But that version was not at all archaic - 408 forces, double turbocharging, the same 9-speed automatic and four-wheel drive. So where did the jump come from? The point is that new inline engine(367 hp) with a 48-volt electrics and an integrated starter-generator is assisted by a 22-horsepower electric motor. This gives a large increase in traction precisely at acceleration. Fresh CLS was the first of the serial Mercedes to try on, which in Stuttgart is called both "sensual simplicity" and "hot & cool".
