Disappointed, I turned around and moved to the exit, when the manager stopped me and offered to inspect the car. Well, why not, yes? Inspected - liked it, took it. And so I became the proud owner of the Ford Focus III Trend Sport. Briefly about it: 1.6 engine, 125 hp. mechanics, rich equipment. I live and work in different cities and drive at least 120 km a day, I drive along the highway, the road is mostly good. My driving style is moderate - ie. I accelerate, brake, overtake, etc. smoothly, the average speed on the highway is about 110-120 km / h. I see no reason to keep the speed higher for a number of reasons, which I will miss in the recall. General impressions for six years of owning a car: - Outwardly, the Ford looks decent. - Inside, in front, there is enough space, the seats are comfortable, with lateral support. The driver's seat is adjustable in height, reach, etc., it is very convenient and easy to adjust everything for yourself. However, in the back, there is practically no space left in the passenger seats, it’s already becoming uncomfortable for two guys of an average configuration, talking about big guys, like me and my friends, it doesn’t make sense at all - there is zero for such places in the back, so those who are the largest were put forward, and the rest sat in the back. The trunk is good in terms of displacement, but it’s still tight in height. - The salon is very ergonomic, pleasant bluish lighting does not strain the eyes, everything you need is at hand. In general, the cabin is quite quiet. - In terms of visibility, it could be better, the left pillar slightly blocks the view, which meant that a couple of times there were dangerous situations. - The hodovka is pretty tough, like a tram. In the city, it is enough for the eyes, but on the highway there is a lack of strength - all the same, the 1.6 engine. For example, in order to overtake a truck, it is better to shift from fifth to fourth, but to third, then the maneuver will turn out great. The sports equipment is crammed with various inconspicuous but pleasant stray items, such as ESP, hill starting assistance, etc. One of the amenities is that when picking up speed, after releasing the gas to shift gears, they do not immediately drop to zero, but are set and stay at a certain number, depending on the speed. Those. the computer synchronizes the engine speed to the speed of the box / I will make a reservation right away, I don’t know if it’s the same on other tricks or not / - The head light, while the halogens were on, does not shine at all, you can’t see anything, especially in the slush. Wet dirt gets on heated lamps, dries up and visibility goes to zero. Since I mainly drive on the highway, it is quite natural that the entire hood, front windshield bumper and fenders were covered with micro-and not only chips, but not a single camelina appeared in 6 years, the iron was perfectly processed by the factory. However, on the rear wing, in the area of ​​​​the arch, the paint is peeling off, as I understand it on all Fords, nothing critical. - Electrical. This is a separate issue. Frequently changed lamps daylight. The rear brake lights and tumanok do not understand why they burn out, they also changed often. For a while I noticed that when I stopped at a gas station, only the floor of the car was lit up, i.e. only one side of the DRL and dimensions from the side of the tank. Later I read that this was done by the factory intentionally to highlight a specific side when stopping on the highway or anywhere else. And it can be run at will.

We are talking about a car whose popularity in Russia has gone through all the stages of fame. And indeed it is. For all the years of its existence, in the domestic market, Ford Focus has overcome milestone of 800 thousand cars sold, while the car itself has undergone 3 body generations and several restylings.
