Lada Vesta (Vesta) - five-seater a car sedan, a descendant of Lada Priora. The concept was first presented in 2014. The manufacturer designated the project as a flagship one. It is assumed that Vesta will be equipped with a 1.8 liter engine, which was developed as part of the "project C". Also in the range of engines may appear a 1.4-liter supercharged power unit, producing 150 hp. power and 240 Nm of torque. VAZ employees are developing this motor together with Ricardo. It is also possible that the range of engines will be replenished with a 1.6-liter, 16-valve unit with 117 hp. from Renault Fluence.

According to reports, Lada Vesta will receive a modern manual transmission with cable drive switching mechanism. The automatic machine is not planned to be installed on LADA Vesta yet - instead of it, Vesta can receive the “robot” currently being developed jointly with ZF.

Vesta will have a completely original suspension with L-shaped arms, 5-degree castor and new steering knuckles. It will be mounted on a stretcher. Lada Vesta will receive steering and rear suspension from Renault Megane.

The price of LADA Vesta was initially announced within 400 thousand rubles. In May 2014, Bo Andersson in an interview reduced the cost of the car, saying that the price of Lada Vesta would start from 350-400 thousand rubles.

Design and construction

The design of the new Lada Vesta car is intertwined with the design of the Lada X-Ray crossover and is made in the form of X-graphics. At first glance, it becomes clear that this is perfect new car, which is not similar to any model previously released by AvtoVAZ. The new X-shaped design of the front of the car with elongated and angular optics and zigzag embossings on the sides of the body immediately catches the eye. When developing a new car, the safety of the driver and passengers was not spared. Even in the smallest configuration, there is already a system of exchange rate stability (ESC), anti-lock braking system (ABS), hill start assist, automatic door locking while driving and driver airbag. And all this is in the minimum configuration, just unheard of for a domestic car! In more expensive trim levels, much more systems and features that enhance both safety and ride comfort.

Lada cars Vesta are equipped with two different 16-valve engines with a displacement of 1596 and 1774 cm3 and power of 106 and 122 horsepower respectively. Moreover, with the first 1.6-liter engine, both a mechanical and a robotic 5-speed gearbox are installed together, and with a 1.8-liter engine, only a robotic 5-speed gearbox is installed.
