New Mercedes-Benz G-Class: first test drive. Reviews about Mercedes-Benz G-Class (Mercedes-Benz G-Class)

Just a couple of years ago, the famous Gelendvagen celebrated the 38th anniversary of its production - this model in production since 1979.

You will not surprise anyone with such a period on the conveyor - many successful cars from Japanese manufacturers are also produced for a long time. But in Mercedes Gelendvagen the main thing is different - over the years, the design of the SUV has remained practically unchanged.

Yes, certain improvements and additions are being made to it, and in terms of decoration, the restyled 2015 model stands out strongly from the previous generation - but the general concept remains constant, and for an uninitiated person to distinguish the 463rd body from the previous one will be an almost insoluble task.

So, despite the somewhat outdated, according to critics, appearance and unsightly design, Mercedes-Benz does not plan to remove the G-class from production or make any radical changes to the design.

The best evidence of this is the model update that took place in 2015. Neither externally nor technically Gelik did not receive any major changes- all major improvements have been made to the interior and the line of more powerful and economical power units. The photo shows the version of the G63 AMG.

Exterior

As mentioned above, there is nothing new in the appearance of the restyled Mercedes Gelendvagen. All the same angular, brutal-looking body mounted on a powerful ladder-type frame is a legacy of the army's past of an SUV. The frame, consisting of U-shaped profiles and side members, has an additional layer of polymer protection that reliably protects the metal from premature corrosion and increases its rigidity.

The main difference between the Gelika body is modified shape of the front bumper, with air intakes located at the corners and new rear-view mirrors... In the lower part of the body, a rounded underbody protection is installed at the front.

Another difference is the new optics. The SUV received LED daytime running lights integrated into rear bumper LED fog lights, as well as turn signals with illumination of the near space. Fog lights installed in the front bumper now have a "side light" option.

If outside the Mercedes Gelendvagen makes an impression utility all-terrain vehicle, then an atmosphere of luxury and comfort reigns inside, second only to the Bentley Bentayga.

Natural leather, wood, high-quality fabrics, polished metal and carbon are widely used in interior decoration. Comfortable front seats have a pneumatic support function and electric height and tilt adjustment with memory.

There are also three full-fledged seats in the back, but due to the design features there is not as much space as it seems. All the seats are electrically heated already as standard, but their shape is far from ideal - the lack of lateral support, low headrests and flat cushions will not let you relax on a long journey. In this regard, the Mercedes G-Class is inferior to modern crossovers such as the Range Rover Velar.

Dashboard classic type, with two shafts and a four-spoke multifunction steering wheel. The buttons located on the steering wheel can not only control devices and regulate the operation of the multimedia system, but also receive incoming calls, control on-board computer and much more.

On the center console of a somewhat archaic shape, there are airflow deflectors and control keys for on-board systems. Above it is a 7.0-inch remote display of the latest COMAND Online multimedia system with an additional controller on the armrest. It includes a CD / DVD player with USB connectors, wireless interface, 80 GB hard drive, phone connectivity and internet browser.

The surround sound system from Harmon / Kardon and the interior lighting Ambient Lighting are already installed in the standard version of the Gelik, as is the THERMATIC dual-zone climate control.

Specifications

The main difference between the updated Mercedes Gelendvagen is new gasoline and diesel engines.

  • G350... This version is equipped with a 3.0-liter OM642 6-cylinder V-turbo engine. It is capable of developing a capacity of 245 liters. with. and reach a torque of 600 Nm, and a top speed of 192 km / h, acceleration - 8.8 s.
  • G500 equipped with an atmospheric gasoline engine M176 V8 with a volume of 4.0 liters. Power is equal to 422 liters. with., and the torque reaches 530 Nm. Maximum speed- 210 km / h, acceleration - 5.9 s.
  • Version G63 AMG with the M157 DE55LA biturbo engine with a volume of 5.5 liters, it was possible to squeeze out 571 hp. and reach a torque of 760 Nm. With this engine, the SUV is able to reach a speed of 210 km / h.

Despite the fact that all motors, without exception, became at least 7-10% more powerful, the engineers managed to achieve fuel efficiency. For example, with the new engine, the fuel consumption of the G500 is 12.4 l / 100 km versus 17.6 l for the previous version.

Gelik is equipped with two variants of 7-speed automatic transmissions:

  • Models G350 and G500 are equipped with 7G-TRONIC PLUS.
  • For the top-end versions of the G63 AMG and G65 AMG, a more powerful AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC gearbox is offered. Her main feature- three modes of operation, one of which allows you to manually change gears using paddle shifters.

Both transmissions are equipped with low gear and blocking differentials, allowing the SUV to feel confident on any terrain.

Video

Long before the powerful SUV Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2014 hit car dealerships in October 2013, his great-grandfather the venerable G-Wagen made a name for himself as a German military man vehicle the Cold War, which in the future was converted for civilian use. Its first year of civilian production began in 1979.

Since then, the G-Wagen has built a worldwide reputation as an SUV with exceptional durability, strength and high class prestige. Mercedes has used the best engines and components to fit this SUV, including the glorious 5.5-liter twin turbocharged 536-horsepower V8 that was showcased this year in the new G63 AMG.

Now let's decide on the cost of the German G-class SUV, you will have to have at least six-figure bills in your pocket.

If you ask Hollywood celebrities who bought G Wagens and not Honda civic and if you ask genuine G Wagen fans, they will tell you that Mercedes got most of the parts back on its first day of sales and that most of the flaws were seen in the updated regular powertrain and recent internal overhauls.

So we acknowledge that the 2014 Mercedes-Benz G550 and G63 AMG have solidified their place at the top of the automotive pile. These boxy Benz SUVs are a relic of a bygone era, and buyers with the requisite funds are likely to prefer a different vehicle.

What's new for 2014?

The square SUV didn't get any major changes for the 2014 model year.

What We Love!

World-class engines can be seen under the hood and a lot modern technologies.

What have we not noticed?

The basic design has not changed for 30 years; This is arguably the worst car in its class on the market, in large part due to the raw ride.

What is the price?

$ 114 200 $ 135 700

Fuel economy

Protection Agency environment(EPA) rated both G models to average one gallon per thirteen miles. If you are buying an SUV for the city then take the G550, if for the highway it is the G63, a gallon for 15 miles and a gallon for 14 miles.

Standard characteristics and parameters

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class is available in two trim levels: the G550 and the high-performance G63 AMG.

The G550 ($ 114,200) is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 and comes with a rich list of standard items, including adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, surround sound system, Harmon Kardon Logic7, and heated and ventilated seats. Only two of the G550's features are enhanced with mobile app functionality; MBrace PLUS concierge service ($ 20 per month); and the Mercedes-Benz internet browsing app ($ 14 per month).

G63 AMG ($ 135,700) under the hood is a 5.5-liter twin turbocharged V8 with a capacity of 536 Horse power... Has the same attachment as the G550.For the G63 AMG, you can order a special design package for $ 4950, which includes an exclusive leather trim.

Security

In 2013, the Mercedes G550 and G63 AMG SUVs received standard stability control systems, 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes and only four airbags: two in front and two side full-length ones.

The electronic security tools available are numerous, including new system safety / telematics that connects with compatible smartphones and computers.

Behind the wheel

The G-Class feels a lot more sublime than it sounds, if you can believe it. It is certainly a tall and narrow car, but these qualities are enhanced in one way or another when you are behind the wheel. In this respect, the G-Wagen looks more like a Mercedes Sprinter cargo van than a regular Benz.

However, the G-Class stands out on the highway, cruising proportions, limited only by its terrible aerodynamics and significant wind noise. Off-road, the SUV behaves confidently, largely thanks to the installed 22-inch chrome-plated wheel rims with low profile street tires.

Similar crossovers and SUVs

Infiniti QX80 is based on excellent Nissan SUV Patrol, the QX is the rightful king of its class and rivals the G-class in design audacity. Plus, it costs tens of thousands less.

Land rover Range rover recently updated SUV Range The Rover is much lighter than its predecessor, allowing it to significantly outperform the G Wagen in mobility.

Porsche Cayenne If you like crossovers with aggressive angles, then the G-Class is for you, but the sporty crossover from Porsche, on the contrary, has sleek and flowing lines.

The G550 has a fairly responsive V8 unit. But for those looking for a more powerful vehicle, the G63 AMG SUV will do the trick.

Old look, new possibilities

Eyes don't fool you: the new generation Mercedes-Benz SUV The G-Class looks almost exactly like the previous one. The manufacturer has preserved as much as possible all the features of a car with an almost forty-year history.

"Gelendvagen" not only remained at its "corners", the SUV inherited the same door handles with a round button (they even say that the metal clang of doors is the same), a spare wheel on the fifth door and turn signal repeaters. The shape of the optics has also retained its shape, but the filling has changed: the headlights are now fully LED.

When viewed from some angles, you cannot say that the SUV has undergone at least some changes. And yet, not only the headlights, bumper and radiator grill have changed: the new G-Class has added in size. The length increased by 53 millimeters (up to 4715 mm), and the width by 121 millimeters (up to 1881 mm).

But the interior of the new G-Class is completely redesigned and is in no way inferior to others. modern models in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. In particular, two 12.3-inch displays with the Comand system are spread out in front of the eyes of the driver and front passenger.

Air duct deflectors, like the two-door "Yeshek". The only familiar element in the cabin from the previous Gelendvagen is the handrail opposite the front passenger.

So far, only one engine has been announced - this is a four-liter biturbo V8 with a capacity of 422 horsepower and 610 Nm for the G500 version. The unit will be paired with a 9G TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission.

One of the most important achievements of the new "Gelendvagen" - he threw off 170 kilograms, reducing the curb weight to about 2.4 tons. It was possible to "lose weight" thanks to the extensive use of aluminum in the body structure (fenders, hood, doors, etc.) and high-strength steels. In addition, the torsional rigidity of the structure has increased to 10 162 Nm / deg.

As before, the SUV is based on a ladder frame. Rear suspension- continuous axle with four trailing arms and Panhard rod. But the front suspension is now independent on double wishbones without a subframe.

In addition to size, the G-Class also has increased off-road capabilities. The ground clearance has increased to 241 mm (+6). The fording depth is now 700 millimeters (+100 mm). The angles of exit and entry are 30 and 31 degrees. The SUV can handle a 45-degree incline as well as roll up to 35 degrees.

In addition, in the arsenal of the SUV, a lowering row and three locks remained, but now instead of hydraulic and vacuum locks, multi-plate clutches with electronic control... In addition, the engineers added the G-Mode to the car, which, like other control electronics modes (Comfort, Sport, Individual and Eco), adjusts the settings for the suspension, steering, gearbox, engine and security systems.

There are no official ruble prices yet. They will be announced closer to May, when the start of sales is expected. In Germany, the new SUV in the G500 version was estimated at 107,040 euros.

Occasion: driving presentation of the new SUVs Mercedes-Benz G 500 and Mercedes-AMG G 63.

Scene: Perpignan-Carcassonne, France.

Impressions: The just finally published "helik" is full of contradictions. It is both new and old at the same time. New - because from the old "Gi-Wagen" only the outer door handles, headlight washer nozzles and a spare wheel cover (according to another version, this list also includes sun visors, ventilation grilles in the rear pillars and a certain power element of the body). The rest was created from scratch. Why old then? Yes, because the Germans tried so hard to preserve the style and concept of the previous car that they endowed it with a non-"restyled" appearance - and in addition did not change the factory index W463, although logically, the SUV clearly deserved an upgrade.

So far, only two versions will appear in Russia: Mercedes-Benz G 500 and, which will be sold in approximately equal proportions. Over time, a diesel modification will also be added, which will account for about a third of sales - at least the previous "Gelik" had something like this. Probably, it is the diesel G-class that will become the most affordable option, although it will not be cheap anyway. Prices for other versions were announced at the end of winter and since then have managed to rise by 30 thousand: now the G 500 goes from 8 980 000, and the G 63 - from 12 480 000 rubles. Expensive, of course, but everything is relative: the old Gelendvagen was not much cheaper.

Therefore, paradoxically, this is a good proposal: it has become not as expensive as it is better. I specially took the previous G 63 in Moscow for a couple of days before the trip to Perpignan, since I have not yet driven a Gelika at all. What can I say ... Interesting sensations, but in the end the impressions are mixed. The motor is incredible, but clearly does not match the chassis: the SUV does not want to turn properly or drive in a straight line, requiring constant trajectory correction. The steering wheel does not return to zero. The ergonomics are medieval: the pedal assembly is uncomfortable, the range of adjustment of the seats is not enough, there is close enough space on the back sofa (and it is inconvenient to get in there). In general, the pleasure of driving this car has a certain smack of masochism. But the new Gelend ...

This is a completely different car! The interior is absolutely modern, and only the almost vertical A-pillars, on which the high-raised roof rests, remind us that the body is still square, despite all the achievements of modern aerodynamics. The chairs are comfortable (to them, however, there were no complaints before), the adjustment ranges are quite enough even for high personalities. True, the seats are trying to humiliate corpulent riders by overly intrusive lateral support. It, of course, can be adjusted: the scale is graduated from 0 to 10. I settled on a two, firmly deciding that upon returning home I would definitely go on a diet (this, of course, is another self-deception).

I was thinking to start the riding exercises from the "five hundredth", but as a result, in my pocket there was a key to the 585-strong "sixty-third", and in Execution Edition 1 - that is, with a bunch additional equipment... The car is fierce, fast, loud - and nevertheless quite human-loving: the ride is adequately decent; the steering wheel is slightly overweight with the electric power settings, but still quite accurate; and there is almost no roll, which is a bit surprising for an SUV with such a tall body (and frame bolted to it). The chic sound of the exhaust system can be adjusted with a button on the center tunnel, but the accompaniment is still hauntingly loud. By all appearances, G 63 is a pronounced extrovert with an inflated sense of self-importance: he is all for show and requires every minute admiration.

Against the background of the "sixty-third" G 500 keeps more modest. And you know, I liked him even more. There is more than enough motor in it: 422 forces of the helicopter are enough for the eyes. At the same time, the "five hundredth" can be both quiet and loud: the bubbling of the V8 is clearly audible at the moment of energetic acceleration, but if you drive calmly, smoothly pedaling, then silence reigns in the cabin. As soon as the wind begins to whistle, stumbling over the corners of the square body already at a speed of about a hundred.

It would not be entirely correct to declare categorically that Gelendvagen has no equal on the road. It is clear that the minimum overhangs, decent ground clearance (241 mm under the rear axle nut), range and forced locks of all three differentials can work wonders. But for this you need to be an experienced off-road wizard, because when you switch to G-mode, the stabilization system is disabled in the car, and the driver is left alone with the car. Cruisers and Rovers with attachment Land big They will take on some of the difficulties by activating all their all-terrain skills, densely mixed with electronics. And as a result, they will probably ride the same paths, without requiring superfluous efforts from the driver.

In Russia, the cars will appear in June, dealers have been taking orders for more than a month. And they are doing it very actively: Russian quotas have been chosen for almost a year ahead.

Perspectives: rainbow. Gelendvagen will be in steady demand despite the high cost, because Mother Russia has not become impoverished in the solvent population. And by and large, the G-class has no direct competitors: even SUVs comparable in price and capabilities do not have such a bright and specific charisma.

Review of the new SUV Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020: appearance, interior, specifications, configuration, parameters, security systems and price. At the end of the article, a photo and video review of the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020.

Contents of the review:

An updated legend, or rather a completely new generation of the legendary Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018 SUV. Officially, the new SUV was presented on January 14, 2018 at automobile exhibition in Detroit. At first glance, it seems that the designers have only domesticated the body of the SUV, giving it modern features, on the other hand, this is completely new body W464.

Externally, the 2018-2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV received less noticeable changes, the interior of the car is completely new and corresponds to its style. From a brutal and combat SUV, it was transformed in the cabin into a luxurious and elegant car, adding many details S-Class sedan.

A little history of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class

For the first time, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV was introduced back in 1979. At first it was an off-road vehicle for military purposes and fell into civilian hands in exceptional cases. For all the time, three main generations of W460, W463 and W464 have been released, the latter will be discussed in the review.

Frame SUV G-Class has proven itself more than once, proving that the main element of the car is off-road and all kinds of obstacles. Throughout its history, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018 has received a variety of names: Gelik, Kubik, Gelendvagen. There are other less common SUV nicknames, which no less emphasizes its status. There are many stories associated with this SUV in the post-Soviet space, besides, it is still in great demand now.

Today, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class is the only car in its class that is armored according to the VR7 standard, which practically protects against all kinds of hits. There are many modifications Mercedes-Benz G-Class, for both civil and public use. Among civil versions we can mention a convertible, a limousine and armored SUVs.

Exterior of the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020

The appearance of the third generation Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020 has practically remained the same. As before, this is a cube with well-recognizable features. Designers have combined modern technologies and original style off-road vehicle. From the previous generation of the SUV, the designers have moved the hinges for the rear "wicket" and side doors. The full-fledged spare wheel and door handles with characteristic cotton at close. Otherwise, the body parts of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class are made in a modern way.

front part SUV Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020 is still recognizable, but with more modern technologies. The radiator grille received a huge branded emblem in the form of a three-pointed star and chrome horizontal inserts. Above the emblem is located front view camera, with a slight forward tilt... It is this tilt that helps not only to orient oneself while parking, but also to see the situation perfectly during the descent, since the large hood of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018 simply will not give a good view.

The main changes were made to the front optics of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020. In all configurations, it is adaptive based on LEDs; optionally, you can install LED optics based on the MULTIBEAM LED system. The highlight of this technology is that it is able to react with lightning speed to switching high and low beam, as well as to recognize oncoming traffic. To finally emphasize the optics of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020, round headlights around the perimeter were decorated with LED running lights, they were previously under the optics.

Changes have also come to the front bumper of the new G-Class SUV. Mesh inserts and updated design, optionally offer to order a branded design front and rear bumper, thereby making the SUV even more unique. Sensors, sensors and a couple of security systems are hidden behind the inserts in the bumper, which speaks of rich functionality.

The upper front of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020, despite the similarity, received slight changes. The windshield has received a spherical shape, but the dynamic resistance remains the same. One more nuance front glass , that instead of landing on the rubber bands, the engineers installed it on the glue. In the upper part, just behind the central mirror, a laser radar and a pair of sensors for security systems were placed.

The hood of the new SUV Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020 received smoother corners, moreover, instead of one stop rod, two are installed. Thus, the engineers have solved the age-old sore of all "heliks", saving the hood of the SUV from distortions. In addition to the new windshield, the so-called "horns" are installed on the very front end, they are also direction indicators. Unlike previous generations and modifications of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, the engineers took into account different accidents and situations, adding mechanical system folding. V accident case, knocking down a pedestrian, the pointers automatically fold, and between the bonnet and the windshield, an airbag fires.

Side new 2018-2020 Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV both old and new. The situation is two-faced, since there are many recognizable details from the previous generation: door handles, door hinges and a characteristic rough body style. Central part chrome moldings divide the SUV's bodywork, and the wheel arches stand out with branded overlays. The bottom of the new 2018 G-Class is accentuated by side steps. The engineers also left the side exhaust characteristic characteristic, as before, having twisted it under the rear side door.

The side windows of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020 SUV at first glance are of the old model, but to provide a better level of noise insulation, they were made double, and the rear window was put on glue. Do not fit into the overall rough design at all side mirrors rear view Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020. In shape, they seem to have been transferred from the sedan, the shape is elongated and small, in comparison with the "bast shoes" of the previous generation. Despite a good functional set, the side mirrors of the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class seem small, moreover, with smooth rounded shapes. The set of functions of the mirrors is standard:

  • LED turn signal repeater;
  • electric adjustment drive;
  • heating;
  • automatic folding.
Depending on the configuration of the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class, the configuration of the side section may vary, in particular, more or less chrome parts, as well as body kit and separate trims for decoration.

The body colors of the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018 are presented in:

  1. white diamond;
  2. metallic graphite;
  3. Brown;
  4. coffee;
  5. red hyacinth (metallic);
  6. olive yellow;
  7. olive;
  8. desert sand (beige);
  9. platinum;
  10. blue;
  11. black platinum metallic;
  12. rich black;
  13. aquamarine;
  14. gray-blue.
The standard shades of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class are white and black, while the rest will be optional. Prices for optional shades very different, from 140,750 rubles and just over 500 thousand rubles. In most options, the color will be with a metallic tint, for which you will also need to pay extra separately. The side part of the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018 is emphasized by branded alloy wheels for 18 ", for an additional payment of 75,260 rubles, you can install 19" wheels, and for 288,580-313,998 rubles, 20 "AMG wheels will be installed.

Rear part SUV Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020 has practically not changed and if you do not look closely, it can easily be confused with the second generation. As already mentioned, the spare wheel on the tailgate and the handle remained the same, but the feet became fully LED, in the same way as the fog lights on the bumper. Trunk wicket The Mercedes-Benz G-Class opens, as before, from the passenger side to the driver's side, and the upper part is decorated with an LED stop indicator. The rear bumper of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, a small recess for license plates and a classic, austere shape do not stand out with nothing special.

SUV roof Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020, as expected for this class of SUVs, is the most modern. Beginning with basic configuration, the manufacturer installs an electric sunroof or, optionally, a panoramic roof. The rest, the open part of the roof, will receive stiffening ribs and a pair of roof rails for attaching an additional trunk.

The exterior of the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018 received minimal changes, otherwise it is the well-known brutal Gelik, with a strict style and its own character. Classic details left behind, exactly what confuses the imagination between new and old SUV, but the front end still spits out the third generation W464.

The interior of the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018-2020

If external Mercedes-Benz view G-Class 2018 is similar to the previous generation, the interior has been completely updated, leaving only separate functional buttons from the 2nd generation. Despite the preserved rough style, the interior of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018 has become much more luxurious in terms of comfort and functionality. Front Panel will largely depend on the selected SUV configuration. The multimedia and the dashboard were put under one safety glass, but the differences will be in the most dashboard... The basic configurations received a pointer speedometer and a tachometer, with a color display between them.

The steering wheel of the 2018-2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV reminds many of the S-Class, three spokes, two of which are reserved for function buttons, including touch buttons.

Digital instrument panel is based on a 12.3 "display, with the ability to display 3D navigation maps and change the location of devices. The same size touchscreen is allocated for multimedia system Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018. Systems are still the basis Apple CarPlay and Android Auto... The center console of the SUV soon received more modern style, the very top is decorated with two round air ducts, between them three classic lock control buttons all-wheel drive.

The rest is occupied by a climate control panel and a security system panel, paired with a mechanical branded watch. With a minimum number of buttons, the central tunnel of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018 is made, two cupholders were hidden in front of the plug (there was no such thing before), then the menu for controlling the multimedia and audio system, as well as a couple of buttons for security systems and quick access to cameras around the perimeter.

The central tunnel ends with a spacious armrest. It accommodates all types of charging, including wireless charging, of the Qi standard. Optionally, you can order a proprietary set of Mercedes-Benz G-Class for recharging gadgets. WITH back side the armrest was equipped with two air ducts, a temperature control panel and an ashtray.

Seats Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018 deserve special attention. The first row has modern high-back seats, middle lateral support and a variety of adjustment options. With a pleasant heating and cooling installed, yet the landing is high, and there is not much space to the roof. Second row of seats will surprise in its own way, the owners of the second generation of the SUV will appreciate the folding system. It is necessary to fold the sofa forward and fold the backrests.

Backrest folding ratio 60/40, in some versions 40/20/40. The seat back got the ability to adjust the angle of inclination, and the row itself was moved into the trunk by 4 cm, but due to this, the volume of the trunk decreased. As many say, the trunk of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has been domesticated by adding better and softer materials.
