stylish - apparently, this is what the city authorities were guided by.

Lamborghini Aventador, Dubai

Before the Ferrari FF cars were introduced to the police, Lamborghini Aventador drove through the city streets. This is one of the most stylish car brands to date - further confirmation that the media image for Dubai is more important than the functionality of the car itself.

"Lotus Evora S", Italy

This car is perfect for the way it is used. After all, these cars are driven not just by police, but by the special armed forces of Italy, a special subdivision of the Carabinieri, who are trained like full-fledged soldiers.

Caparo T1, UK

Just imagine if this car were actually used to chase criminals - they would not have a chance to get away from full-fledged racing car format "Formula 1".

Lamborghini Gallardo, Italy

Unfortunately, these wonderful cars have already been replaced by others in Italy, but for a long time they were driven by the servants of the law. Incredible powerful engine, aggressive appearance - all of this was perfect to put things in order on the streets of Italian cities.

Chevrolet Corvette, USA

Alas, this car not really a policeman - it is just a prototype that has been created but has not yet been adopted. But it would be very impressive if such cars drove around American cities and controlled the order on the streets.

Brabus G63 AMG, Dubai

Outwardly, this car may not look very stylish and aggressive, like the previous two models that relate to the city of Dubai. But in reality, this SUV has impressive power, and you can hardly get away from the chase if you are chased by this particular car.

Lexus IS-F, Humberstone

Not the most common type of police car, although it is one of the best in the UK. Special attention should be paid to the on-board computer containing the police database so that law enforcement officers have direct access to it directly from the car.

Aston Martin One-77, Dubai

One of the fastest, most beautiful and rare cars to date also got into the service of the Dubai police. This city, apparently, has set itself the goal of collecting all the most best cars of all time and put them in the police service.

Brabus Rocket, Germany

Criminals in Germany can take a breath - unfortunately, this is not a real road car for police chases. This is a prototype developed in 2006 to promote road safety, but police use different vehicles to bring the idea to life.

Dodge Charger, USA

This police car is the fastest in United States law enforcement history.
It was developed exclusively for the needs and requirements of the police, who reported exactly what they lacked in previous models.

HSV GTS, Australia

This police car is real, not a prototype, as many might think. Naturally, it is rarely seen on the roads, as it is used mainly for motivational purposes, but if you do notice this model in real life, remember - this is really a police car that chases real criminals.

Lotus Evora S, Great Britain

As you can see, this car is popular with the police - you may have noticed it in the list earlier, as it is used in cities in Italy. In the UK, he also works in the service, but in most cases he only performs a motivational role.

Jaguar XF, UK

This is the standard vehicle for UK law enforcement. It is nowhere near as powerful and aggressive as many of the machines on the list, but good enough to do its job perfectly.

Nissan GT-R, USA

This vehicle is used by Americans for undercover activities. Although, given the menacing and imposing appearance of this car, it is difficult to say how it is designed not to attract too much attention.

TG boys "police car

This car is one of the most absurd in police history. The creators of this model were allocated an extremely limited budget - the result was a complete failure.

McLaren 12C, UK

Again, this car is not a real police car on duty. It is used to promote ideas for non-traffic violations and the like. As a matter of fact, such a machine is quite possible to intimidate criminals.

Volvo S60, Australia

Many might think that this car doesn't look as intimidating as most on the list, but it is actually quite powerful and agile. Therefore, do not underestimate him due to his rather harmless appearance.

"Lamborghini Huracan"

And, of course, one cannot but stop separately on a wonderful car, which is considered one of the fastest in the world. More recently, it was this model that became the main one in the Italian police, so Italians need to be very careful on the roads, since now such a beast will chase them, from which it is simply not possible to get away. As you can see, some people don't need special concept cars that don't actually take part in road chases to motivate people - just use a Lamborghini like this, and everyone without any motivation will understand that they break traffic rules when the roads are patrolled like this. cars, definitely not worth it.

For over 100 years, various security services around the world have used vehicles to quickly reach places where an accident or other incident occurred. For a long time, no modern city can do without cars with flashing lights and special colors. As a rule, third-party companies that create special vehicles based on serial cars are engaged in the finalization of a car for the police, police, traffic police, traffic police, etc. But sometimes the order for the creation of such cars is given directly to the manufacturer.

10th place - Alfa Romeo 159 Polizia

In 2006, Italian police wanted to change their Fiat Mareas for something newer. The choice fell on a stylish middle-class sedan - Alfa Romeo 159. After revision, the car received an armored body, light and sound signals and, of course, special colors.

Under the hood of the police "Alpha" - a petrol "six" with a capacity of 260 liters. with. The car accelerated to 240 km / h and gained the first hundred in less than 8 seconds. The Alfa Romeo 159 Polizia served as an Italian police officer from 2006 to 2008. Interestingly, police officers MiTo are currently working in Italy.

9th place -FordPoliceInterceptor

To create the ideal interceptor vehicle was the task set before the creators of the Ford Police Interceptor, which first donned the "uniform" of a police officer last year. The car was shown in Las Vegas as a concept, but a few weeks later the first batch entered the service of the cops.

Under the hood of a policeman Ford is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost with a capacity of 365 hp. with. The Interceptor has all-wheel drive. The aircraft designer, Melvin Betancourt, was inspired by the military aircraft used by the US Air Force in the 1950s and 1960s, the SR-71 Blackbird. Inside the Ford Police Interceptor, every detail reminds us that this is no ordinary car. A powerful radio station is built into the central tunnel, and in the glove compartment there is a compartment for pistols and ammunition for them.

8th place -JaguarXFPolice

In 2008, the XF sedans replaced the Jaguar X-Type cops in the UK. The car received a 3-liter diesel engine (270 hp). According to the manufacturer, the car consumes about 7.5 liters per 100 km. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h for the Jaguar XF cop takes less than 6 seconds.

Jeff Cousins, managing director of Jaguar Cars, told reporters during the presentation of the car: “Our development is the best value for money. The Jaguar XF has good environmental standards and delivers the power and performance you need. ”

7th place - BMW 530d Police

Last year BMW unveiled an entire family of police cars and one motorcycle for various UK security services. These models include the 530d (F10) business sedan. Under the hood of the car is a three-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 245 liters. with. The car accelerates to 100 km / h in 6.1 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km / h.

The same engine is installed on the police troika, which entered service with the UK police "complete" with the 530d. BMW model 330d Police acts as an interceptor vehicle. All police "Bavarians" in the UK have diesel engines.

In addition to the police "five", BMW supplies the UK with a modified "troika"

6th place -LexusISFPolice

Another police car in the UK is the Lexus IS. The sports sedan is equipped with a 5-liter V8 engine producing 417 hp. with. The car accelerates to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 250 km / h. According to the manufacturer, each copy of the Lexus policeman was refined in the amount of $ 50 thousand ( on-board computers, communication, etc.).

Police officers in Yorkshire, Kingston, and North and Northeast Lincolnshire made their own choices about which sedan to drive. According to police officers, Lexus IS is more suitable for a law enforcement vehicle than others. The car served the British from 2008 to 2010.

5th place - Dodge Charger Pursuit

At the end of last year, the new Dodge Charger Pursuit began to be supplied to the American police. Under the hood of this imposing sedan is the all-new 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar (253 hp). The engine is equipped with a variable valve timing system. As an option, the police are offered a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine (344 hp) with MDS fuel economy system.

Reinforced brakes with ABS, front and rear stabilizers lateral stability, 18-inch wheels, electronic stabilization system ESC, developed specifically for police pursuits - all this makes the car ready to actively catch lawbreakers.

4th place - Chevrolet camaro Police

In 1998, when the police chevrolet sedans Caprice retired, North Lake cops (Texas, USA) had to choose which next car order from GM. Without thinking twice, the police station settled on a Chevrolet Camaro sports coupe. The car had a 5.6-liter petrol V8 under the hood and developed 314 liters. with.

The police coupe accelerated to 254 km / h, passing the first hundred in 5.5 seconds. Fuel consumption is appropriate - up to 18 liters per 100 km. The Camaro Police was fitted with a 4-speed automatic, specially upgraded for police modification. The car served American police for four years. The last batch of Camaro Police was released in early 2002.

3rd place - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Police

In 2008, Mitsubishi showed off the Lancer Evolution X Police Edition for London's law enforcement officers. As you can see, many of the participants in our today's ranking have “served” or “are serving” in the UK. The sports sedan is equipped with a turbocharged two-liter engine DOHC MIVEC with a capacity of almost 300 liters. with.

The Lancer Evo is also equipped with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission and S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control), which controls the transmission of braking force and torque to each wheel individually. Cars have been operating in the British capital since the end of 2008.

2nd place - Lotus Evora Police

Another "cool British police car" occupies the second line of our today's rating. Street racers in the West Midlands must have stopped sleeping well late last year when local police ordered the first batch of Lotus Evora Police. Under the hood of the sports car is a 3.5-liter V6 with a capacity of 280 liters. with. Due to its low weight (1350 kg), the car accelerates to a hundred in less than 5 seconds, and its top speed is 261 km / h.

How do you feel when you see a police car in your rearview mirror? Nothing? Did you know that most of the drivers all over the world at this moment start to get nervous for no reason, etc.? Why it happens? The thing is that, as a rule, there are no people who want to talk to the police once again, since this communication often ends.

But, despite our fears from just one kind of police cars, the service vehicles of the law enforcement agencies always attract our attention. Especially if we see the police or the road inspection on a not quite ordinary car... Unfortunately, both in Russia and in many foreign countries, the police and traffic policemen drive ordinary, unattractive cars.

But there are also exceptions. For example, in some countries, you can see exclusive cars as police vehicles. We have collected police from all over the world for you.

German Police: Brabus Rocket

According to the opinion, unmodified police cars will not help law enforcement agencies in pursuit. It was for this case that Brabus has created a tuning version of Mercedes-Benz for law enforcement officers. The car received a twin-turbo V12 engine with 720 hp. with.

UK Police: Lotus Esprit

In Norfolk County in the east of England, you might have seen a police supercar at one time Lotus esprit... True, at the moment it is practically not used for the needs of the police. By the way, this car was intended not only for the operational police services, but for public events. The sports car was used in the 90s.

UK Police: Mitsubishi Evo X

Australian Police: Porsche Panamera

In the south-east of Australia in New South Wales, the police have an unusual car. This is about . By the way, this is not the only one porsche car in the fleet of Australian law enforcement agencies. True, and official vehicle this sports car is not police.

Australian Police: Porsche 911

Here's another Australian police car.

Australian Police: Lexus RC F

And another sports car from the Australian Police. We are talking about a 467-horsepower, equipped with a V8 engine.

Australian Police: Mercedes-Benz GLE63 AMG

Police in Victoria drive a charged Mercedes-Benz.

Australian Police: Mercedes-Benz E43 AMG

How about this police car, equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine with 396 hp. with.?

Italian Police: Ferrari 458

When one of the Italian mafia bosses was arrested in Italy, the police confiscated his 458 Spyder sports car. Further, the police decided to use it for their own purposes for some time, in order to make it clear that sooner or later they would have to answer and pay for the crimes.

Italian Police: Land Rover Discovery

The garage of the Italian Carabinieri contains many different SUVs, including Land Rover defender and Discovery. These machines are mainly used in the Alps in winter time... So you are unlikely to meet them in the cities of Italy. Also, Italian police prefer these cars for movement on the islands of Sardinia and Sicily, where the roads are more suitable for SUVs.

Italian Police: Lamborghini Huracan

The Italian police were once known for the exclusive supercars that patrol the streets of cities. This is about Lamborghini Gallardo... Several Huracans are currently being used in Italy instead of these sports cars.

Italian Police: Alfa Romeo Giulia QV

Here's another one interesting car Italian police. This version has 510 hp. with. From 0-100 km / h, the car accelerates in just 3.9 seconds.

German Police: BMW 428i

There is a high culture of car tuning in Germany. But not all cars in Germany get smart tuning. Often, owners of tuning cars violate the law by making changes to cars that do not comply with the safety standards in force in the country. In an effort to encourage car owners to carry out adequate improvements, the German authorities and many car companies often promote car tuning with legal changes. For example, AC Schnitzer has released a tuning version of the 428i for the police, whose modifications do not violate the law. The machine is equipped with a 2.0-liter modified 290 hp engine. with.

German Police: Chevrolet Corvette

As for German police cars, it probably doesn’t surprise anyone why most often in the police you can find cars of German brands. But when on the road in Germany meets american car the police, it will most likely confuse even a tourist. For example, on many highways, you might see a police officer who is ideal for patrolling the expressways in Germany. Thanks to the 6.0-liter V8 engine, no one can hide from this police car.

German Police: Volkswagen Golf R

Here is another powerful German police car. This is an R that has been tuned by Oettinger. After the modification, the car acquired a capacity of 400 liters. with. The car also received larger brakes, aero kit and new large wheels.

German Police: BMW 530d

Nowhere in the world can you find so many unmarked police vehicles except in Germany. The most popular police car without external signs is the BMW 530d.

China Police: Nissan Rui Qi

Nissan Rui Qi SUV is developed for the Chinese market based on nissan models Navara. Unusual proportions body Nissan The Rui Qi make the cabin spacious enough to be ideal for police use.

China Police: Volkswagen Passat

Believe it or not, it is the most common police car in China. At one time, the German auto brand sold three generations of VW Passat in the Chinese market at once. Including massively cars were sold to the police department. In the photo you see the Passat Lingyu model. You can see for sure that this is not quite the Passat that we are used to. And indeed it is. Here is a modified Passat specifically for the Chinese market, which is similar to the first generation Skoda Superb.

US Police: Chevrolet Caprice PPV (US)

This is an American police car with an Australian accent. The fact is that the company realized in time that it was necessary to launch on the market a replacement for the Ford Crown Victoria, which had previously been massively used by the US police. But none of the American divisions could produce a suitable vehicle. In the end, GM asked Holden to make a police car. This is how the Chevrolet Caprice was born, which, in fact, is the Holden Caprice. But production of this car ended with the closure of the Holden plant in Australia.

US Police: Smart Fortwo

The New York City Police Department added Smart Fortwo mini cars to their fleet in 2016.

US Police: BMW i3

Compact, nimble and very economical, it has been adopted by the US police in many states. This vehicle turned out to be ideal for patrolling the streets of large cities. This is one of 100 electric BMW i8s that were ordered for the LAPD.

US Police: Ford F-150

America's best-selling pickup SUV is also used by the US police. By the way, this is the only off-road pickup truck that serves in the police. For the police ford company supplies F-150 pickups equipped with 3.5-liter gasoline engines V6 with a capacity of 375 liters. with.

In the spring of 2018, the police will begin to receive updated models.

US Police: Ford Mustang

The American tuning company Steeda Autosport has been supplying the US police with marked and unmarked police cars for over 20 years. For example, in 2016, Steeda Autosport began supplying Ford Mustang Interceptor police cars, which are available with or without turbochargers. Without a turbine, the power of the cars is 490 liters. with. (V8). With a turbocharger, the cars develop a power of 777 hp. with.

Russian police: Lada 2107

In our country, unlike many other countries, there is no single police car. But the most common car, which is now used by various police departments, is the Vaz-2107. True, in large cities, domestic Ladas have long been replaced by various imported cars. So it is now rare to see police officers on the Vaz-2107 in large cities. More often than not, you will see the police at Ford Focuses.

While our "traffic cops" toil with "Ladas", their foreign colleagues ride such cars that any malicious violator speed mode envy. The fact is that from time to time, very, very cool cars fall from the lordly shoulder of the state or sponsors to the traffic police. Here are the best law enforcement vehicles from around the world.

Great Britain
There are plenty of small sports car manufacturers in the UK: BAC, Caparo, Caterham, Ariel, TVR, Ginetta and further down the list. And every second loves to drive here. No joke: Britain is almost the largest market sports cars in Europe! In such a situation, law enforcement officers simply need fast cars in order to keep up with the reckless drivers.

To pursue criminals on high speeds in the UK, there were local models - Lotus Evora and Exige. The first sports car is equipped with a 280-horsepower engine and can accelerate to a hundred in five seconds. In theory, this should have made any daredevil ponder - but, as it turned out, the police coupe turned out to be just a show car issued to policemen in Devonshire and Cornwall to intimidate the reckless drivers. He is taken to exhibitions, as if hinting: if anything, we will catch up, overtake and detain him.

But the 220-horsepower Exige, capable of changing the first hundred even faster (4.1 seconds), is a real patrol car used by the Sussex police. By the way, in order for the inspector to be able to get behind the wheel of such equipment, he will have to take a monthly driver's qualification improvement course. The “interceptor” has only one problem: it will not work to deliver the intruder to the police station - there are only two places, for the driver and partner.

Equally impressive technology is in Humberside - a "charged" sedan Lexus IS-F... Representatives of the local police carefully chose a replacement for the outdated Impreza, testing models similar to the Lexus throughout the year. As a result, it was decided that the IS-F ideally suits all the requirements of the cops, which, in general, is not surprising: a 423-strong four-door with an eight-band “automatic” “bullets” up to a hundred in just 4.7 seconds and stops accelerating at the mark at 270 kilometers per hour.

The police in Yorkshire and Essex are just a little worse "packed". The former have at their disposal 295-strong mitsubishi sedans Lancer Evolution X, accelerating to a hundred in 5.4 seconds, and the second hit several "hot" station wagons Ford focus ST last generation... Ford is equipped with a 250-horsepower turbocharged "four", which can accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.5 seconds.

Australia
If the UK is a country of one-off sports cars built in former cattle pens, Australia is a continent of huge, brutal eight-cylinder sedans from Ford and Holden. One such vehicle, the Ford Falcon GT, is the most powerful police car in Australia. If the engine output of a standard "Falcon" is 455 horsepower, then for law enforcement agencies the peak power of the "eight" was raised to 543 horsepower!

For the most part, such "Fords" were used to intimidate reckless youth - but, nevertheless, they could still participate in real pursuits and detentions. True, to pacify criminals in a car for 100 thousand dollars (total cost police car) - somehow blasphemous. Maybe they also feed steaks in their prisons?

An equally impressive sedan is the HSV ClubSport R8 SV-R. Four of these cars were prepared by the Holden factory for police officers in Queensland. The V8 engine on this four-door develops 441 horsepower - 24 more than the standard version of the ClubSport R8. In addition to the engine, the sedan's suspension has undergone tuning. It is a pleasure to catch dashing people on such a machine!

But, despite the presence in Australia of a great variety of its own "reloaded" models, the police of the state of New South Wales in the service was a patrol Porsche panamera with a 3.6-liter engine producing 300 horsepower. However, the big German hatchback is just a show-stopper, which is carried around various auto shows, saying: "If you drive, we'll change to real Porsches."

Italy
In Italy, even the police drive supercars! The "combat" Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 was presented to law enforcement officers by the company itself. The car is equipped with walkie-talkies, radars, medical supplies, a refrigerator for the transportation of organs for transplantation and other necessary things. And, unlike some of the models sounded above, this supercar actually patrolled the roads in southern and central Italy! Moreover, in addition to searching for "speedy" criminals, the car could be used as a very "ambulance".

Unfortunately, this one-of-a-kind patrol car was destroyed after a year of service. In the city of Cremona, while on patrol, a couple of police officers rammed several parked cars in a 560-strong coupe. According to the official version, law enforcement officers tried to avoid a collision by dodging the car that cut them off, which is why the accident happened. Or maybe they decided to twist the "pyataks"?

Slightly less cool car - Lotus Evora S - fell into the hands of the Italian military police - carabinieri. But there were two sports cars: one was made for Rome, the other for Milan. Like Lamborghini, the 350-horsepower sports car, which accelerates to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds, has a special refrigerator compartment for transporting organs and blood for transplantation and transfusion.

Finally, the Italian police have an Alfa Romeo 159 in the most powerful 260-horsepower modification, capable of accelerating to a hundred in less than eight seconds. Rather, there were - such "Alpha" served in the police for only two years. And then they broke, I guess.

Germany
The German is practically synonymous with the words "thoroughness" and "pedantry". These qualities were not spared by the local police, which for the most part drives diesel station wagons of German production. However, in Germany you can also find supercars in police livery. True, only at various tuning shows, to which the cops take cars of the Tune it program! Safe!

The goal of the program is to show young fans of speed and tuning that they need to modify cars only with high-quality components and with the participation of professionals. German policemen undertook to prove this thesis with the participation of a great many partners - the German auto club ADAC, the Hankook company, the association of German tuners and so on. Also, Tune It! Safe! invited to participate such giants of the tuning industry as Brabus, TechArt, AC Schnitzer and ABT.

The result of this joint work was seriously modified Porsche 911 Carrera S, Audi R8 GT R, BMW 1-Series and absolutely insane 730-horsepower four-door Brabus Rocket coupe, gaining the first “hundred” in just four seconds after the start! All, of course, are covered with police stickers. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), these cars do not take part in patrolling the autobahns, but simply ride from one tuning festival to another, surprising and frightening their visitors.

The German policemen also have "combat" fast models. For example, the latest generation BMW M5. No special changes were made to the "emka" in comparison with the civilian modification. And are they really needed? The 4.4-liter 560-horsepower turbo engine, which allows the sedan to accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in four and a half seconds, is more than enough for even the most demanding and zealous cops.

USA
Gasoline is inexpensive in the United States - so it's no surprise that local cops drive powerful V8 sedans or huge SUVs.

One of the most impressive technical point view - Chevrolet Caprice PPV. This sedan received a six-liter V-shaped "eight", which produces 360 horsepower and 521 Nm of torque! From zero to 96 kilometers per hour, such a "Caprice" accelerates in less than six seconds. For the police, Chevrolet has also prepared a simpler version with a 305-horsepower V6, but who can be interested in when there is a V8?

But Ford, which is a longtime supplier of special vehicles for the American police, has developed a separate model for cops - the Interceptor Sedan, in which an attentive eye will easily notice the latest generation Taurus. He even has a special "kenguryatnik" - with built-in flashing beacons! True, with engines from "Ford" it turned out not as cool as from "Chevy", but even here there are interesting options: atmospheric or turbocharged V6 engines with a capacity of 266 and 370 horsepower, respectively. A little less brutality, but the savings on fuel, they say, are significant.

But the coolest car of American cops is the Dodge Charger Pursuit. Not only will a criminal get wet while driving, but he also has a 5.7-liter V8 Hemi under the hood!
