The salon has a sufficient number of other boxes and niches for things, as well as cup holders. For example, over glove box there is a recess with compartments for storing any small items. It is in plain sight, so access to things is quick and convenient.

Salon:

The interior of the crossover is spacious, there is a lot of space inside. The front seats are comfortable and laterally supported. The side mirrors are large, there are parking sensors and a rear-view camera, so there are no problems with visibility. The only drawback is the lack of an electric folding mirror. Parking brake, as well as the automatic transmission lever, is removed from the console and is activated using a pedal.

The second row of seats is spacious, and thanks to the three-zone climate control, different temperatures can be set for the driver, front and rear passengers. With the seats folded down, a flat area is formed on which two adults can sleep comfortably. For the carriage of goods in luggage compartment at the same time, you can load the washing machine, TV, small refrigerator and microwave. The dimensions of the trunk are really impressive and allow you to take the necessary amount of things on the road.

It also easily fits a full-fledged baby stroller. There is a drawer under the floor with compartments for things. This means that most of the things permanently present in the car will lie in their places, and the luggage compartment itself will be empty and clean. To such a number of advantages, you can also add the tailgate glass, which can be opened separately from the door itself. It is very convenient in confined spaces. The spare wheel is located under the bottom and does not interfere.

Noise isolation in Pilot is very good, the sound of the road and city streets is not heard.

Engine:

Gas engine atmospheric. Its volume is 3.5 liters, and the power is 249 hp. Due to this, the amount of the annual tax is relatively small. There is enough power to transport 700 kg in the back and a two-ton trailer without straining. The engine has cylinder shut-off system VCMwhich helps to save fuel. 3 or 4 cylinders out of six are turned off in different cases when their work is not needed.

For example, when driving uniformly at a constant speed or when there is no heavy load. Despite the presence of such a system, gasoline consumption is relatively high and amounts to about 15 liters in the city. This is quite normal considering the volume. The power unit is paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission, which is electronically controlled. Transmissions in it are switched practically without delays, there are modes for forced differential lock - in first, second and reverse gear.

The steering wheel is soft and turns easily. When entering corners at high speed, body roll is very noticeable. Therefore, it is better not to make sharp maneuvers and rebuilding at speed. The headlight bulbs, though halogen, shine pretty well. When driving at night on the highway, the road is clearly visible, there is no lack of illumination.

Suspension:

Suspension Pilot 2 is soft enough. When lock mode is enabled VTM-4 LOCK at speeds up to 10 km / h, an imitation of the rear inter-wheel differential lock occurs, the maximum torque is transmitted to the rear axle, and it is the same for each of the wheels. When the speed increases, the mode is automatically disabled.

Technically, the all-wheel drive device in Pilot 2 is a hypoid transmission with high-strength gears. The axle shafts are connected through a multi-plate clutch - a clutch.
It is not recommended to turn on the blocking mode on even dry surfaces, in this case the mechanism may fail. This mode is only intended for surfaces such as mud, snow or uphill climbs where difficulties arise when using normal mode.
