Testimonials

The main thing is clearance! I stopped looking closely at every pebble on the road. Larger wheels add comfort when driving on rough roads. I don't have to look out from behind the wheel onto the road (even with my rather big height). Pleased when going out into the nature - even on the front drive you can drive where the road was previously closed.

A little more detail about the expense, since it worries many. We can say that he pleases. It all depends on the driving style of the particular driver, the season and where you have to drive. The first three thousand winter (though in our area last winter was warm) the flow rate was 9.4-9 liters per hundred city-highway about 50:50. It seemed a lot, but spring came, the run-in ended and the flow rate dropped to 8 liters.

There are several reasons to forget about dynamic driving. Somewhat dissatisfied with the automatic transmission algorithm. During long climbs (or overtaking), you almost always have to use manual mode, since the machine turns on early downshift and then, apart from the roar of the engine, there is little sense.

In general, I like the car. Despite the simple interior and average appearance, Hyundai Greta is one of those that are larger inside than outside (thanks to the designers), while not annoying even with small jambs. And ... This is a car rather for the city, for traffic jams, for a leisurely drive. Such a workhorse for every day.

Vladimir, a review about Hyundai Greta 1.6 on a front-wheel drive machine.

I drove at night in normal conditions without rain, without bumping and splashing headlights - the light on Crete is very weak. This is the first problem. The second - the car (in my opinion) is light, holds the road in principle, but due to poor lighting it flew into a frozen roadside track, it's good that there was a low speed, pulls off and jumps. The feeling of an unbalanced car is present, maybe it's a matter of habit, I don't know.

At low speeds in the snow, this ease, even in a thrill, paddles normally and skids a little, if you add, but stabilization, in principle, keeps it without steering interference. It works quite often. The engine is not particularly run-in, but it gave heat when overtaking. Frankly, the engine is weak. Maybe for now.

The machine heats up quickly and efficiently. I put 23 in the book, and forgot (climate). True, with frosts in minus 20-30, it tightens the windows when driving for a long distance, you turn it on to normal mode, it passes. We'll see how the condo and climate will work in the summer. The ergonomics of the cabin is generally normal. The doors do not close the first time, maybe from frost.

Owner review of Hyundai Creta 2.0 with automatic and all-wheel drive

Where could I buy?

In the first week, there was a knock in the trunk, did not find it until I got everything out of the trunk, including the shelves and the spare wheel. Found clatter in the trunk lock ... I turned to the dealer, pulled up - corrected.

The second week, the next day after visiting the dealer, the tire pressure sensor caught fire, checked that the pressure was normal. I drove a couple of days more - I again clinked the trunk lock and gradually stopped closing from the first, second or fifth time. I visited the dealer, changed the lock, did something with the tire pressure sensors, the lamp stopped burning

At a run of 1,300 km, the consumption gradually decreased from run-in 18-20 to 10.2 on the highway at 100/120 and to 12-14 in the city. And yes, guys, this is 95 G drive)) Mileage 4,000 km, no more problems.

Of the cons Hyundai creta I note that both the engine and the interior quickly cool down, not tightness - it comes through from the windows when closed, when reclining the seats, the blowing in the trunk is very noticeable, a lot of crickets, the trunk lock clicks in the cold, traffic safety on the highway is low - it throws it out of the rut directly,
there is no lumbar support - the back gets tired after 400 km of the track, the audio is very mediocre, it is treated with a minimum of head replacement.

Nikita, a review about Hyundai Creta 2.0 with a front-wheel drive automatic machine.

123 forces are quite enough for city driving, it is stupid to expect any unrealistic acceleration rates from an urban crossover. In conditions of driving with smooth acceleration on the streets, this engine is enough for the eyes. The 6-speed mechanics turned out to be cool and comfortable - short travel, precise shifting and electronic assistants do their job.

It turns out that you seem to be on the manual transmission, and the car still does not give full control over itself, but to call it a minus is complete nonsense. You just sit down and drive, getting used to everything in a matter of minutes. The only thing to get used to is the electronic gas pedal, the delay of which is felt for about a second.

Well, the appearance, it is defined for each in its own way. For example, I really like her. Strong and dashing silhouette in a small body. Although, by the way, there is a lot of space inside the car, both in front and in the back - I still don't understand how they were able to achieve such a result.

Review from the owner Hyundai Creta 1.6 on the mechanics

Video review about Hyundai Creta

The suspension is moderately stiff. In my memory, of the crossovers with a similar wheelbase, the softest is Qashqai, the hardest is the Suzuki Grand Vitara. Creta is somewhere in the middle. The suspension is not very elastic (like the Tiguan), but not flabby (like the previous Hyundai). Small bumps go well, speed bumps are not very good if you go at a speed of more than 30 km / h. Large holes depending on speed. On small - normal, medium.

The steering wheel of Kreta obeys well, does not heel - the handling is at the average level of C-class cars of the Focus type, which is very good. The steering wheel itself is light, at speed it becomes heavier, but non-linear, i.e. already at low speed it becomes quite heavy. It is light only in the parking lot and when driving at speeds up to 10 km / h. Noise isolation is average, very quiet at low speeds, then mediocre.

The engine follows the gas pedal well up to 60-80 km / h. Then he starts to dull. Above 100-120 km / h it is already starting to howl. The box, again up to these speeds, works just fine. All this points to the urban essence of the car - it is good to drive it on urban roads of average lousy and not too fast. Ideal for Moscow and the region.

Salon design, dashboard simple but cute. Like all Hyundai, Creta has a very good appetite. The track is 9 liters, the city with traffic jams and warming up - 13 liters. Well, this is a fee for an atmospheric engine, vigorous starts from a traffic light and classic machine - you can't go anywhere. The brakes are again average - not sharp, but informative, though somewhere from the middle of the brake pedal travel.

The build quality of the car is normal, but the disease with the closing of the fifth door is present - you have to slam hard. I really do not recommend refueling 92 and saving on engine oil (take Total Quartz) - because of this, seizures in the cylinders may appear in two-liter engines.

Review of the owner of Hyundai Greta 1.6 automatic transmission with front-wheel driveohm

Better, of course, late than never. Sub compact crossover Hyundai was needed for a long time, and if it appeared a year earlier, it could already bring the company more than one million dollars in profit. They were waiting for Creta, and she arrived, having had time to start selling in India and China before us. Is this purely a marketing product? Perhaps not - if you handle this car skillfully, you can strike a couple of sparks from it.

With an accusatory slant

If so, then it will catch fire or fade away in the spurs of Altai. An exemplary journalistic investigation is taking place where the plain gives way to a picturesque gorge cut by the turquoise waters of the Katun River. The Hyundai Creta compact crossover is still not to blame for anything, but it raises a lot of suspicion among the public, in all respects.

And yet, despite the four-hour difference with Moscow, common sense overrides the half-asleep consciousness. It is hard not to notice that Creta, despite all its “globality”, is something interesting, and above all - in terms of design.

The styling of the car seems suspiciously familiar to me. A typical European, but what does he look like? You can throw stones, but it came to mind first Mercedes GLK, only fairly reduced and in a special reading. The second, thanks to the shape of the front window frames, is the Skoda Fabia.

Of course, such associations are not a dogma ... Everyone will find their own, but Crete's emotionality will still not diminish. There are practically no smooth contours and slickness in it, but there are characteristic, immediately memorable signs. For example, headlights and rear optics of identical shapes with a pronounced "make-up" eyeliner on the outside, barely widened wheel arches with plastic protection extending to the sills. It is complemented by graceful door trims. Everything else is a combination of faces of different sizes and configurations, from which a very attractive image was formed.

Reckoning is indispensable

As is often the case, the manufacturer presented cars for the test in the maximum, out of three possible, versions - Comfort. For information: there is also a completely "empty" Start and a slightly more "packaged" Active. The latter - with air conditioning and heated steering wheel, but without the possibility of ordering a proprietary audio system with a touch screen even for a surcharge - you will probably have to re-install some non-original from dealers (which not everyone will like). In general, the configurations are arranged in such a way that "full stuffing" will certainly be in demand, and our test-drive of the top-end version is for once not divorced from consumer reality.

A storehouse of revelations

I don't know what impression I would have of the Creta's starting interior, but the one on the top does not disappoint at all. Its style repeats one-to-one the exterior: the chopped lines of the front panel, from the visor of a perfectly readable dashboard with large dials and an information LCD display between them to an optional multimedia unit, also covered with a small sun visor, under which a strip of electronic clock is built. From this deliberate relief, emphasized by powerful vertical air duct deflectors framed in brushed aluminum, only the climatic unit with a pair of control wheels and five additional keys is slightly knocked out.

There are a minimum of keys and buttons, which is quite rational for a small, but not cramped cabin. But they were placed not only ergonomically, but also thoughtfully designed. For example, the mini-block for adjusting the mirrors found a place on the insert in the upright door panel handle. Cool and convenient solution.

At the same time, as in the rest hyundai models, door trim thickness is kept to a minimum. Therefore, the width of the cabin of 1,387 mm at the front shoulder is quite sufficient even for two full-bodied men. There are no complaints about height either: my 185 cm is not at all critical for a comfortable fit while driving, besides, the range of seat adjustment both longitudinally and vertically is enough for the eyes. How can we not remember the main competitor of Creta - which, despite its external impressiveness, turns out to be quite close ...

The only pity is that with all the comfort of the profiled backrest, the Creta seat cushion is short, and there is no way to compensate for the lack of its angle of inclination. If you come to terms with this, then getting comfortable behind the wheel is not a problem. In particular, due to the huge range of steering wheel adjustment for reach, which, like many other things, is not provided for in the lower trim levels.

1 / 2

2 / 2

The desire of my colleagues to quickly try on the driver's seat turns me to the role of a passenger - but you certainly cannot call it unenviable. True, the distance from the head to the ceiling is slightly less than in front, and only two people are comfortable on the sofa. The revelation was that with the front seats fully pushed back, my knees did not touch the backs! And this despite the fact that the Creta wheelbase of 2,590 mm is inferior to that of the Duster (2 673 mm) and Kaptur (2 674 mm). Well, there are absolute values, and there are realities of life.

Trunk volume

402/1 387 liters

You can criticize the trunk volume of 402 liters, but a suitcase or two, plus a backpack, will fit into it. And much more for a city car? In contrast to my opponents, I unfold the backs of the chairs in a few seconds - you will get your 1387 liters for seedlings, bicycles and other things in the beach and summer season. If that's not enough, there are hidden compartments near the full-size spare wheel under the raised floor. You need even more - perch on the roof, which will not spoil the appearance one iota. After all, this is a small crossover and not cargo van... Of course, in pre-crisis times, but who already remembers this ...

1 / 3

2 / 3

3 / 3

The start on a 123-horsepower "mechanics" turned out to be completely predictable, because the curb weight of Crete (1,345 kg) is almost 200 kilograms more than that of Solaris (1,154 kg), and the motors are the same. However, the car does not show itself to be an outright weakling, especially on a flat road. But for normal dynamics, the engine must be turned at least up to 2800 rpm, especially if the car is loaded and the ascent to the mountains has begun.

It has become harder to overtake, you have to switch more often, but 6 gears are a frank blessing, and they click easily and very accurately. Of course, if you discard the desire to win five to ten minutes over a hundred kilometers, the engine does not cause any special complaints. In addition, like the 2.0-liter, which awaits me a little later, it willingly digests 92nd gasoline, which is important, and the consumption does not go beyond 7-plus liters per hundred.

The 123-horsepower front-wheel drive "Creta" is handled extremely pleasantly. Firstly, the multifunctional steering wheel, in our case with an electric booster, pleased with a small stroke - 2.8 revolutions from lock to lock and a pronounced "zero". Quite light at the moment the engine was started, it was filled with effort in the first second of movement, and remained so, according to the first impression, regardless of speed.

Hyundai creta
Consumption per 100 km

Secondly, in the 1.6-liter mono drive version rear suspension not multi-link, as in the front- or all-wheel drive "two-liter", but semi-independent, with a torsion beam. The simple and inexpensive scheme has its own buzz. Both with and without a load from the rear, the car steers without any special rolls, without making the stabilization system nervous, but for serious off-road conditions, the suspension moves are already too short.

Fuel tank volume

And if you still wander onto the boulder-strewn coast of the Katun? Alas, such a wild beach is of little use for a 1.6-liter engine with a manual gearbox. Light and comfortable on the asphalt, the grip on such a surface turned out to be weak. It is almost impossible to get under way without scorching the disc due to the forced increase in revs at the start (oh, there would be a little more moment in the bottom).

All right, give the two-liter 149-strong version! Let's compare.

Full program

It was not possible to find any differences in the cabin, with the exception of the “automatic” selector covered with leather, in the top in all parameters and reinforced with three “packages” version of Creta. Is that the 2-liter Nu series turned out to be a little more noisy on idlingthan the small 1.6 Gamma. I was so carried away by the study of technical sounds that I completely forgot about music. But it is, and not bad, about six speakers and a USB-input. Well, Vysotsky and Farewell to the Mountains with authentic lows and natural hoarseness? Yes, that's right, but it's too early to part with Altai.

If with the base engine and front-wheel drive all my desires did not always correspond to the possibilities, then on a powerful four-wheel drive car they simply have to be fulfilled. Of course, I will not rush to storm Belukha - the highest local point of Altai, but why not stop by the gentle hills, velvety from forbs, which are more than enough in the vicinity?

The most picturesque ones, with heights of 1,000 meters, are 150 miles away. Little things, unless it suddenly turns out that on a high-speed, albeit winding, road, the stiffness of the steering wheel is not always a sign of perfected handling. Constantly steering in fast turns I did not like at all, and the howl of the tandem of the engine and gearbox at more than 4000 rpm did not add to the pleasure. Not very pleasant facts, although compensation for them was not long in coming.

Curb weight

Altai primers are mostly stony, therefore four-wheel drive justified only on steep climbs, where it is important not to slip on smooth gravel. There are almost no rutted tracks with mud in the mountains, and 190 mm of ground clearance, engine power and torque of 192 Nm at 4,200 rpm are enough for the eyes.
Crete did not introduce any innovations into the transmission, leaving everything as it is with Tucson and his fellow tribesmen. It got rid of overheating several years ago thanks to an electro-hydraulic control drive, and taking into account the weight of the compact crossover, it works in automatic mode faster and more efficiently.

Climbing after the Niva on a more than 30-degree slope turned out to be quite a real thing. Nevertheless, after a couple of tens of meters, I prefer to block the clutch with a button - the climb is too steep. Fixed thrust along the axles in a 50:50 ratio is simply necessary on it. Further - the manual mode of the automatic transmission and the disabled stabilization system. Another minute and ... here it is, the peak. But going downhill is much more scary, even with the "Descent Assistant" on. Alas, 10 km / h on such an incline is already a lot, and step braking is indispensable. Creta seems to have passed the toughest test of its life ...

Even a dug-out mowed field with stubble, on which the body did not creak and the interior panels did not squeak, seems like child's play. The suspension also withstood, breaking through only once from the front, but the rear multi-link turned out to be much stronger than the MacPherson struts. Compared to the design of Creta's twin, the Hyundai ix25 for China, it has been reinforced with springs and almost vertical dampers with reduced valve sections. However, the whole system was borrowed from - of course, with modifications. And if a few years ago almost all owners complained about the excessive softness of the Hyundai chassis, then Creta in this regard will hardly disappoint anyone.

***

So what's the bottom line? As already noted, Creta does not like high speeds and sharp maneuvers. The crossover was not sharpened for them, but they taught how to ride in "civil modes" correctly, I would say - academic. At the same time, the car was also made truly modern and comfortable. How reliable, only time will tell. But already now Renault-Nissan with their crossovers on the B0 platform, and at the same time Ford with EcoSport and Peugeot since 2008 is worth thinking hard. There were more than enough sparks in Creta.

For all its novelty, Hyundai Creta, aka ix25, was not created from scratch. And it is clearly not only a design idea that explains the fact that the configuration of the front pillars and door frames one-to-one copies the Kia Soul - it is obvious that the entire front frame of the two models is unified as much as possible, although the outer panels of Crete are original. The front platform module is also almost identical, because the McPherson suspension on a subframe, disc brakes and steering mechanisms (with hydraulic or electric booster, depending on the modification) - common to all compact models Hyundai-Kia, including Elantra / i30 and Cerato / cee’d, the differences are only in the settings. Here is the back at the very small crossover Hyundai has its own: in order to obtain an all-wheel drive modification, the Koreans used a slightly modified multi-link suspension from the "senior" Tucson / Sportage with an electro-hydraulic friction clutch Magna Dynamax, which required an increase in the "soul" wheelbase by two centimeters. And the semi-independent suspension of the mono-drive version had to be "tightened up in geometry": the elongated trailing arms and other attachment points of the "high" shock absorbers improved the off-road kinematics. Tucson and Elantra also shared the base 1.6-liter engine for the Russian specification (a 1.4-liter version is also offered in other markets) with Creta. This is an aluminum 16-valve G4FC unit with chain driven The timing belt, which belongs to the Gamma family, like the Solaris engine, but that has a simplified version with a phase shifter only at the inlet, and here there are two. This does not give an increase in power, a small gain is only in efficiency, and modifications with direct injection The G4FD gasoline that the Soul is equipped with is not required for the Crete as a more budget model, not to mention the turbocharged G4FJ, which serves as the top engine for Tucson. Here it was given to the atmospheric two-liter "four" of the Nu family, also with phase shifters at the inlet and outlet, a timing chain and multipoint injection configurable intake manifold... With such motors, the same Tucson is sold in Russia, and new Elantra, and the more solid i40.

Of course, "all-end" and gearboxes - a six-speed manual M6CF1, combined only with a 1.6-liter unit, and "automatic" A6MF2, aggregated with both engines. Six-speed hydromechanical gearbox own development Hyundai-Kia in various modifications in terms of the amount of transmitted torque is installed on many models, from the same Solaris to large crossover grand Santa Fe. By the way, Cretu is also related to the latter by the fact that, regardless of the engine and transmission, it has disc brakes on all wheels.

You will love the Hyundai Creta if:

  • You are a fan of the compact style with generous content;
  • You are driving under traffic rules;
  • You are still in the throes of choosing a compact crossover.

You don't like Hyundai Creta if:

  • You know what handling on a track is;
  • You are not willing to pay for options;
  • You just don't like Hyundai.

Ready to get the Hyundai Creta?

It is customary for us to say: pay attention to the advantages, and then you will not notice the shortcomings. Today we will break this concept and talk about the cons of the Hyundai Creta. But, first, let's imagine general information about the car. So, the Korean crossover is equipped with two gasoline engines 1.6 and 2.0 liters, working with a six-speed "mechanics" or "automatic". As for the type of drive, all modifications are equipped with a front one and only the top-end one is full.

Reasons for popularity

Before proceeding to the disadvantages of the Hyundai Creta, we will find out how the car gained rapid popularity in the global market. First of all, we note modern design interior and stylish exterior. All this is diluted with high-quality filling and a high-tech security system. Next, we proceed directly to the cons of Hyundai Creta.

Exterior

The first thing that catches your eye in the exterior of the car is the discrepancy between the exterior style of the promised conceptual concept. Pay attention to any part of the car - a clear resemblance to Santa Fe, Tussan and Accent. Perhaps this is a disadvantage at all, but we considered plagiarism to be more negative than positive.

On any Greta forum, you can often find complaints that the car is "blind". This concerns the light of the head optics, the brightness of which is insufficient. The main reason is low quality halogen lights. LEDs are offered only in the top-end version.

The lower part of the body is not at all protected from corrosion. Apparently the developers have forgotten that they promised to galvanize the body. This drawback forces motorists to spend a lot of money on body repairs, because rust spreads at a cosmic speed.

Overly delicate bumpers raise many questions. This diminishes the confidence when parking the car. Even the rubber pads and the presence of a rear-view camera do not improve the situation. As for the last element, it is available exclusively in the top-end configuration. What, then, can we say about the rest?

Salon

First impression of interior decoration korean car positive. But a closer acquaintance with interior decoration shatters all illusions. Among the main drawbacks, we note hard plastic, uncomfortable armrests, and the absence of cigarette lighters. Some motorists even joke that the Creta is a healthy lifestyle car.

The lack of a central headrest on the rear sofa is also annoying - you will not envy a passenger seated in this place, especially during long trips. Not very pleased with the beveled rear doorway - the landing is not very comfortable.

Let's continue the theme of doors. There is a lack of seals in their lower part. One could forgive this shortcoming, but it leads to severe pollution of the passenger compartment. Even high plastic thresholds do not help here.

The instrument panel is equipped with blue backlighting, which greatly strains the eyes. And in the glove compartment of the car there is no light at all. The question is, how to find something urgently in the glove compartment, especially at night? We think this problem is familiar to many crossover owners.

We also attributed the lack of cruise control to the main disadvantages of the Hyundai Creta. For motorists who rarely travel abroad, this is not critical. But, if you plan to commit long trips, this can be a big hindrance.

The display of the audio system was also disappointing - it is so tiny that it is difficult to see the name of the tracks being played on it. The sound of the radio tape recorder also causes complaints - when listening to music, there is a desire to replace them as soon as possible.

Not too pleased with the driver's seat. Position adjusters are present only in top options complete set. The steering wheel is adjustable, but only in height - it only causes bewilderment.

In heavy rain, windshield wipers leave behind strong streaks. In addition, a "dead zone" arises, which is often the cause of road accidents.

There are often problems with the trunk lock. Already after 10 thousand kilometers, he begins to junk systematically. I would also like the door handles to be larger.

If you are running the Korean crossover for a long period of time, raise the hood. A lot of dirt, isn't it? The reason for this lies in the presence of a large number of holes, most of which are absolutely useless.

The 1.6-liter powerplant makes unpleasant noises not only at high revs, but also at idle. In this case, noise insulation is of no use at all.

Aluminum blocks of cylinders cause many questions (some motorists consider this an advantage). As wonderful as the elements made of this material are, they are too soft and wear out quickly. As you know, aluminum cylinders are almost impossible to bore. The only way out is to replace power unit, and if we think more radically - the replacement of the car.

The power steering does not perform its functions exactly as we would like it to. If during parking he is an indispensable assistant, then on high speeds it is of little use.

At first glance, it may seem that the suspension korean crossover perfect. In principle, this is so, but there are some unpleasant moments. For example, it is difficult for Russian motorists to immediately learn new principle car operation on domestic "quality" roads: when crossing pits and bumps, you need to pick up speed, and not drop it. As practice shows, this driving style is more efficient. But another drawback follows from this: fast driving potholes negatively affect the rims, which is why they have to be replaced more often.

There are no questions about the front of the suspension - it is completely independent. A spring-loaded beam is installed at the rear, the presence of which significantly reduces the level of passenger comfort. On a poor-quality road, there is an unpleasant tendency of "crushing teeth".

The standard ones are not encouraging either. wheel disksthat are not different high quality... The situation is much better in the older versions, equipped with 17-inch cast elements.

Extra elements

If we talk about the extra elements of the Hyundai Creta, then the first thing that comes to mind is a CD drive. Its presence is perplexing - it's like a gramophone in a modern nightclub.

Many motorists are unhappy with the operation of tire pressure sensors and do not understand at all what are the benefits of them. Even more discontent arises when you learn that their cost exceeds 20 thousand rubles. Imagine - 20 "chunks" for something that you hardly use.

Thin roof rails. Although you can't even call them rails - rather arcs. In principle, they can come in handy in the process of installing a roof rack, but experts advise not to trust them and replace them. If so, then why are they needed at all. Another "appendicitis" of the Korean crossover.

Another element that can be safely attributed to the category of "appendicitis" is the motion control system when descending from the mountain. If Creta was concerned with animal-drawn transport, everything would be clear, and so many questions arise.

Hyundai Creta in the Russian market is positioned as a budget crossover, which surpasses many competitors in terms of price. But, as practice shows, the cost of a car usually causes bewilderment among buyers, which later translates into dissatisfaction on thematic forums.

The situation is aggravated by the fact that even basic configuration the model cannot be called cheap. But in addition to this, money needs to be set aside for scheduled maintenance, as well as for the purchase of spare parts, which sooner or later will definitely be needed.

Output

So we discussed the cons of the Hyundai Creta. Now let's summarize. Oddly enough, but the exterior of the car cannot "boast" of the presence of a large number of shortcomings: weak exterior design, poor-quality "filling" of optics, weak anti-corrosion resistance. The salon is already more "lucky" in this regard: too hard plastic, uncomfortable armrests, the absence of a central headrest in the back and a disgustingly bad radio. Separately, we note a weak trunk lock and short-sighted wipers.

Hyundai Creta-Solaris among crossovers. Inexpensive if you compare it with competitors, the cost of the minimum configuration on the market is 800 thousand rubles, the "maximum speed" will cost 1.2 million rubles. The crossover is pleasant to look at, outwardly the model is practically no different from its fellow tribesmen, at least for the worse. Good quality of finishing materials, comfort and ergonomics are provided. However, there are several significant "BUTs" that make the operation of the Korean crossover a real nightmare and a big disappointment for the new owners of Cret.

We have collected some of the most egregious facts about the fact that the crossover from Korea is far from the most the best way for purchase.

1. The body of the Hyundai Creta is rotting!

Photo taken from www.drive2.ru

The first and most horrifying fact about the Hyundai Creta is that its body is rotting just a few months after leaving the assembly line! What a news!

This fact was spoken about by a considerable number of motorists who managed to take possession of the crossover and what they said was shocking, it was simply impossible to believe in it. Nevertheless, all the stories turned out to be true, a number of trusted automotive publications wrote about this, including the information published on the magazine's website "Behind the wheel".

According to data from forums, from a quarter to a third of owners are faced with this unpleasant ailment. And it would be fine if the bottom of the car would be covered with rust, at least you can “overwhelm” it. But traces of metal decomposition appeared on body panels and even on the roof !!! What is it like? You can read more about the study in the article "Why the new Hyundai Creta is rusting - an investigation" Behind the wheel "

And in order not to slander the Korean automaker, we note that according to official data, there are very few car owners who are faced with the problem of rust on the Hyundai Creta, 1 percent will not be typed.

Therefore, you should not panic. However, it is best to keep in mind that there is a similar problem.

In order not to tarnish its reputation, Hyundai will change the necessary technical processes by any means (or has already made edits) and new parties will get rid of the unpleasant ailment. But the sediment will remain ...

2. Crossover with a 1.6 liter engine, automatic and four-wheel drive has vague dynamics

The second annoying disappointment of the owners is that the Creta, equipped with a 1.6-liter engine, automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, does not go at all. As an example, the following review https://www.zr.ru/cars/hyundai/-/creta/reviews/

Immediately, we note that this is almost maximum complete set and it costs more than 1.1 million rubles.

According to the passport, the acceleration is 13.1 seconds, not fast, but it would seem possible to live, because we do not take a sports car. In life, everything turned out to be somewhat worse (according to the members of the forum), since acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is not the only driving mode in real road conditions, much more often you need to quickly accelerate from 3rd, 4th gear and here everything turns out to be completely bad. A car with a 123 horsepower engine does not pull out, acceleration is sleepy and does not quite fit the realities of modern road life.

However, the disease is treated very simply, take a model with a 2.0 liter engine, overpay a little (60-100 thousand rubles), but immediately raise the safety of operation by several points up.

P.S. People differ on the dynamics of the discussions. For some, the power and traction are quite enough and they do not understand the essence of the claims of other owners. Forum club-creta.ru

3. Minimum complete set - no, no!

Hyundai differs from many in a fairly budgetary approach to pricing, but according to an old and bad tradition, if you want to buy a car as cheaply as possible, do not do it, otherwise you will go wrong. For 800 thousand rubles in the Start configuration, you will get a kind of crossover with a monodrive to the front axle, two front airbags, steel 16 ”discs and a set of" options "that are even in Lada Kalina, such as a classic electric window, central locking and immobilizer.

Tell me honestly, would you buy a completely "naked" car for 800 thousand? Well this is a crossover, whatever one may say, not a car of the brand. With all due respect to the efforts of the domestic auto industry to get out of the impenetrable darkness. In this our fellows inspire optimism.

4. Creta is expensive

Yes, we say that the crossover is budget, read, inexpensive. But if we discard the minimum configurations and choose a more or less worthy one, it turns out that the model is better to purchase from only 1 million rubles. ONE MILLION, Karl!

What is it like? It's not expensive?! Expensive, of course.

We understand that the crossover has always been an expensive pleasure and the manufacturer cannot sell its products at a loss, but ... Creta is really an expensive model from Hyundai in the budget segment.

5. Purchase queues

At the same time, to buy Creta you will have to wait. The wait will be long. In some regions, the queue is scheduled for almost six months. This is both a merit and a failure of the manufacturer. On the one hand, the excitement is frenzied, people want to get themselves Creta, from the other point of view, it would not hurt to establish supplies or production in a larger volume. Discussion on the forum www.hyundai-creta2.ru

These were the top 5 most egregious Hyundai Creta facts. Of course, car owners will find a bunch of flaws or just gustatory flaws in the car and forums are full of discussions of this kind. We will not list negative reviews, because in our opinion, this will already be nit-picking.

What did we want to say with this material? Does not exist ideal cars... They do not exist in nature, even super-reliable Toyota breaks down. Remember after 7 years of operation. But in pursuit of imaginary savings, it is better to slow down and think, is it worth it to go on credit or give the money accumulated over the years in order to acquire a seemingly crossover, but in fact an ordinary city car named Creta? Maybe it's better to take a brand new Solaris of the second generation, a proven bestseller of the Russian market, honed over the years of release, and not to know the troubles? Or do you still think it's worth paying extra for the Creta's off-road performance? You decide.

Disadvantages and disadvantages of Hyundai Creta (2017-2018) in the reviews and opinions of the owners:

Posted by Mitya in 2019

Year of purchase and mileage: 2018
Complete set: Travel + Advance 2.0 AT four-wheel drive
Your average consumption: 9.0 liters per 100 km

Advantages of the car: Powerful, spacious, beautiful, practical, fashionable.

Disadvantages of the car: How to take from the passenger compartment he ate 25 liters of gasoline per 100 km in buckets until he changed the engine with a gun and knocked out the catalyst, the consumption began to fall by 5-8 liters, changed the oil drained the vaunted Total Quartz 5 W30 poured Idumitsa 5W40 also changed 7.5 liters in the box as I replaced it on Solaris, then poured it in and the hose where it is marked in yellow from where 1 liter is drained and I pour a liter, the bridge in the rear 1 liter, the coupling is 1 liter and as a result 9-11 liters.

Your feedback or advice to future owners: Drive in and change all the liquid in the same way coolant antifreeze bullshit is better than antifreeze or yellow antifreeze

Year of purchase and mileage: 2017. mileage 12300 km.
Equipment: 2x4, 1.6, automatic
Your average consumption: 8/11 city / highway

Advantages of the car: The main thing is the comfort of the driver. Sitting comfortably, all controls are at hand and in place. The car is easy to control and runs very smoothly. High waist. The visibility is excellent.

Disadvantages of the car: The near one is still normal, and the far one is completely horror-horror. The beam is too diffuse. Hard plastic in the cabin.

In the front-wheel drive version, Creta looks like an SUV only externally. If you need a car for fishing or forest, take an all-wheel drive one.

Year of purchase and mileage: 2017, 32 000
Equipment: 1.6, 123, front-wheel drive, automatic
Your average consumption: 10.8

Advantages of the car: Many wrote that the creta is rotting, so far everything is fine with me. The suspension is smooth, it does not let the joints and uneven surfaces into the cabin. The steering wheel at low speeds is very light, at high speeds it becomes heavy. No need to steer up to 140. The machine on the Crete is good, the switching is smooth without kicks and pokes.

Disadvantages of the car: Engine 1.6 is rather weak. If it is still normal in the city, then overtaking on the highway is straining. Soundproofing is rather weak. Low and high beams are not very

Your feedback or advice to future owners: If you take that two-liter. The general impression is spoiled by the dealer who gives the car only with dopas from 50 thousand. And so a well-balanced car for the money.

Crash test of the Hyundai Creta car from Autoreview

Posted by (a) Mikhail, Moscow in 2018

At the first MOT there was a knock on the stabilizer rack, I change it under warranty. But the parts are taking too long, the second week has already gone. A replacement car was not given. At a consumption of about 11 liters per hundred in the city, but this is without a slipper on the floor on the mechanics. The body does not rust. Does not penetrate the suspension. In addition to waiting for spare parts, everything is ok.

Posted by (a) zahar in 2018

Future owners, do not skimp and take a two-liter engine. 1.6 does not pull this mass. On the suspension all the rules. At a speed of up to 130 km / h, the road holds confidently, it already starts to wag higher. The headlights are excellent, and there is no insulation. A normal car for a city, but the price is too high.

Complete chaos !!! The salon is ready to give a car only with a bunch of pre-installed equipment and all sorts of options, such as "roadside assistance". The bank is ready to issue a loan only together with life insurance of the owner, his wife, hamster and aquarium fish. They impose absolutely everything and everyone !!!

There are no complaints about the typewriter itself. Good and easy to steer. I quickly got used to the dimensions. not very fast acceleration, but it doesn't matter to me.

I bought a Hyundai Creta with a two-liter engine and automatic transmission. For those who choose between 1.6 and 2.0 and between the drive, I say right away - take two liters and four-wheel drive. The attitude to driving and the sensations from it are completely different. Acceleration on a snow porridge or leaving a secondary one will immediately cease to be a problem.

Among the identified minuses and strange features:

Strange operation of the machine, if you do not press the gas pedal in a straight line, then the machine begins to shift gears down and brake with the engine and drive at increased speeds. How long it will last in this mode, I don't know.

Winter consumption is about 12 liters.

Quite stoned dealers. Until you take special stages, the car will not be sold to you. There are many types of us (buyers), but few cars.

I did not like the light both near and far.

The automatic transmission does not have its own probe! It is necessary to heat up the oil, drive it onto the overpass, unscrew the plug and look at the level, it should be under the plug. So much for the twenty-first century, the age of computer technology.

I'm not used to the settings of the electric booster. On low speedseg parking mode, the steering wheel turns easily. But at speed it gets heavier and seems to wedge

When you press the brake pedal, braking starts immediately, not at the end or middle of the pedal travel.

Large rear pillars, resulting in a large dead zone.

The front overhang is too large.

Window regulator buttons are not illuminated.

I looked after a new thing for the family. Chose between Renault Capture, Duster and Hyundai Creta. The first did not like its unprepossessing appearance, the second - its "screaming" appearance... And the Hyundai Creta is calm, but a little angular. Used / did not consider, even at the beginning having played enough for his youth with an old Opel.

When buying a little discouraged by the message of the manager, about the need to purchase additional. equipment for at least 50 thousand rubles, otherwise they won't sell the car.

Speakers in the city with a 1.6 engine and a gun are enough. But when overtaking on the track, it is better to have a couple of seconds left. Yes, with this motor, it still roars like a cut, spinning up to 6000 rpm.

In general, the car is quite harmonious on the outside and spacious inside. The suspension is moderately elastic. The trunk is enough for four bags from the supermarket, and I don't need more.

The main part of the kit from which Hyundai Creta is made comes from China. And repaint all the bugs future owner will be at its own expense, since the guarantee goes only for through corrosion. Bought new car - add another 17 tyrov to repaint the element. Sabacoeda are constantly saving on everything. Cheap plastic, cheap metal, less paint - a cheap car. But all manufacturers took this path.

My hooligans broke the glass on the tailgate. The agreement between the insurance company and the service station passed quickly, but the glass was transported for 1 month, despite the fact that the car is being assembled in St. Petersburg.

Dear future owners of Hyundai Creta, buying this car you get a slightly raised Solaris. But you overpay 150-200 thousand rubles. If you think that on the road you will be perceived as a wealthy owner of a Big Black Jeep, then you should be upset. Most frankly don't give a damn about that.

I bought a Hyundai Cretu in complete set Active with front-wheel drive, 1.6 engine and AT at the beginning of 2017. I wanted a car on the machine, the price is not more than a million, a crossover and the presence in the cabin. Now I am already approaching the second MOT for 30,000. Of the breakdowns, the tire pressure sensor is constantly on, which was turned off in the tire shop when the wheel was changed. Rusty stains haven't seen yet. Of the shortcomings: a bunch of 1.6 + AT frankly does not pull, when overtaking above 100 km / h, it roars roaring, but does not drive. I recommend to future owners to consider the version with the 2.0 engine; the seats are not comfortable, if you drive more than 1000 km - your back starts to hurt; fog lights do not shine, what is on, what is not; budget salon.

In general, it's worth its money. A budget crossover for lam, this is not a complaint not to Hyundai, but rather to the leaders of the country.

Should you buy a Hyundai Creta (2017-2018)?

👌 Hyundai Creta is a universal car, driving which you can imagine a young lady who recently passed her license and a pensioner carrying seedlings to the country. But at the same time it is very ambiguous. On the one hand, it is a Korean compact crossover with excellent ergonomics and handling. Suspension, engine and gearbox settings allow you to enjoy driving. But on the other hand, this is a slightly raised Solaris with a Chinese pedigree for a million rubles, in which side airbags and heated windshields can be obtained only in the top-end configuration.

  • Advantages and pros
  • Ergonomics, all elements are comfortable and in place
  • Steering and suspension settings
  • Full six-speed automatic available
  • Both engines are not distinguished by excessive gluttony
  • Disadvantages and disadvantages
  • Marketing policy in the formation of complete sets
  • Weak insulation
