And the interior of the new Mercedes-AMG hybrid hypercar is simply spartan compared to the chic interior of the two-door Bugatti coupe. What is the trick of the novelty for which the manufacturer wants such a lot of money?
The answer is simple and concise. The Mercedes-AMG Project One Coupé is built with Formula 1 technology and is a road-adaptable 2015 Mercedes-AMG F1 W06 Hybrid royal race car ... fantastic, isn't it ?!

The car is incredibly beautiful, but the car body was not created for beauty contests, but taking into account the achievement of the lowest possible indicator aerodynamic drag... There are huge front and side air intakes, an active splitter, opening flaps on the tops of the front fenders, an electronically controlled spoiler ... in a word, all the aerodynamic elements are innumerable. At the front, Project One has two more electric motors that can serve as a driving force on the energy stored in battery pack; on electric traction, the hypercar will be able to travel up to 30 kilometers.
As for the transmission, it will be an eight-speed "robot".
It is assumed that the weight of the Mercedes-AMG Project One will be about 1,300 kilograms, and the power of the power plant will exceed a thousand Horse power, that is, the ratio of hp to the mass will be more than the Bugatti Chiron.

But Mercedes-AMG Project ONE is not only a frantic eater of supercars, who got on the road by someone's clearly deliberate mistake. It's also a rechargeable hybrid. If necessary, he can drive in complete silence up to 25 km without starting the internal combustion engine.

On electric traction alone, such a car is capable of traveling 25 km. From this, of course, it is clear that electric motors here only for better traction, economy - needed on the track (for fewer refills in racing conditions), not for real economy.
This is an amazing, very bright and extraordinary car. While this is not a series yet, and after the demonstration of the production car, we will definitely return to it. And of course, the time that this car will show at the Nurburgring is very interesting.
