How to change the oil in the DSG box. How to change the oil in the DSG box Oil change interval in the dsg 7 audi

SEAT Leon Copa Plus car. Bundle 1.8TSI + DSG7 + ABS + ESP + EBD.

Robotic transmission DSG-7, DQ200, 0AM, NTQ... We acquire an original transmission VAG oil, order code - G052512A2... The gearbox drain plug is unscrewed with a regular hexagon by 10.

Photo-1: DSG-7 in section.

If you could damage, then the plug code - N10037105. Both items are taken from the catalog by VIN number.

We spied on how to change the oil from Alexander Willwillis from Drive2.ru. He has everything clearly told and shown. A couple of additions from us. If you've never removed the case air filter, then clarify in advance how this is done. At 1.8 TSI, to remove it, you need to carefully pull up, because it sits tightly on two landing pins of the battery platform, and rubber dampers are located in the filter housing mounting holes. And one moment. We drained 1.7 liters of used oil from the DSG7 box, and filled in all 2 liters.

The oil change in DSG-7 was carried out at a mileage of 76,000 km. What made us do this? Doubts! Doubt that in the constantly contacting parts of the checkpoint technical liquid can work the entire life of the vehicle and keep its performance characteristics... 2 years of warranty - yes, the transmission oil is capable of working. So what is next? And if the car is used for 5-7 years? We think not. The gearbox oil is not able to work without losing its physical and chemical characteristics for such a long period. Therefore, they made a replacement. The result is below.

Photo-2: metal particles in waste oil from DSG7. Mileage 76 thousand km. Photo-3: again metal particles in waste oil from DSG7.
Photo-4: used oil color from DSG. The bottle stands in front of the sun's rays and does not shine through. Photo taken without flash. Photo-5: comparison of fresh and used DSG7 oil by color. Photo taken with flash.
Photo-6:comparison of fresh and used DSG7 oil by color. Photo taken without flash

Subjectively, we did not do the oil change procedure in vain. The box began to switch very gently, barely noticeable.

19.07.2016 After changing the oil in the gearbox, 4 months have passed and 6,000 km have been driven. During this time, no problems arose: there were no smudges, fogging due to the filling of 2 liters of oil, and there are no. The car was accelerated 1 time to 200 km. in hour.

Our conclusion: the oil in the mechanical part of the DSG-7 needs to be changed. How often? We believe that every 60 thousand km.

To change the oil in DSG 7, we only need a container for working out 5-6 liters, standard set instruments, a filling syringe and a tube with a diameter of 7-8 mm. What is nice is that during the replacement, we don't have to pump anything, squeeze out anything, the work is almost the same as with a conventional manual transmission, with the exception of a few nuances.

And yet, when replacing, we will not remove either the starter, or the battery, or the platform for the battery. The only thing that will need to be dismantled is the engine protection. But a child can handle it too. If everything is ready, we can start replacing:

  1. After removing the protection, thoroughly clean the Mechatronic unit from dirt.
  2. Turn off the drain plug with a 5 hexagon.

  3. We substitute a container (about a liter) under the Mechatronic unit.
  4. We drain all the liquid from the control unit.

  5. We twist the drain plug into place.
  6. Now we clean the drain plug already on the gearbox.

  7. Unscrew the cork with a 10 hexagon, substituting a container of about two liters.

  8. Let's wait until all the oil drains from the checkpoint.

  9. We measure the amount of drained oil, since no control hole is provided.
  10. We tighten the gearbox oil drain plug.

  11. Now pour oil into the Mechatronic control unit.

  12. Remove the plastic breather on the control unit from under the hood. It is located near the starter.
  13. To do this, use a 16 key. Place the key under the breather and, like a lever, remove it from the hole.
  14. We put a hose with a diameter of 8 mm on the breather fitting, pour a liter of oil G004 000 M2 into the syringe and pump oil into the mechatronic with smooth movements of the piston.

  15. If no filling syringe is available, a 150 cc medical syringe or any other device can be used. We put the breather in place.

  16. Now fill in the oil in the gearbox. We will also do this through the breather hole. To make it easier to get to it, we transfer the gearbox control selector to the Parking mode.

  17. Remove the plastic breather by hand.

  18. We put the same 8-mm hose on the breather fitting, fill the syringe with exactly the same amount of oil as we drained and pump it into the gearbox. After that, we put the breather in place.

Thus, you can quickly change the oil in the box. DSG transmission 7 and the Mechatronic control unit on the Skoda Octavia A7. Good luck to all of your work and reliable boxes gear!

The DSG gearbox type 0CW (DQ200) has two separate oil fillings. One for transmission oil and the other for hydraulic oil. The 0CW gearbox oil level and the mechatronics hydraulic oil level cannot be checked. The correct oil level can only be achieved by draining the old oil and refilling with new oil!

Manual for vehicles with DSG type 0CW / 0AM.

Transmission oil
7-speed dual clutch DSG- 0CW has two separate oil fillings. One for the area with gear oil - arrow A- and the other for the area with hydraulic oil - arrow B-.

For 7-speed gearbox with double clutch only use replacement gear oil and 0CW hydraulic oil see e-catalog original spare parts.
Gearbox oil level - arrow A- as well as the hydraulic oil level in mechatronics - arrow B- cannot be verified. The correct oil level can only be achieved by draining the old oil and refilling with new oil.

Adapter VAS 6262/6
Oil drain pan

The gear oil for the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission 0CW is permanently filled (oils are designed for life). For this reason, the oil level is not checked and there is no inspection plug on this transmission.

In the event of a transmission leak, the cause must be determined and the problem rectified.
The correct oil level in the gearbox can only be achieved by draining the old oil and then filling the gearbox with new oil in the specified amount. See DSG 0CW filling volumes.

Draining transmission oil
- Raise the vehicle.
- Place a pallet under the gearbox.
- Unscrew the oil drain plug on the gearbox (arrow).

Drain the oil.
- Install the oil drain plug.

Filling with gear oil
The prescribed amount of oil must be strictly observed - the gearbox will only be filled correctly if this has been done.
Overflow as well as underfilling worsen correct work gearboxes.

New oil is filled through the air outlet.
If the transmission is on a vehicle, depending on the model and engine, the air filter or battery with battery tray must be removed when filling the transmission with oil.

Remove air filter
- Remove the battery and battery tray
- Remove the cover from the air outlet.

Install the VAS 6262/4 adapter on the VAS 6262A adapter.

Before screwing the adapter VAS 6262A onto the oil distributor, measure the length of the tube (dimension -a-) and, if necessary, shorten the tube of the adapter to dimension -a-: 210 mm.
Dimension -a- is measured from the shaft (green area in the illustration) of the oil filling adapter VAS 6262A.

Note: Shake the oil bottle well before opening to mix any deposits on the bottom of the oil bottle. Use only gear oil for 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox DSG - 0CW to fill, see Electronic Genuine Parts Catalog.

Screw the oil bottle onto the VAS 6262 A adapter.

If the thread of the oil distributor does not match the thread of the adapter VAS 6262 A, the adapter VAS 6262/6 must be used.

Remove the adapter from the transmission after refueling.
- Wipe the area around the air outlet with a cloth.
- Place on the ventilation cover.
- Install the battery tray and battery
- Install the air filter.

Funnel

Note: There is a risk of damage to the mechatronics of the J743 dual clutch gearbox. For mechatronics, only hydraulic oil available in spare parts can be used, see Electronic Genuine Parts Catalog. Other hydraulic oils will cause malfunctions and / or damage to the transmission. The hydraulic oil level cannot be checked.

If hydraulic oil is lost from the mechatronics, the correct oil level can only be set by changing the oil. During installation works the mechatronics must be hermetically sealed.
Insufficient hydraulic oil and overfilling affect the operation of the mechatronics, which can lead to malfunctions.

Condition:
Mechatronic must be removed

Draining hydraulic oil

Remove oil filler screw -arrow-.
Replace the filler screw after removal.

Remove vent cover - arrow - if not already done.

The vent cover of the mechatronics is destroyed when removed and must be replaced, see Electronic Genuine Parts Catalog.
When turning the mechatronics, oil is drained from both the oil hole and the vent hole. For this reason, the mechatronics should be positioned so that both holes are above the oil collection pan.
Switch on the mechatronics and let the hydraulic oil drain completely.

Filling with hydraulic oil
Fill with new hydraulic oil only after all mechatronics repair work has been completed.
After completely draining the hydraulic oil, return the mechatronic to its original position.
The filler hole points up.

Insert funnel

Shake the hydraulic oil bottle thoroughly before filling.
- Fill with the specified amount of hydraulic oil.
- Install a new oil filler plug.
Install mechatronic

Tightening torques see above
Note. Replace bolts / nuts that are tightened with an angle of rotation, and replace required components after removal.

Modern cars have a complex structure. This applies not only to engines, but also boxes. Previously, automakers practiced only two transmissions - a mechanic and an automatic. New checkpoints have appeared today. One of these is robotic DSG box... It is installed on cars of the Volkswagen - Audi concern and has a special device (with two clutches and a two-mass flywheel).

You need to understand that oil change in DSG has some differences from classic boxes. What technology is this operation performed using? What kind of oil to pour into the DSG box? DSG and much more - further in the article.

Regulations

You should always follow the rules. Oil (whether it be engine oil or transmission oil) is always consumable and sooner or later falls into disrepair. Over time, the liquid loses its color and lubricating properties.

This negatively affects the resource of the box. Therefore, in order to keep the car in good condition, you should change the oil in the DSG mechatronics on time. Experts recommend doing this procedure once every sixty thousand kilometers. But if the machine is used in extreme conditions (frequent traffic jams or very coldy), given time should be reduced to forty thousand kilometers.

What to pour and how much?

Many people want to know what kind of oil to fill in DSG. Dealer recommends using original product"VAG" G052182A2. However, its cost is more than a thousand rubles per liter. Therefore, many people prefer analogs.

So, Pentosin FFl-2 oil has proven itself well. it transmission fluid German production, which costs 300 rubles less than the original "Vagovskaya". However, when changing the oil in the DSG, these two fluids should not be mixed. If previously used in the box original oil, in the future it is better to use it.

Now it's worth talking about volume. How much oil should there be in the DSG box? The filling volume is seven liters. But if it is a DSG 7 with a dry clutch, the volume is less - 1.9 liters.

note

In addition to new oil, you also need to purchase for replacement:

Only then can the oil in the DSG be changed.

Get to work

So, first you need to drive the car to inspection pit... Then you should turn off the engine, having previously set the gearbox selector to the "parking" mode. After that, unscrew the drain plug of the box pallet. To do this, you need an 8mm Allen key. Prepare an empty container for old oil with a capacity of about five liters. It is advisable to keep it clean (you need to determine if there are chips in the old fluid). After draining the old oil, tighten the plug and inspect the condition of the fluid. If metal particles are found, increased wear of the box elements can be stated. Such a checkpoint may be unstable.

After that you need to get to oil filter... He is above. To get it, you will have to dismantle the battery and the platform for it.

If access is difficult, you can also remove the air filter housing with pipes. Then unscrew the cover two turns and allow the remaining oil to drain into the crankcase. Then unscrew the cover completely and replace the filter element.

What then?

After that, you need to fill in new fluid. Some people add it directly to the body of a new filter, but it is long and difficult (a liter is filled in for ten minutes). Therefore, it is better to find an adapter that is screwed in instead of the oil drain plug. You also need a 10 mm hose (it is important that it is transparent). The length of the hose is about two meters. Its second end is pulled over the throat of a narrow funnel, which is attached above engine compartment.

Then start the engine. Warm up the box. To do this, switch the gearbox selector to different modes. The oil should warm up to 45 degrees. If liquid was poured at room temperature, the box should warm up in three to five minutes.

At the next stage, the knob is unscrewed and a bottle of oil is installed instead of it (usually the liquid is sold in liters, so take it). Place this bottle on the floor so that it is below the level of the transmission. In this case, excess liquid will drain through the transparent tube. As soon as the jet decreases to drops, the adapter is unscrewed and the oil drain plug is screwed on. Previously, the seal is changed on it.

Please note that you only need to tighten the plug after changing the oil in the DSG by hand. After that, with the engine running, you need to switch modes again with a delay of five seconds. Then return the lever to the "parking" mode (the engine will not shut off). Unscrew the plug again. If the oil runs off, you need to wait for the excess to go away. Then you can tighten the plug and start full-fledged operation.

Nuances

The most difficult part of this procedure is determining the exact temperature of the transmission oil. Specialists have a special device for this, which is connected via a diagnostic connector. But when replacing with their own hands, they can cope without it. The main thing is to remember that optimum temperature to check the oil level - from 35 to 45 degrees Celsius.

It is worth remembering that both an excess and a lack of oil are harmful for a robotic transmission. The level should be medium.

How to change the oil for a "dry" DSG 7?

The sequence of work on a seven-speed box:

  1. The protection is removed, which covers the checkpoint.
  2. The drain plug is unscrewed.
  3. The old oil is drained.
  4. The remaining oil is pumped out with a syringe or by jacking up the machine in the area of the left front wheel.
  5. The drain plug is screwed on.
  6. The protection is put in place.

Liquid is poured through a plastic breather (it is black and is located on the plastic cover of the DSG lock mechanism). You can remove the cover completely, but this also requires removing the battery or air filter housing. Next, 1.9 liters of new fluid are poured. After that, the replacement procedure can be considered complete.

If this operation is performed in winter, the transmission should be pre-warmed up. Better to do a little trip. This will make the oil less viscous and will drain faster from the gears and shafts inside the transmission. In the summer, you can do without preheating. The liquid already at +20 degrees Celsius has a normal viscosity.

Conclusion

So, now you know how to change the oil for robotic box... As you can see, this operation can be done with your own hands.

Question 002:
Q: How do I know which box is installed on my car?
A: Option 1: Connect the diagnostic device to the vehicle, enter block 02 - Gearbox electronics and read the identification data. The first three characters of the box ID and mechatronics designate your box.
For example: 0AM 300049H is a seven-speed DSG with dry clutches of the 0AM type. Or 02E 300051R - six-speed DSG with wet clutches type 02E, etc.
Option 2: Look by the VIN-code of the car in the electronic spare parts catalog ETKA.
Option 3: Send the VIN-code of the car to our address, we will check and send you an answer.

Question 005:
Q:What is mechatronics?
A:Mechatronic (mechatronic, mechatron, valve body, brain) - electronic-hydraulic gearbox control unit. Perhaps the most important, but at the same time, the most unreliable component in the entire transmission.

Question 006:
Q:What is the difference between mechatronics?
A:
Each type of DSG has its own type of mechatronics. Mechatronics from different DSG types are not interchangeable. Moreover, for some types of DSG, there are several generations of mechatronics that also differ from each other. And for each type and generation of mechatronics, there are many versions of the software, designed for different engines and different gear ratios in the gearbox. In some cases, mechatronics of the same type can be reprogrammed (reflash) to be installed on different cars... You can read more about the firmware.

Question 007:
Q:Which DSG is better / more reliable?
A:
There is no definite answer to this question. Each type of DSG has its own advantages and disadvantages. And the duration of the "life" of any DSG largely depends on the conditions of its operation, such as:
- Temperature the environment... All DSGs do not like overheating, especially DSGs with "dry" clutches, in which the mechatronics has a separate oil circuit and there is no cooling
;
- Driving mode. Those who spend several hours every day in traffic jams have more chances to come to replace mechatronics than those who mainly travel long distances along the highway;
- Driving style. Those who like to "give a corner" and "light up at a traffic light" have a much higher chance of getting a replacement clutch and differential than those who prefer a quiet ride.

Question 008:
Q: I have DSG7 0AM.Do I need to switch the selector to neutral when standing at a traffic light or in a traffic jam?
A: No need.
Unlike conventional manual gearboxes, the clutch on the DSG7 0AM is normally open. And it closes only when the mechatronic begins to extend the clutch release rods. When you (or autohold) hold the car in place by pressing the brake, the mechatronics clutch rods are retracted and the clutches are open. Accordingly, no load is transferred to the gearbox or clutch. In what position the selector knob is in this case - it does not matter.

Question 009:
Q: Over time, there were jerks when changing gears. Previously, the car drove fine, shifting was smooth, but recentlyjerks and shocks appeared when shifting gears. Can this be fixed by reprogramming the box ECU (software update)?
A: No, you can't. The software cannot "deteriorate" over time and cause the CP to malfunction. If the car previously drove correctly, and then stopped, then the problem lies in the hardware, and not in the software.
Reprogramming mechatronics can only help if the mechatronics was changed and a block with an incorrect software... You can read more about reprogramming.

Question 010:
Q:How to find out the software version in mechatronics?
Question 011:
Q: DSG7 shift knob is locked in position P, how to unlock it in order to shiftbox to neutral?
A: Brief instructions for unlocking the DSG7 0AM selector.

Question 012:
Q: Will changing the oil in mechatronics DSG7 0AM (0CW) help to remove the "kicks" on gear changes?
A: No, it won't help. Such malfunctions are eliminated by repairing the hydraulic part of the mechatronics. In the initial stages, adaptation (basic setting) can help, but rather as an exception than a rule.

Question 014:
Q: After replacing the DSG7 0AM mechatronics, the errors "06247 P1867 - Drive data bus no messages from the steering column electronics - J527" and "06227 P1853 Drive data bus implausible message from the ABS control unit" are displayed in the event logger. How do I remove them?
A:It is necessary to reset the information about the installed components (steering column switches, electric parking brake, etc.). To do this, you need to make a basic installation on channel 69. After performing the basic installation, errors will change from the "permanent" state to the "sporadically" state and you can delete them.

When using VCDS software (VAG-COM, Vasya-Diagnostic, etc.):
"02-Gearbox electronics" -> "Basic parameters - 04" -> In the "Group" field enter the value 69 -> Press "Read".

When using softwareVAS-PC:
"Self-diagnosis" ->
"02-Gearbox electronics" -> "006-Basic setting"-> In the "Group" field enter the value 69 -> Press "Q".

When using softwareODIS:
"Self-diagnosis" ->"02-Electronics KP" ->"Basic Installation" ->Enter value 69 -> Press "Channel selection".

After the basic installation, the event recorder must be cleaned.

Question 015:
Q:Structurally, DSG7 0AM and DSG7 0CW are almost identical transmissions (DQ200 family), is there any difference between the mechatronics installed on them?
A:
The main difference is the physical and software changes to the electronic control board. In particular, 0CW boards are tied to the vehicle immobilizer system. You can read more about the differences in mechatronics 0AM and 0CW.
