I want to note the correct and adequate operation of the near / far switching function. Convenient and comfortable to use. The drive dynamics are enough for me, because 249 hp. I use it mainly when overtaking, which is quite enough. The car does not dispose to "annealing", it is for a comfortable and imposing ride. Ideal for medium to long distance road trips. At the cost of maintenance at the dealer, it is adequate to the present day and the category of the car. I note a really high-quality, good-quality body painting, there are practically no chips in the Toyota Highlander, unlike previous cars with a similar mileage.

A huge armrest (it's good that a lot of things will fit in there, it's bad that you gradually put everything that comes under your arm into it). Roomy. If you fold the second row (everything is very thoughtful and simple), you get a flat floor, two adults (for example, fishing) will be able to spend the night, I would say very comfortable. This winter, we went to rest, 6 adults and Thule on the roof, drove without problems and fatigue, Toyota Highlander rides confidently in the snow. I went everywhere, I was very pleased with the cross-country ability (at least I drove where the X5 could not). From the house (where they lived) to the slope, we loaded skis in Thule and drove 3 km for 10-13 people (in cramped conditions, but better than on foot).

Cons: weak brakes, more precisely, during intensive driving, the brake discs overheat, as a result of which they are driven, the steering wheel beats - a replacement. After the replacement, I drive calmly (I get used to it) - there are no problems since July last year. The Toyota Highlander should be driven without frequent "braking" with high speed, imposingly, despite the fact that there is enough power and you can drive. Music - everything is bad, especially the rear speakers - they can't do anything at all, they rattle above average, it's impossible to listen. It is possible for someone with JBL everything is different. Navigation - it's dangerous to believe it. Rain sensor - often lives its own life, I still do not understand the algorithm of its operation. The trunk lid - all winter (only in frost) it composted the brain, it did not open, then it did not close. I sprayed it with silicone - nothing helps, at the first frost I will change the motor of the electric drive under warranty, but this (according to the dealer) will not help. And the car accelerates very decently. Gear changes are almost not felt, everything is very smooth. I think it should be so. Consumption depends on driving style (everyone is probably tired of this phrase), but it is. In Moscow without traffic jams about 12, with them up to 20, along the highway 9-10, if you can get sick and at 7.5 on a short segment. Once again, I’m not a racer. Noise isolation is excellent, in any case, it was enough for me, I did not ride a German "troika", but I think the noise here is above average for sure. The engine in the Toyota Highlander is not annoying, all the noise comes mainly from the wheels. In general, the interior is not explosive. There was only one cricket - it was fixed under warranty (more on that below). Places inside in bulk, both in the cabin and in the trunk, the third row has never been laid out. The seats are not bad, not the best, but not bad, leather good quality... The flagship unit is installed only on the Highlander 2014 with all-wheel drive, it is aggregated with the same 6-speed automatic transmission.
