Borrowed from Granta, the on-DO design looks like this: the front is an independent spring suspension, MacPherson strut, the rear is a semi-independent spring suspension. For the sake of improving the handling of the chassis, the Granta underwent certain modifications - for example, gas-filled shock absorbers were installed, the spring settings were changed and the ground clearance was increased - from 160 to 174 mm, and the clearance for models with manual transmission and automatic transmission is the same. To deliver the new Jatco automatic transmission, Nissan had to optimize braking system, however, the calibrated operation of the brakes and steering, which is desirable when driving on high speeds, it was still not possible to achieve it. At the same time, it turned out to get rid of squeaks in the front suspension by lubricating the silent blocks of the front stabilizer with silicone grease.

Adaptation to Russian conditions

On-DO is well prepared for operation in Russian conditions, especially after the modernization of 2016. From now on, the sedan can boast not only high ground clearance and automatic transmission, but also an improved climate system - the wall thickness of the interior heater radiator has increased, and a special carbon tape is applied to the air conditioner evaporator tubes to reduce the noise level. As they say: competitors are jealous. But it's true: of the competitors, the "tallest" Logan with not the "weakest" clearance of 155 mm is almost 2 cm lower than "our" Datsun - a good result.

On the track, Datsun behaves confidently, thanks to the regular pirelli tires - thanks to the Nissan engineers who insisted on using them. But the electronic stabilization system (ESC) deserves special attention. Naturally, it is not installed in the cheapest configuration, but nevertheless it is there.
