The new Audi A8: back seat report. New Audi A8: first test drive On the waves of the road surface

The whole photo session

During the planned modernization, the flagship model Audi A8 slightly changed in appearance and received a number of technical innovations. We have tested almost all modifications of the novelty

At the presentation executive sedan there was not perhaps a hybrid modification of it - all the other options were at my disposal. But first I'll tell you about external changes... The car received new bumpers, a more prominent bonnet and a volumetric radiator grille, as well as new "insides" of the headlights. Slightly modified taillights, which is why the "feed" has become more expressive.

But the main innovation is the aforementioned “insides” of the headlights, offered as an option. They are called Matrix LEDs (i.e. matrix LEDs) and differ from all others led headlights the presence of 25 light-emitting modules high beamallowing you to configure the light beam in a variety of options. Each of these 25 elements can work independently, almost completely eliminating the dazzle of oncoming and passing vehicles, even if there are several of them on the road. In addition, the headlights work in conjunction with the navigation system to illuminate bends in advance.

Among other innovations, it is worth noting the head-up display, which duplicates the readings of instruments and navigation systems, as well as a noise suppression system that generates noise through the speakers of the audio system in antiphase to the sounds of the engine, oncoming air flow and tires. Previously, nothing like this was offered for the A8.

And finally, the engines. Almost all modifications (with the exception of the hybrid version with a 2-liter turbo engine and an electric motor, which has not changed) have become either more powerful and more economical at the same time, or simply more economical with the same power. So, the 3-liter gasoline compressor TFSI now develops 310 hp. against 290 hp The turbodiesel of the same volume added from 250 to 258 hp. A 4-liter petrol turbo engine began to develop 435 hp. instead of 420 hp, and the 4.2-liter unit on diesel added 35 hp. - up to 385 hp But sports version The S8 with the 4.0-liter TFSI remained at 520 hp. The flagship 6.3-liter 12-cylinder modification has not changed in power either - it still develops 500 hp. In the salons of Russian official dealers while only the 435bhp petrol version is available, other engines will appear during 2014.

A couple of strokes

At first glance, the interior has not changed at all. Moreover, you can order a car with exactly the same interior as before the restyling. And from the updates - several types of exclusive finishes with expensive varieties of leather and wood, as well as new color solutions... Otherwise, the same reference ergonomics, excellent quality of finishing materials and a wide variety of textures, which makes the interior look somewhat fractional.

The geometry of the fit is perfect - the ranges of movement of the seat and steering column will suit riders of all sizes. The same can be said for the shape of the seat. With the help of a small “ring” on the sidewall of the base of the chair, you can choose the level of lateral support for the hips and back (separately), the height and degree of “bulging” of the lumbar support, change the length of the pillow and “break” the back. Moreover, all actions are duplicated on the screen of the MMI interface with excellent graphics. The seat padding is moderately tight, but the headrest is still too rigid.

I get settled on the second row of a short wheelbase modification. There is, in principle, enough space in all directions, but those who like to drive with a hired driver will certainly prefer the long wheelbase version. However, more about her later. Even in the short version, the seats with an excellent profile are equipped with many adjustments and allow you to sit and recline. The only inconvenience, in my opinion, is that when the backrest is tilted, the pillow moves forward and upward, strongly lifting the front part. That is, half-lying will have to go with raised knees. Otherwise, the comfort is at the highest level. Of course, there is an individual separate "climate", heating, ventilation and massage, as well as the ability to move the right front passenger forward, if suddenly there is not enough legroom.

But in the long-wheelbase modification, it is unlikely that there will be a need to move the front rider, since the legroom is a carriage and a small trolley. For this parameter, neither the BMW 7 Series nor the new generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class can be compared with the Audi A8. And as an option, you can order a driving forward right front seat, from the back of which the footrest folds back. The only thing missing is the cushions on the headrest, otherwise it, like in front, is harsh.

It's all about the settings

The first modification I tested was equipped with a 4.2-liter turbodiesel with 385 hp. On idle there is no engine sound or vibration. The thrust is powerful at any speed, and the sound is noble. Automatic transmission works unnoticed. Acceleration is very smooth and therefore imperceptible. In this regard, the speedometer must be monitored very carefully so as not to lose your license. Fortunately, now the Audi A8 has a readout projector on windshield... Moreover, the numbers can be adjusted in height using a simple adjuster to the left of the steering wheel, while competitors from BMW have this procedure hidden in the jungle of menus.

Exchange rate stability on the Autobahn - rail. Active steering in my test car is high speed “Opens up” and almost does not react to small deviations of the “steering wheel”. On the other hand, at low speed, the car is characterized by quick reactions. But nevertheless, the modification with the most powerful turbodiesel in the gamut does not "ignite" on a winding track at all. The weight of the front end is felt, and the reactions to pressing the accelerator pedal are damped.

Another thing is the petrol 520-horsepower sports modification of the S8. Bubbling exhaust, instant gas responses and cannon acceleration. This sedan is not at all like an executive car in its habits. He literally asks for winding roads. Thanks to the rear active differential, which adds traction to the outer rear wheel during cornering, understeer is almost not felt, and the car itself seems to be reduced in size. And on the Autobahn, the stability is great. Moreover, if the diesel A8 at speeds under 200 km / h is already turning sour, the S8 version continues to confidently gain momentum up to a cutoff of 250 km / h.

The smoothness of the S8, however, is also not quite representative - the chassis rigidly recounts even the few irregularities of German roads. In Russia, I think the situation will worsen. However, the version with a 4.2-liter turbodiesel, although softer, is also harsh for the executive class. And all the modifications I tested (except for one, which I will talk about later), the noise of the oncoming air flow and tires is clearly audible.

The petrol version with a 4-liter 435-horsepower TFSI for driving comfort is at the level of the 385-horsepower diesel version. That is, the car drives pretty well, but on bumps it passes hard jolts. But the engine here, according to sensations, is almost as good as the one on the S8 version. Which, in fact, is not surprising, since the motor of both modifications is essentially the same, only the degree of forcing is different. The car accelerates like a cannon, but growls not so much and in turns it is no worse. In short, this option delivers almost as much fun on the twisty track as the S8, and at the same time offers a higher level of comfort.

Modification with 3-liter 310-horsepower compressor gasoline engine rides not so noble. Acceleration is good here too, although it doesn't get drunk anymore, and the sound of the engine is simpler. And the suspension is even tighter on this instance - almost like the sporty S8. And the wheels and tires have nothing to do with it - all tested specimens (except for the version with a 3-liter turbodiesel) were equipped with the same 20-inch wheels and the same "rubber". But the handling is almost better than the aforementioned S8. And all because the 3-liter version has a very light engine, and this is very noticeable. In turns, this A8 dives incredibly easily.

I change to a version with a 3-liter turbo diesel with 258 hp. This car has 19-inch wheels. Maybe he'll ride softer? No matter how it is. The sedan's travel is as stiff as the 3.0-liter version. gasoline unit... In general, these modifications are very similar in terms of dynamics, only the sound of the turbodiesel is not particularly impressive. But the controllability is at the same level. That is, for driving pleasure, it is best to choose from the 3-liter options, and gasoline or diesel is not so important.

And finally, the flagship version with the 6.3-liter W12 engine. It is only long-wheelbase and meets the concept of "executive car" without any reservations. Steering without an active gearbox (although an active steering wheel can be ordered) provides smooth cornering reactions, and the sound from the engine is barely audible, but at the same time the most noble. Responses to pressing the accelerator pedal at naturally aspirated engine perfect - smooth and immediate at the same time. And finally I felt the real smoothness of the ride. Hard shocks on bumps disappeared somewhere, and the car rolled very gently. Moreover, I drove all modifications on the same roads, and the smoothness of the 12-cylinder version was radically different from all the others.

The same applies to sound insulation - the noise of the incoming air stream and tires comes as if from behind a very thick wall. How is this possible? Maybe the flagship version is equipped with additional noise-absorbing materials? Not. It's all about the optional noise cancellation system, which does an excellent job of doing its job. Its speakers, by the way, can be seen in the ceiling above the heads of the riders. This option is available for other versions as well, and I think it will not be superfluous.

Updated Audi The A8 is surprisingly versatile. It seems that the model is one, but its versions travel in completely different ways. So the buyer will be able to choose a car for himself, based on personal preferences.

Transmission four-wheel drive; A8

The laws of the genre require me to tell how the car accelerates and prescribes turns, which engines are more suitable for it, whether it makes sense to overpay for four-wheel drive. But when it comes to executive sedans, the rules change: it's not the driver who chooses the car!

Megalomania

That is why I started my acquaintance with the Audi A8 with rear seat... I unfold my seat as far as possible and move the right front seat as far forward as possible. Not bad, but you won't be able to sleep comfortably in this position. And for some reason, the rear head restraints are manually adjusted.

And also, as it turned out, it was in vain that I put on ceremonial socks in the hope of a beautiful photo session: there was no advertised foot massager in my car. Okay, I'm not a Rothschild, seven programs of back massage, ventilation and heating are enough for me in the seat.

The road led us to serpentines in the vicinity of Valencia, and a colleague sitting at the wheel pressed the pedal. In the first bend, my smartphone made a long-distance flight from the armrest under the driver's seat. The subsequent acceleration on a short straight sent the comfort control tablet in my face, which I held relaxed in my hands. I would dismiss such a "personalist"!

Having got over after a short halt behind the wheel, I myself drove faster than usual - the "eight" handles with dignity, even encourages. But there is in this some kind of bifurcation of the "automobile personality": the Audi A8 is not suitable for such pirouettes. Not according to ability - according to status. For twenty minutes I got seasick behind me, and now, I look, and my partner's face has changed. Definitely the chef should be driven in a different rhythm - slowly, with dignity.

New world

I was offered a choice of keys to cars with 3-liter six-cylinder engines - petrol (340 hp) and diesel (286 hp). The capabilities of both are enough for powerful acceleration - at least in the range of up to 120 km / h (this is the limit allowed on the roads of Spain). Acceleration to hundreds - in 5.7 and 5.9 seconds, respectively. Personally, I would not even look at larger engines. But that is me. And buyers of such machines often do not rack their brains, but order "full stuffing".

Diesel is, first of all, draft draft. However, his superiority was almost imperceptible. And the characteristic diesel rumble during acceleration is somewhat hysterical. However, two indisputable advantages of a diesel engine remain: it consumes five liters less in the same driving modes, and for the Russian market it will probably be derated to a tax-friendly 249 hp. (this is already a standard move of the German "big three").

The third level autopilot, which allows you to take your hands off the wheel, will not appear on the A8 until mid-2019. The system is ready, but is waiting for changes in legislation. In the meantime, the car can walk in the middle of the lane and independently adjust the speed in accordance with the established road signs, boundaries settlements and the upcoming turns.

On the front panel is the kingdom of touchscreens. Classic keys and twists are gone from everywhere! Headlights, the intensity of the blowing from the front deflectors, alarm, climate control - everything is controlled through touch panels. And the buttons on the steering wheel were not touched - so as not to become like a Mercedes?

The new style of communication with the car takes some getting used to. Displays and icons of virtual keys do not glare even in the bright sun, the performance is excellent, the response is clear. But, relaxingly resting my hand on the gearbox joystick, I accidentally changed the climate control settings more than once. The sensitivity threshold in areas not protected from unintentional contact should be increased. And, of course, it is very interesting how all this luxury will make friends with the Russian winter? Candidates for frost testing are already catching up - in addition to the Audi A8, this is also Range rover Velar.

Up and down

As a VIP passenger, I found myself deprived of the leg massage function, and sitting in the driver's seat, I could not comprehensively appreciate the unique optional air suspension without classic stabilizers lateral stability, which knows how to adapt to irregularities: all available for driving "eights" turned out to be with the usual "pneumatics". And only on a specially prepared site I was able to drive a little on the A8 with an advanced chassis.

To demonstrate its capabilities, the Germans built a protruding manhole and a huge "speed bump" - like those that we often make of asphalt. Stereo camera on windshield scans the road and recognizes a bump. Approaching it, the car automatically raises the body by 50 mm, compensating for the forthcoming vertical movement, and the suspension works out the unevenness, practically not transmitting vibrations further: sitting behind the wheel, you practically do not feel the "wave".

However, magic has a limit. The electronics do not have supernatural speed: the "predictive" function works only at speeds up to 60 km / h. Above this limit, the suspension is no longer able to level the relief. It was not for nothing that we were shown the passage of only smooth and strongly rising irregularities. Road trifles and deep holes "smart pneuma" will not work out so well.

This suspension has other abilities as well. When there is a threat of a side impact, it instantly raises the "impact" side of the body by 80 mm, substituting a strong threshold for contact, which increases the level of protection for passengers (usually the main impact energy is absorbed by the central pillar, which is often not strong enough).

Audi switches to new system designations. Now the double-digit index indicates the power range, not the engine size (this information has become useless in the era of turbo engines of varying degrees of boost and electrification). For example, the nameplate "30" indicates a motor with a recoil of 110-130 hp, and "70" indicates an engine with an output of over 544 hp. "50 kopecks" at the stern is a sign of a 286-horsepower diesel engine.

Audi is moving to a new designation system. Expensive crossovers have a "landing" mode, in which the air suspension is lowered as much as possible, making it easier to access the passenger compartment. On the other hand, in the Audi A8, the body rises by 40 mm when the door is opened. The engineer assigned to the prototype enthusiastically told me how much more comfortable it became to get into the car. I did not feel the difference, but out of politeness I did not upset the engineer. Older people will surely welcome this suspension curtsey.

Finally, the air suspension with electromechanical stabilizers more effectively dampens roll in corners and dives when braking. We will wait for the middle of 2018, when production cars with such a suspension appear. In the meantime, in Ingolstadt, it is being brought to the ideal. Apparently, not everything went smoothly, since the first G8s go on sale without the system that the main competitor has.

In Russia, Audi A8 will appear in the first quarter of next year (if the Moscow office does not revise the plan).

At first, they promise to import only 340-horsepower gasoline cars. Will arrive later diesel version and top-end A8 with V8 and W12 engines.

Prices will be announced later, but a fairly accurate forecast can be given now. BMW 740Li xDrive with 326 hp give for 6.4 million rubles, and the 367-strong Mercedes-Benz S 450 4Matic - for 6.5 million. This means that somewhere nearby there will be a gasoline Audi A8 L TFSI quattro.

Audi A8 (Audi A8) test drive

Test- drive Audi A8 (Audi A8)

On the new audi sedan A8 (Audi A8) will be autopilot. And a full-fledged one - the so-called third level. This is when you can let go of the steering wheel and go about your business. The rest of the car must do itself. And this, you see, is a kind of breakthrough not only in the automotive industry, but also in our everyday life. What science fiction writers have been talking about for so long on the pages of their books has finally become a reality.

No wonder that as soon as we got the G8 fourth generation at their disposal, then immediately reached for the coveted autopilot button. And ... this very button was not found. There is no her! It turned out that the autopilot will not be installed on the Audi A8 yet. The Germans argue that this is hindered by current legislation. So far, the only country where you can entrust the driving of a car to a level three autopilot is Germany.

In the rest of Europe, as well as in other priority markets for the Audi A8, such driving will be illegal. Naturally, this cannot be allowed in any case. Although something suggests that the autopilot itself at Audi is still damp. So they are in no hurry to german company - neither lobby for changes in legislation, nor install the autopilot itself on their cars.

Although the new Audi A8 is really ready to drive on its own in more or less ideal conditions. There are twelve sonars, several cameras, scanning the surrounding space with laser beams. Making it all work in unison is a challenge. But how much the vaunted autopilot will really be needed by the future audi owners A8 is a big question. For example, a German sedan is most often bought in our long-wheelbase version, which means that most of the time its owner spends not behind the wheel, but in the back passenger seat.

And at the wheel is a chauffeur who gets paid for his work. And there is no point in making his work easier by paying extra for a not cheap autopilot, it seems like there is no reason. And the accidents, which periodically get "self-piloted" Tesla, still give food for thought. And after thinking well, you come to the conclusion that it is too early to trust your life even to the most advanced electronics.

Okay, since we have not yet been able to evaluate the autopilot from Audi, we will focus on traditional values. That is, on rear seats, which in the case of executive sedans, by definition, should be ideal. This is without exaggeration in the new Audi A8.

There is enough space in the back, although with the change of generations, if it became more, then in best case a couple of centimeters. The fit itself is also impeccable: the seats are moderately soft, their profile is perfectly adjusted, the head is supported by a soft headrest. Among the innovations are optional removable tablets mounted on the backrests of the front seats, with which passengers can control ventilation and heated seats, climate control and Bang & Olufsen audio system. The latter, which is to be expected, sounds great. Interestingly, the German company did not dare to completely abandon the usual buttons. With their help, in the long-wheelbase version of the sedan, passengers adjust their seats for themselves.

But you have to control, for example, ventilation or massage from a separate small tablet, which is located in the center armrest. The ventilation system at speed 3 was unexpectedly noisy. But I liked the massage so much that I didn't want to leave the passenger seat at all. And if you supplement it with relaxing music and a glass of some noble drink ... Beauty!

But we were not destined to taste all the delights of spending time on the second row of the Audi A8. No evaluation driver's seateven if it was occupied by a hired chauffeur, the appraisal of the car would be far from complete. Naturally, the Audi A8 behind the wheel is just as concerned about as the passengers. Moreover, the German sedan is now ready to take care of the cyclists and motorcyclists scurrying around. In Europe, with suddenly opening car doors they face enviable regularity.

Now, if the sensors detect the approach of something on two wheels, smart electronics simply won't let the driver open the door. After a second, the locks are automatically unlocked, which should be enough for the cyclist to leave the danger zone. And this most dangerous zone in the form of a door will be more intact.

Similar electronic systemsdesigned to save, warn and do God knows what else, the newest Audi A8 has a lot. You can talk about them endlessly. But is it necessary? Most often, they will do their work unnoticed by the owner of the car. There will be something else in sight - a salon, which, in comparison with that of a sedan previous generation became an order of magnitude more modern. What is at least worth steering wheelstylized as the steering wheel of a Formula 1 car.

And even if there is no special sense, given the purpose of the Audi A8, there is no such imitation, but somehow it all looks very fresh. Although the main innovation in the salon, of course, should be considered the emergence of touch panels. Even the ventilation deflectors on the Audi A8 can now be opened and closed using sensors.

Specifications Audi A8

In motion, we have so far managed to evaluate only the 3-liter petrol version power 340 horse power... The engine, its characteristics and coordination of work with the 8-speed gearbox are so good that you don't even want to think about more powerful "eights". I bet that cars with them will be bought solely for image reasons, and not because someone lacks the capabilities of the gasoline "six".

Although since we are talking about the image (read - about show-off), then everyone who is asking the price of the Audi A8 should know that the Germans are working on the version with the W12. A hybrid will also be available, which can be recharged contactlessly. But this is in Europe. So far, very few people think about ecology in our country, so the main demand will probably fall on the 340-strong version.

"Horses" from Ingoldstadt absolutely do not care that the body of the Audi A8 is not so light. It turns out that with the change of generations, the percentage of "heavy" steel in the total mass has even increased and now reaches 40 percent. Everything else is predominantly aluminum. Of course, nothing prevented the Audi engineers from putting the sedan on a diet, but they did not fundamentally do this. Safety comes first. The suspension schemes have not fundamentally changed with the generational change, but now it is exclusively pneumatic on all Audi A8s.

It is interesting that the racks themselves are single-chamber, while on some competitors there are as many as three cameras on each rack. However, Audi engineers are well aware of this and do not express any particular concerns about the conservative decision they chose, either voluntarily or not. They say that the Audi A8 is already going great.

In general, this is true. But not without the notorious "but" was not done. On gentle waves, the buildup of the car could be slightly less. And the transition to the Dynamic mode does not change much. People who are seasick on a long journey can get seasick. There is only one way out - to fork out and choose a "eight" with an active suspension. I don't even want to think about how much it will cost to repair it, but the Audi A8 rides better with it. The rolls are less, the pecks during acceleration and braking are not so noticeable, and the ride is better on good roads.

The active suspension has only one drawback - it works out medium irregularities harder. And this does not allow us to unambiguously recommend the "active" Audi A8, since some of our roads are almost entirely composed of similar average irregularities. We'll have to wait until the German sedan gets to our country, and then check how it will behave in our conditions.

Then, for sure, it will be possible to check another declared "chip", which was not on the test sedans. This is a system that will use a video camera to prepare the suspension in advance for irregularities. Although, again, I would not be surprised if in our completely non-greenhouse conditions everything turns out to be far from being as cool as the Germans imagine in their branded videos. But even if our cars lose all this active-passive-safe "husk", the Audi A8 still has every chance to seize the class leadership that has eluded it for so long. The German sedan is comfortable, fast, technologically advanced, relevant and modern. He is, after all, simply handsome.

But I'm afraid that the Audi A8 won't be able to keep the lead for a long time. There is no huge leap forward in comparison with the sedan of the previous generation, so the new generation of the same Mercedes Benz S-class will immediately return everything to square one. The Audi A8 will get a chance to become the "king of the hill" for a long time only if the promised real autopilot appears on all versions and is available for legal use in all countries where the G8 will be sold. But this seems to be too far away.

Price for Audi A8:

New audi A8 video test drive:

When I picked up the car from Audi, I was afraid that three petrol liters of the engine would not be enough for such a colossus. How wrong I was ... Even with this engine, the A8 is damn fast. You just need to not be lazy and turn on the sports mode more often. I will say this: this unit rides harder than the eight-cylinder versions of the previous generation A8! At the same time, even if you do not hesitate with the gas pedal, as I did for almost a week, the fuel consumption will not go beyond reasonable: 14.7 liters per 100 km - it seems to me more than an adequate figure after all my night "rides ".

And when the snow melted under the onslaught of reagents damned by all the townspeople, the A8 again became just a limousine. Great car for business person... But you and I know what he is capable of, don't we?

Competitors

The rivals of A8 are one more serious than the other. But if you look at compatriots, the difference is clearly visible. Mercedes S-class - softness itself. The last generation W222 is obscenely luxurious, but the brand philosophy is always the same: the passenger is in charge. The BMW 7 Series is, on the contrary, more likely for the driver: the seven is noticeably tougher, and no one hides that it is built around the driver and is designed to indulge him in everything. Audi is a truly versatile option. He will suit both corporate parks and those who like to drive himself. Well, I've already mentioned winter joys.

Quick jump to sections

The new Audi A8 has received a more faceted design and even more technology. Among the innovations and updates are active suspension, autopilot, as well as a composite body made of aluminum, steel, magnesium and even with a small amount of carbon fiber. Technologies have always been, allowing the new A8 to compete on an equal footing with the "seven" BMW.

The interior of the new Audi A8 looks high-tech, but rather modest, despite all the exhibitions and the abundance of leather. Black gloss reigns in the interior design. This is to prevent the darkness of the off displays from being conspicuous.

With conservatives in mind

However, in this respect, the new Audi A8 represents a revolutionary change. It's not because the new product wants to attract a younger audience. Times change mores. Today, each of us has a smartphone with a touchscreen in our pocket. Even conservatives no longer use push-button telephones.

Line of engines of the new Audi A8

The engine range offered for the new Audi A8 is more than varied. It starts with a two-liter turbo engine and ends.

In their own way technical device the new 2018 Audi A8 is a mild hybrid. A sophisticated 48-volt system is installed here, which powers all onboard systems... This allows the engine to be shut off internal combustionwhen the vehicle is coasting, for example. Moreover, he can do this in the speed range from 50 to 160 km / h.

On test drive Audi The A8 was provided with a diesel that develops 286 hp. and leaves "up to a hundred" in 5.9 seconds. The car was labeled L, which means Audi A8 long, in other words, long wheelbase. It is 130 mm longer than the standard one, but the control is big car on the mountain serpentine does not cause any problems.

The chassis of the new Audi A8

The Audi A8 is a highly maneuverable vehicle, primarily due to its fully steerable chassis. At speeds up to 60 km / h rear wheels turn in antiphase, which makes the car very maneuverable. Even the standard A8 has a smaller turning circle than the Audi A4. The elongated version, of course, has more. At speeds over 60 km / h, the rear wheels turn synchronously with the front wheels, which makes the car more stable. We were convinced of this during the test drive, passing along the mountain serpentine.

The door closers on the flagship large sedan are no longer surprising. And the new Audi A8 has some kind of, so to speak, diverters. As soon as you pull the door handle easily, the door opens further on its own.

Though wheelbase the new A8 has increased by only 6 mm, the interior has added 3 cm in length. For some B-class car, for example Solaris, this would be a very serious figure. However, for new Audi A8, with its enormous space inside, this increase is completely invisible.

The second row of the new Audi A8

The passengers of the second audi series The A8 has a remote control with rather large physical buttons. If you don't really like the buttons, you can use a redundant system, since you can also control it using a small touchpad.

So, with its help, those sitting in the back can turn on the "Massage" or forcefully move the seats of the first row. There is another large entertainment tablet in the second row. On the waves of the road surface

The new 2018-2019 Audi A8 - the car is quite soft and stable. Even in the "Dynamic" mode, the movement is not accompanied by furious rigidity. In addition, there is a traditional system with electric motors, which helps the car to smoothly overcome the waves of the road surface, lifting one or another wheel at the right time. As the engineers of the German company explain, this system is designed to help with the passage of road waves, and pneumatic struts are enough for any small things on a bad road.

The new Audi A8 2018 will appear on russian market at the beginning of 2018. It is not yet known what configurations and what options will be available to us. Nevertheless, it is already known that the first engine will be a gasoline V6 with a volume of 3 liters and a capacity of 340 hp.
